Below a Level 6 Civilization, the first clash between the two most powerful existences thus came to an end. The final outcome was that the planetary war star ultimately broke through layers of obstruction and successfully rescued the Asia’s spaceship formation. In this process, the planetary war star’s invincible might was displayed to the fullest.

One must know that in the attempt to block the planetary war star from rescuing the Asia, the Level 5 Civilization Alliance dispatched nearly eighty million ships and one planetary war star. Yet the final result was that the planetary war star was completely destroyed, the planet was blasted into fragments, and the eighty million ships not only failed to stop the Earth from saving the Asia, they were instead counterattacked by the Earth united with the Asia’s formation, losing roughly ten million ships.

At the center of the Death Flower Star System, inside the colossal Galloping Pegasus spaceship, the leader had been watching the projected image with a cold gaze, watching the Earth finally break through to the Asia’s side, watching the Asia and the Earth ultimately link up, watching the Earth withdraw unscathed despite the siege of tens of millions of ships.

Unconsciously, his hands clenched tight. His eyes shifted from cold to blazing, hotter and hotter, until they seemed about to spit fire.

“Have I still failed? The trap I laid at the cost of several million ships and the deaths of several hundred million soldiers still failed? I accounted for every point. Every tiny detail I considered and made proper arrangements. But why, why is their planetary war star so powerful? Why is it this powerful?” he murmured.

Long beforehand the leader had considered that once the Asia was besieged, that planetary war star would come to the rescue, and he did make proper arrangements. The force of as many as eighty million ships was what he prepared. But he could never have imagined that even the siege of eighty million ships would only force the Earth to be unable to advance to a position close enough to use the stellar cannon to destroy the star; if the Earth wished to withdraw, they had no ability to stop it.

The leader stared blankly at the projection. After the Earth’s figure finally vanished, the flames in his eyes died down.

“But it does not matter. I cannot eliminate you, and your Divine Ark Civilization cannot eliminate us. Your civilization’s development potential has already been exhausted. Before you obtain new technological supplementation, you cannot make major progress. Our Level 5 Civilization Alliance is different. At this moment we are in a period of great technological development, with technology advancing rapidly. We need only a mere two hundred years to reach your current technological level. When that happens, I will see what your Divine Ark Civilization has to counter us.” The leader mused calmly. “Two hundred years. Do you have the ability to break our defenses, shatter our cohesion, and dissolve our alliance within two hundred years?”

“Divine Ark Civilization, for these two hundred years, I will allow you to run rampant for a while. Two hundred years later, we will truly cross blades again.” Staring at the place where the Earth disappeared, the leader’s gaze turned distant.

At this moment, although Xiao Yu had followed the Earth out of the trap the Level 5 Civilization Alliance had set for him, his mood was not uplifted. Instead, it was somewhat heavy.

“The combat power of the Level 5 Civilization Alliance exceeds our imagination.” Xiao Yu said gravely to those present. “Our previous assessment was wrong. We do not have five hundred years. At most, we have only two hundred years.”

This was a simple truth. Based on his understanding of the Alliance’s technological level, Xiao Yu could roughly estimate their rate of technological development. By that calculation, he had previously concluded that the Alliance would need roughly five hundred years to fully match him.

But the intelligence Xiao Yu had obtained at that time was wrong, a deliberate misdirection by the Alliance. In reality, the Level 5 Civilization Alliance had concealed twenty percent of their ships’ combat capability. This meant the Alliance’s technological level was higher than Xiao Yu had imagined, and their technological progress faster than he had imagined.

Therefore, the time for them to catch up to Xiao Yu’s pace and gain the ability to fully contend with him shortened correspondingly, from five hundred years down to two hundred years.

This was not good news. It meant Xiao Yu’s time was even tighter, and in the war with the Level 5 Civilization Alliance, his odds of victory once again dropped.

“In this first campaign, we lost roughly one million ships, and destroyed roughly ten million enemy ships, as well as one planetary war star. Having these results does not mean our ship-to-ship combat power ratio has reached ten to one. Such results were entirely due to the overwhelming strength of the planetary war star the Earth. But we do not have more time to build more of this kind of planetary war star. Building a planetary war star like the Earth requires at minimum three hundred years. And most importantly, a planetary war star consumes too much of my computational power. A single planetary war star will occupy at least one fifth of my computational capacity. Right now I truly have no way to spare another fifth of my computational power to control another planetary war star.”

This was a very helpless situation. Perhaps the operation of the planetary war star could be handed over to intelligent beings to save his computational power, but Xiao Yu had only two hundred years, and two hundred years was not enough to build a planetary war star.

“I think we should continue according to the original plan.” Luka Two said. “In a few years, we can relocate at least nine planets here. These nine planets can supply us with massive resources. We can fully launch large-scale construction, and rely on a continuous stream of newly built ships to wear down the strength of the Level 5 Civilization Alliance.”

“But this plan has a fatal flaw.” Xiao Yu said. “Although we can ease the load on my computational power substantially by building Supercomputing Centers to support the large-scale construction, there is one point I worry about. We are not confident we can, within two hundred years, wear down the Alliance’s strength to a certain degree by this method.”

“Given the current situation, however, this is the only course of action we can take.” Luka Two answered helplessly.

Xiao Yu fell silent again. The situation was indeed as Luka Two said. Under these circumstances, there was no better option.

“Here is what we will do.” Xiao Yu sighed softly and said, “While we carry out this operation, I will join with the scientists of the Central Research Academy of Science to search for a way to destroy a star from ultra-long range without relying on the stellar cannon. If we can destroy stars, we will gain a great advantage.”

Just then, Xiao Yu received a report. He glanced over it and could not help but sigh again.

The report came from the Stellar Research Institute under the Central Research Academy of Science. Per Xiao Yu’s instructions, they had been studying how to destroy a star by means of planetary impact. Now the study had produced results.

“With our current technology, we can only relocate planets. A star’s mass is too great, and its environment is harsh with no fixed surface. The conditions are more complex, so there is no way to relocate a star. Previously we focused on the feasibility study of destroying a star by planetary impact. Now the results are out.”

“The conclusion is that this is not feasible.” Xiao Yu manipulated his virtual projection and shrugged helplessly.

“Compared to a star, a planet is still too small.” Xiao Yu said. “A planetary impact would indeed have a very serious effect on a star, causing atmospheric cavities, mass ejection, and could even push a star prematurely into a senescent stage. Unfortunately, a planetary impact cannot destroy a star. And the effects of a planetary impact on a star remain within what a Level 5 Civilization can bear. In other words, even if the star becomes unstable and enters senescence due to the planetary impact, it still cannot inflict meaningful damage on a Level 5 Civilization.”

“Unless we bring over thousands of planets to ram this star continuously, we might be able to destroy it. But obviously, we do not have that much time to prepare such a thing.” Xiao Yu said.

Relocating thousands of planets was a project far too vast. Even with Xiao Yu’s capability for action, without a millennium or more, it would be absolutely impossible to complete.

“If planetary impact cannot achieve the goal, then what about stellar impact?” a scientist said thoughtfully. “We already have the ability to put planets into curvature flight, so why not begin research on putting a star into curvature flight? If we possessed this technology, we could relocate a star. We would not even need to manipulate this star to ram the star in the Death Flower Star System. We would only need to detonate it when it approached the Level 5 Civilization Alliance’s fleet to a certain distance. The immense energy released by a stellar explosion would help us accomplish the task of destroying the Alliance.”

“We have been conducting research in that area for a long time already.” Xiao Yu replied. “But unfortunately, when studying the technology to put a star into curvature flight, we encountered unimaginable resistance. This matter is very complex and very difficult. In the short term, we have no way to make a breakthrough.”
