Rebirth in Journey to the West: Sun Wukong-Chapter 534 Are You Blind? (Second Update!)
(PS: Just got home after running errands, wrote one chapter first, and will continue after having a meal!)
The golden light of the Void-Breaking Starry Eyes shone upon the space node; the powerful fluctuations of strength spread outwards but were blocked by a golden semi-transparent barrier, preventing them from dispersing.
As the golden light continuously shone, the space node began to expand, turning into an entrance wide enough for one person, leading to the Sukhavati Realm.
Leaving the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod behind to maintain the barrier, Sun Wukong flashed and entered the Sukhavati Realm.
"Eh? Someone's here!"
As soon as he entered the Sukhavati Realm, Sun Wukong sensed something stirring in his heart, realizing someone else was inside—but it was not Amitabha. Instead, it was a Quasi-Saint powerhouse, who seemed unaware of Sun Wukong's arrival.
Transforming into a trail of dust, Sun Wukong flew towards the source of his sensing. Soon, he arrived at the location of nine steep mountain peaks, arranged like a serpentine dragon. At the top of each peak, Stellar Aura Chains, formed from stellar spiritual energy, converged towards the center of a valley above.
Stellar Aura Chains!
Just like the Stellar Aura Chains that had sealed the Heaven-Defying Demon Emperor Mu Chenxuan beneath Flower-Fruit Mountain!
If things were as expected, Amitabha was likely imprisoned here. Yet, the valley was filled with fog, and a special power obscured the view; Sun Wukong could not see the scene within.
"I, Old Sun, refuse to believe this!"
"Void-Breaking Starry Eyes!"
Sun Wukong activated his Void-Breaking Divine Eye to the Fourth Phase, the level of the Void-Breaking Starry Eyes, peering through the mist-enveloped valley.
Under the gaze of the Void-Breaking Starry Eyes, all barriers and restraints became illusory. Sun Wukong's vision pierced through the fog, revealing the scene within the valley, which immediately sparked a surge of anger in his eyes:
"You beasts!"
In the air above the valley, a bald man with a bare upper body was pierced and firmly bound by nine huge Stellar Chains, his body covered in blood. Above his head hung a large cauldron radiating Buddha's Light, incessantly drawing out the man's origin power.
This bald man was clearly Amitabha.
A bald monk, dressed in a Bodhisattva's kasaya and holding a treasure vase atop his head, wielded a light whip, ruthlessly lashing at Amitabha.
"You bald donkey, will you speak or not? Where is the Chaos Divine Pearl?"
The bald monk was none other than Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, who, along with Guanyin Bodhisattva, were previously the left and right protectors under Amitabha. However, after Tathagata Buddha usurped the foundations of the Buddhist Sect from Amitabha, both Mahasthamaprapta and Guanyin Bodhisattva pledged allegiance to Tathagata. Moreover, Mahasthamaprapta became a loyal lackey, responsible for the supervision and coercion of Amitabha over the years.
Now with Samantabhadra Bodhisattva perished, the heavy task of overseeing, coercing, and inquiring about the whereabouts of the remaining Chaos Divine Pearl in Amitabha's possession fell upon Mahasthamaprapta. For years, day and night, he exerted unending threats and torture upon Amitabha, using every conceivable cruel method on his former benefactor. Had Amitabha not already become a Heavenly Dao Saint, he might have been completely tormented to death by Mahasthamaprapta.
Even so, Amitabha had been tortured beyond human recognition. The Stellar Chains suppressed his strength, leaving him unable to resist Mahasthamaprapta's torment, surviving only by relying on the origin power of a Heavenly Dao Saint.
However, from what Sun Wukong was witnessing now, it seemed that Amitabha could at most endure for another hundred or two hundred years before completely exhausting his strength.
"Don't waste your effort! Even in death, I will never hand over the Chaos Divine Pearl to you! Tell Tathagata to abandon this fantasy!"
Amitabha Buddha struggled to show a mocking cold smile, "Buddhism is all about karma and retribution! The cycle of Heaven's Dao is inescapable, retribution is certain! Someone will take my place to settle scores with him!"
"Still so stubborn and foolish even when death is at hand!"
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva's face flashed an insidious expression, "You want to die, I simply won't let you die that easily! I will drain all your origin power, torture you slowly until you die! Ha-ha, ha-ha-ha!"
The cruel laughter began to echo throughout the Sukhavati Realm, and Sun Wukong's expression grew increasingly dark amid this laughter.
This is what they call great compassion and great mercy! This is the true face of the Buddha Bodhisattvas!
Such ugliness, so nauseating!
Sun Wukong could not bear it any longer!
"For someone like you to occupy the honored position of a Bodhisattva, to be worshipped by the world's incense offerings, truly the Heavens are blind! The universe is heartless, treating all beings as worthless!"
Sun Wukong's mocking laughter began to resonate through the Sukhavati Realm; Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, who was about to continue wielding the Light Whip, suddenly had a drastic change in expression, turned his head in shock, "Who's there? Come out!"
"I've been right in front of you all along, are you blind?"
Sun Wukong removed his invisibility technique and stood upright before Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, looking at him with disdain.
"Sun, Sun Wukong?!"
Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva's eyes almost bulged out of their sockets. Was he seeing hallucinations? Why would the Great Sage Equalling Heaven, Sun Wukong, appear here?
This is Sukhavati Realm, a secret little world of Western Heaven Spiritual Mountain!
How did Sun Wukong get here? Did Tathagata Buddha and Ran Deng Ancient Buddha not sense anything?
"That's right, it's me, old Sun! It seems you do have some insight!"

Sun Wukong snorted coldly, "Who are you? Never mind, a man who is about to die need not know my name!"
After the battle at the Heavenly Court, Sun Wukong's appearance had been widely known throughout the Three Realms; anyone slightly knowledgeable could recognize the Great Sage Equalling Heaven, Sun Wukong. On the contrary, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva was relatively unknown, even in the Mortal Realm—most were familiar with Guanyin Bodhisattva but knew little about Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, who once served as Amitabha Buddha's protector alongside Guanyin.
Sun Wukong had never seen Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva and was unaware of his status within the Buddhist Sect, but he didn't need to know. From the moment Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva tortured Amitabha Buddha and uttered those indecent words, Sun Wukong had already sentenced Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva to death in his heart.
Scum like this, he would kill one as he met one, slay a pair as he encountered two!
"Sun Wukong, this is Western Heaven Spiritual Mountain; don't be too arrogant!"
Sun Wukong's words startled Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, and he bellowed with a mix of fierceness and timidity.
Sun Wukong's lips curled, not wasting his breath with any more words. He dashed forward in a flash, slamming his rod fiercely at Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva. For such a person, talking was simply a waste of breath—better to just finish him off!
As Sun Wukong moved, Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva instantly felt a formidable pressure, like facing the Tathagata Buddha himself, unable to muster even a sliver of strength to resist, and he was struck fiercely on the top of his head with the rod.
