Chapter 821: Chapter 821: Asking About Jiang Xue

Looking at his son’s adorable appearance, Jiang Xue’s mood improved significantly, and she said with a smile, "Son, call ’Mom’ again for me to hear!"

Jiang Xue was happily playing with her son at home, oblivious to the debates and speculations sparked at the hospital due to Mr. Yang’s unexpected recovery.

Professor Han suspected that it might have been Jiang Xue who cured Old Sir Jiang’s illness, while others believed it was Luo Feng because they had seen Luo Feng perform acupuncture on Old Sir Jiang previously.

The arguments continued with no conclusion. Finally, Professor Han called Mr. Yang to ask who actually cured Old Sir Jiang.

The phone rang while Mr. Yang was driving, so it was inconvenient for him to answer. Old Sir Jiang, sitting beside him, answered the call. Seeing that the caller ID displayed Professor Han’s name, Old Sir Jiang’s expression instantly darkened.

He felt no goodwill toward the hospital’s doctors, especially Professor Han, who was once his attending physician and had mentioned preparing for the worst earlier that day, further fueling his resentment.

Thus, after answering the call, he coldly asked, "What’s the matter?"

"Mr. Yang, it’s like this, I’m Doctor Han from the hospital. I want to know who cured Old Sir Jiang."

"Does that have anything to do with you?" Old Sir Jiang replied unhappily. It was none of their business who cured him.

Upon hearing this, Professor Han immediately realized he wasn’t speaking to Mr. Yang. He chuckled and said, "Are you Old Sir Jiang?"

"Yes!" Old Sir Jiang replied indifferently and then said, "Professor Han, whom I was cured by is none of your concern, and besides, she is not a doctor, nor did she study medicine formally." 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

This was something Old Sir Jiang had heard earlier at Jiang Xue’s home, where he had suggested Jiang Xue should work at the hospital, believing her medical skills could easily surpass those so-called doctors.

It was then that Jiang Xue had apologized to him, saying her medical skills were self-taught and that she had neither apprenticed nor obtained certification.

Without a medical license, she couldn’t legally practice medicine. If someone reported Jiang Xue, no matter her capability, she would end up in jail.

"What, how can this be?" Professor Han had assumed the one who cured Old Sir Jiang was a hidden expert in the medical world but didn’t expect this outcome.

"Indeed, so there’s no need for you to look for her." With those words, Old Jiang hung up the phone.

"Was it Professor Han calling?" Mr. Yang asked, smiling as Old Sir Jiang ended the call. Had he answered, he might have revealed who it was.

Fortunately, it was Old Sir Jiang who answered. Otherwise, Jiang Xue might face trouble in the future.

"Yes!" Old Sir Jiang replied quietly, without saying anything further. At that moment, Luo Feng spoke up and asked, "Mr. Yang, can you give us a lift home?"

Mr. Yang was taken aback, suddenly remembering that Luo Feng and his daughter were also in the car. Truly, his feelings towards Luo Feng and his daughter were mixed with appreciation and resentment. He was grateful they brought Jiang Xue and saved Old Sir Jiang’s life, but resented them for almost costing him his life.

Although the outcome was good, he couldn’t quite like the two. When Luo Feng requested a ride home, he initially planned to refuse.

However, upon reconsidering, he thought it was just a short distance, and driving them home wouldn’t take much time.

So, after asking for their address, Mr. Yang turned the car around and took them home. Upon arrival, Luo Feng thanked Mr. Yang and Old Sir Jiang and expressed his apologies before letting them leave.
