Rebirth as The Billionaire's Seventh Wife-Chapter 223: Happiness That Will Never Be Forgotten (2) - END
Chapter 223: Happiness That Will Never Be Forgotten (2) - END
Later that afternoon, Aurora sat on the bench with Thomas Moon, watching her children and their friends play on the beach.
She rarely had time to talk privately with her father because her children or others usually surrounded them, making it hard for her to express her true feelings about her identity.
Yes, she still wanted her father to know about it. Plus, watching him grow older made her worry that she might not get the chance to tell him the truth.
Since arriving here, Aurora has already decided to try again. Perhaps, after so many years of caring for her child, he might be able to figure something out.
"Uncle Thomas..." Aurora smiled warmly at him before continuing, "Thank you for taking care of Will, Ethan, and also Emily..."
Thomas looked at Aurora with a gentle smile and softly said, "Rory, there’s no need to say those words. I do it myself—not because you or Alex asked me, but because my deepest feelings guide me."
Aurora’s heart started to tighten as she thought about how her father was beginning to sense a connection between them.
"Uncle Thomas, do you mean you feel everything when you see them?"
"I’m not quite sure what it is, but perhaps because you and Alex already see me as part of your family, I feel a strong connection with them. It’s almost as if they are my own grandchildren—"
Thomas’s words caught in his throat as sadness welled up in his heart, reminding him of his poor daughter. He bitterly smiles at Aurora before turning his gaze back to William and the others in the distance.
Aurora’s hand clenched tightly as she heard her father’s words, her eyes filling with tears as she gazed at him. When she looks closely, she can see the sadness in his expression.
"Dad, they are your grandchildren! I don’t know if you hear me this time, but I’m your daughter, I’m your real Rory!" Aurora said with a bitter smile, turning her gaze away from her father before looking at her children.
In a whisper-soft voice, Aurora continued her sentence, "I don’t know how many times I’ve told you this, but believe me, I’m your daughter, Aurora Moon. After my car accident, I woke up in this girl, Aurora Spencer’s body, and since then I’ve been alive as her..."
She took a deep sigh to fill her stuffy lungs with fresh air before continuing.
"Over the past year, only Alex, Rena, and Dany have known about my rebirth. I’ve tried to tell you many times, but I always fail—you’re never going to hear me, Dad. Because you need to believe I’m Aurora Moon for you to understand and listen to everything I say..."
After a few moments of silence, Aurora turned to look at Thomas Moon and was surprised to see him now staring at her.
He said nothing, but his gaze looked different from his usual way of looking at her, like there was sadness and a shocked flicker in his eyes.
Instantly, her heart clenched in shock as she realized something.
"Y-You hear my words?" Aurora feels thrilled that her father finally hears her. But seeing him not say anything, not even a slight reaction, made her heart sink again.
’What do you expect, Rory! Your father will never hear that!’
She swallowed her bitterness, disappointed that her father still hadn’t heard her.
Not wanting to cause more confusion for him, Aurora fought back tears as she looked toward her child, who was playing with Alex on the beach. She also notices Renata and Danny with their daughter and joins them.
When she was about to leave to play with her children, suddenly Thomas Moon’s words abruptly stopped her.
"Rory, are you telling the truth?"
’Oh my goodness! He heard??’ Aurora quickly turns to see her father, and her tears start to fill her eyes again.
"D-Dad... Are you seriously hearing what I’m saying?" Aurora asked through her tears. She was overwhelmed with joy as she could no longer hold back.
"Yes. I hear you. I hear everything, but honestly, it’s so frightening to believe you’re actually the one speaking to me. It feels almost like I’m hallucinating, hearing my daughter, Aurora Moon, possess you and now talk to me..."
Thomas can’t finish his word as he feels suffocated by the strange feeling welling inside him.
"Dad, I’m Rory, your daughter. You are not hallucinating—you can believe what I’m telling you." Aurora’s voice sounded shaky.
She took another deep breath as she continued, "That’s why I really want Alex to bring you to live with us. I want to see you every day and make sure you’re not living alone and hurting, feeling like you’re losing me..."
"Oh, Rory..." Thomas, no longer able to hold back his happiness, embraced Aurora tightly and expressed her mixed feelings of sadness and joy.
He had always believed, deep down, that Aurora Spencer was his daughter. Still, he never expressed this openly, fearing that others might think he was crazy.
"Dad, I’m so glad you finally understand. It’s the biggest wish I’ve ever had—to share who I truly am with you."
"Rory, thank you for finally clearing up my confusion all this time. I always thought I was crazy for believing you are my daughter. Recently, I sometimes struggle to tell if you’re truly my daughter or not..." freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
Aurora feels overwhelmed with happiness upon hearing his words. She could only cry tears of joy in his embrace—the same with Thomas Moon.
They both hug while sharing their thoughts.
After some time, they shared their feelings with each other.
Finally, Thomas released his embrace and looked her in the eyes.
"I will now die in peace, Rory, knowing you are happy with Alex and all your children. I will now have the courage to meet your mother and tell her everything about you..."
"You will not die sooner, Dad! You will live a long life and see all your grandchildren grow..." Aurora said while wiping her tears.
"I will... I will... stay longer for them."
...
While Aurora and Thomas continued their conversation, Alex’s worried voice suddenly came from afar.
"Everything alright, Rory? Uncle Moon?" Alex asked worriedly as he walked toward them.
Thomas looked at Alex, and a warm smile appeared on his face as he stood up and faced him.
"Thank you so much, Alex... Thank you," Thomas gently expressed his genuine feelings.
Before Alex could ask, Thomas already embraced him tightly.
Alex was confused, but he didn’t resist the embrace. He glanced at Aurora, who looked at him with her teary eyes.
After Thomas gently released his embrace, he looked at Aurora with a warm smile.
"Rory, I’ll go play with the kids now. You can talk to him..." he said happily as he moved closer to his grandchild, his face shining with joy.
Alex, who still clouds in confusion, turns to Aurora and asks, "Rory, what happened to him? Why are you crying?"
"Alex, my dad, he finally heard me. He knows I’m his daughter!"
Alex was stunned while sitting beside her.
"He really can hear you?"
Aurora can’t speak; happy tears stream down her face again. She can only manage to say, "Hmm..."
"Congratulations, dear. I am so happy for you and Uncle Moon..."
Alex embraced her tightly. He is genuinely happy for her. Finally, God granted what she truly wanted; her father knew about everything.
