Chapter 392 - "Let me go if you want to save her!" (1)
“Something’s the matter?”
His magnetic voice seemed to ease her physical pain. Liang AnQi looked up at Jiang DeXian. He looked so tender in the dimly-lit garage and so focused like she was his entire world.
Liang AnQi’s heart throbbed in her chest. She reached for his hand but failed.
Biting down on her lower lip, an idea crossed her mind suddenly, “I’m your wife from future.”
He knew he needed to keep her around but he just couldn’t stand a lie like that.
“I don’t think I have such awful taste.”
Liang AnQi didn’t think that he would be so blunt. Her face started to burn. Recalling the story arc that she had read, she sounded confident when she spoke again.
“Give me some time to talk in private. I can tell you some events that will take place in the future.”
Jiang DeXian’s eyes darkened and he became agitated. Was she rebirthed as well? Would she affect Fang JunRong in any way?
Looking at her deeply, his tone could not be read. “What do you know?”
Liang AnQi said to him, “Fang JunRong does not deserve your love. In addition to you, she has a few other men on the side. She is not good enough for you.
“She will break your heart in the future and you will leave the country and meet me.” She stuttered a little at first but then became more articulated as time went on.
She had, after all, written this in the past before. She liked the character Jiang DeXian so much in the past that she had written fanfiction about him. Naturally, she was the female lead of the fanfiction.
That alone let Jiang DeXian know that she was not rebirthed.
“Who are these other men?” he asked.
If what she said was true. It wouldn’t hurt to find out who they were. Keep your friends close; keep your enemies closer.
Liang AnQi was stunned. She didn’t think that that was what Jiang DeXian cared about the most.
She gritted her teeth and said, “Someone from your original gang will betray you later on and start their own business.”
Jiang DeXian, “Who are the other men?” He knew about that already. Which was why he never let that person join his team and nipped the threat in the bud.
Liang AnQi said angrily, “And the boss of another entertainment company wanted you to take over his daughter. She was already pregnant at the time.”
Jiang DeXian, “Who are the other men?” It was almost like that was all he could say.
Liang AnQi, who used “I am your wife from the future” to keep him, was frantic. Jiang DeXian, who had been a handsome one in her eyes before, now began looking more annoying. Was Fang JunRong all that he could think about? Wasn’t his career more important than Fang JunRong?
“Are you a machine that only repeats what others say?”
Jiang DeXian smiled a little. Liang AnQi, who was infuriated just a little while ago, was lovestruck from his smile and most of her anger was gone.
“If you don’t even know that, I am guessing that what you have just said were all lies.”
He was goading her alright but that was sufficient when it came to Liang AnQi. A girl her age couldn’t resist something like that. She started rambling after just a little prodding. “Says who?!”
She gave him a list of names along with a lot of subjective opinions, and thoroughly embellished Fang JunRong’s relationships with these individuals.
Jiang DeXian made mental notes of those names before he opened up the car door and said to her nonchalantly, “Get in.”
Liang AnQi was taken aback a little then, her heart was flooded with ecstasy. Did that mean he believed in her? And he was going to take her back to his place?
Had she known it would have been so easy, she should have gone this route from the very beginning. She should not have let it dragged on for so long.
Liang AnQi provided a lot of information on their way in order to bring the two of them closer. Occasionally, she would describe the romance between the two of them with a very sweet look on her. She had failed to notice that Jiang DeXian had gotten a lot of information out of her.
