Rebirth: My Reclusive Husband Helps Me Get Revenge!-Chapter 50: We will target her mother
Yu Jia didn’t answer right away, her eyes scanning the floor. Despite the uneasy tension between her and her mother, she knew Qin Sayou was right about one thing—they couldn’t afford to let Lixue slip out of their grasp.
The lyrics they had been extorting from her were HER lifeline, and now, with time running out, they had to come up with a plan.
Yu Jia gritted her teeth, her hands tightening into fists. How dare Lixue refuse to write for her? After all they had done for her, she should be grateful. Yu Jia had been the one pushing Lixue’s work in front of the right people, making sure her name was seen. Now, she was turning her back on them? No, 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Yu Jia would make sure that didn’t happen. Lixue had no choice but to help her, and she was going to make sure of it.
"She can’t ignore me forever," Yu Jia muttered under her breath, a malicious glint in her eyes. "She needs to write for us again. I’ll make sure of it."
Qin Sayou looked at her daughter, her expression one of cold calculation. "You know what needs to be done," she said flatly. "We may need to push harder this time, but the songs will come. She won’t get away."
Yu Jia nodded, already hatching plans in her mind. She would find a way to make Lixue cave in.
Yu Jia gritted her teeth, frustration bubbling inside her. How dare Lixue refuse to write for me? Lixue should be grateful—she owed everything to Yu Jia. Without the opportunity Yu Jia had given her, Lixue’s songs wouldn’t have seen the light of day. Lixue wasn’t famous, and she wasn’t going to get anywhere without someone pushing her—someone like Yu Jia or whatever she thought to brainwash herself.
Now, with her marriage to Mo Ran, Yu Jia feared that Lixue might think she could escape their arrangement. But Yu Jia wasn’t about to let her off the hook so easily. Lixue still had so much to offer, and Yu Jia wasn’t about to lose her golden ticket. {Author doesn’t mind getting one or two too ^^}
She thinks she can walk away? Yu Jia thought, a sneer forming on her lips. I made her. She’ll write for me. She has no choice.
Yu Jia’s thoughts were consumed with finding a way to get Lixue to hand over more lyrics. There had to be a way to force her hand before the last of the songs ran out.
Yu Jia’s eyes darkened as her thoughts turned more devious. The pressure was mounting. She couldn’t afford to let Lixue slip through her fingers, not now when everything she had worked for depended on those lyrics. But now that Lixue was married to Mo Ran, she had become more distant, harder to manipulate. Yu Jia had already exhausted her usual tactics, and Lixue was becoming less compliant.
Her fingers tapped impatiently against the armrest of the chair. There was only one thing to do now—force her hand. She turned to her mother, her mind working at full speed.
"We don’t need to keep trying to charm her. We’ll make her come to us," Yu Jia said, her voice steady but laced with desperation. "We’ll target her mother."
Qin Sayou’s eyes narrowed, a calculating smile forming on her lips. "Her mother? Hmm what are you thinking?"
Yu Jia’s gaze grew cold, a malicious gleam in her eyes. "Lixue’s mother is the key. If we take her, Lixue will have no choice but to give us the lyrics we need. If she refuses... we’ll make sure she knows the consequences. We’ll make her see we can take everything from her."
Qin Sayou thought for a moment, considering the idea. She knew that Lixue was deeply connected to her mother. Taking Lixue’s mother would create the leverage they needed, and they could demand the lyrics as ransom.
A wicked smile tugged at the corners of Qin Sayou’s lips. "You’re right. If we threaten her mother, Lixue will do anything to protect her. We’ll demand the lyrics before we let her go. And if she doesn’t comply... we’ll make her mother pay."
Yu Jia’s heart raced at the thought. This was risky, but it would work. Lixue wouldn’t be able to turn them down when her mother’s life was at stake.
"We’ll need to move fast," Yu Jia added, her voice hard with resolve. "We’ll have to be discreet, make sure no one finds out before we get what we need."
Qin Sayou nodded approvingly, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "We’ll make this work. Once we have the lyrics, we’ll release her mother and make sure there’s no trace left. No one will suspect a thing."
Yu Jia felt a surge of dark satisfaction. She had found a way to corner Lixue, to force her to comply. There was no turning back now. "We’ll get everything we need, and once we have the lyrics, Lixue will be at our mercy."
Qin Sayou’s smile widened, and she leaned back in her chair, already plotting their next moves. "It’s time to show Lixue just how much power we hold over her. She’s ours to control."
Yu Jia stood up, her expression filled with determination. "Let’s get started. We have no time to waste."
The plan was set. They would target Lixue’s mother, kidnap her, and use her as leverage to force Lixue to provide them with more lyrics. It was a dangerous, malicious move, but it was their only option now. And Yu Jia was ready to make Lixue pay the price for resisting them.
"Her mother is down with Alzheimer, this will make Lixue even more worried. That green tea bitch, I was supposed to marry Yu Zhiyong, how dare she come and try to take my place, getting Alzheimer wouldn’t be the last thing I did to her, I’ll make sure her daughter suffered as well!"
Yu Jia felt chills when she heard this, this was her mother standing next to her but right now she left like the completely different person.
