Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Finally Reunited

"Meimei, Chuxi," they heard their names called, and all heads turned to the source, which was obviously Xin Yan.

Xin Yan said nothing as she continued to stare at them, but her eyes revealed the various emotions she was attempting to conceal, which was difficult.

The kids kept staring at her until they exclaimed, ’Mom!’

As she hurriedly walked down the stairs, Xin Yan let out tears. She could not wait any longer; her children had been with her throughout. Her children were finally with her; in fact, they had been with her for a long time, but she was the one who did not notice.

"They are our children," Xin Yan cried as she approached them.

She chuckled as she held their shoulders and looked at them both. Her babies were finally with her.

"I love you two so much," she cried as she drew them into a tight hug, unwilling to let them go.

After the hugs and tears, Xin Yan sat on the couch and called her grandparents. She would prefer not to visit them because she would be planning a family vacation.

According to Xin Yan, it was long overdue. They needed it, and it helped to strengthen family bonds.

When she revealed the truth to her grandparents, they were stunned and asked to see them right away. They needed to find out the truth.

Xin Yan exhaled as she hung up the phone. She wanted to ignore her grandmother, but she decided not to.

She looked at Zheng, who was still sitting. Li Qiang had not yet let him go, so he could only wait, and he felt as if he was sitting on pins and needles, under pressure.

"You have to reveal your brother’s identity; I want to know who he is," Xin Yan asked calmly, arms folded, as the kids surrounded her and stared at him.

They were also curious about why his brother separated them from their parents and why they were so cruel.

Zheng could only say, "You will not be able to recognize my brother; just know that he is someone very close to you."

He wanted to tell the truth about his brother and reveal his brother’s identity, but he ultimately bailed out.

Regardless, he was still his brother, and he had been looking after him since he was young.

"Is that the case?" Xin Yan inquired as her brow furrowed; she tried to think of who they might have offended, but none came to mind because they never offended anyone.

"And one last thing, I have no idea why my brother is doing this; he never told him about his plans, and the only thing I did for him was take care of your children," Zheng thought it was nice that he informed them.

Xin Yan acknowledged with a nod. She actually felt thankful. Her children were reunited with her, her memories were complete, and she was able to meet the one she truly loved.

"Thank you so much for taking care of my children and instilling them with good morals," Xin Yan stood up and bowed to him.

"There is no need to thank me; they are adorable kids, and I am glad I got to spend some time with them," Zheng said immediately.

"Kids, you have found your parents, and I could not be happier; I am glad I was with you in your early years, but unfortunately, this is where my journey with you ends," Zheng smiled at them, but behind that smile was pain and regret.

The twins’ eyes had already welled up with tears. They appeared to understand what he was about to say next, and while they did not want him to do so, they could not prevent him from getting what he desired.

"You are leaving, are you not?" Meimei inquired as she sniffed. She looked up at him and tried to smile, but it looked worse than crying. She was the closest to him, so his departure will be very painful for her.

"Meimei has always been smart, and she will remain smart," Zheng smiled while he choked slightly. He could not bear to leave the girls, but it was paramount he did.

"You make sure you return and see us or else," Li Chuxi threatened, but she only looked cute as she pointed with tears in her eyes.

"I promise to return," he let out a chuckle as he reassured her.

"Then you better keep your promise," she tried to put up a brave front, but it was futile as her cheeks were covered in tears.

"I will be leaving now," he said, and Li Qiang nodded.

He already understood what he wanted to do, and he was proud of the step the young boy was about to take.

"Do take care of yourself and if you encounter any issues, do not hesitate to reach out to us, you have helped us a lot, it is only right we return the favor," Xin Yan urged him as they approached the gate of the mansion.

He nodded before entering into his car and zoomed off. The kids finally let down the tears that they were holding back as they cried silly.

Their parents could only console them as they knew how close he was to them.

"He will return," Xin Yan said with a look of conviction as she rubbed the hair of Li Chuxi who was still bawling her eyes out.

Afterward, they freshened up for the day, that had breakfast and of course, Li Qiang informed Aunt Guo who was beyond shocked when she found out.

Presently, Xin Yan and Li Qiang were in the study room as they were deliberating on several options. They needed to find the person who wanted them dead.

As Xin Yan sat quietly on the sofa while Li Qiang busied himself with some office work, she began to think to herself.

She thought about many things, and she could only sigh internally.

She then thought to herself, maybe this was the reason the heavens gave her another chance. Not only that, but she had to right her wrongs, the evil she did in the past.

Now, she realized she had been neglecting her revenge plans. She had to make them pay and the first person she would deal with is Jiang Lanfen.

She is going to make her feel the same way she (Xin Yan) felt while she was burnt by the fire.

Li Qiang noticed the glint in her eyes, and he was aware of what was going through her mind, though he was not aware of the details.

"Please, go into your room, I will send Aunt Guo to you both," Li Qiang instructed, and the kids did so obediently. They understood that their parents had something to discuss and they were not meant to listen.

"What do you intend to do?" He asked, going straight to the point.

"I am going to start with Jiang Lanfen, she hurt me in my past life, she burnt my skin; therefore, I want her to feel the same way," Xin Yan clenched her fists.

Li Qiang nodded. He knew perfectly what she wanted to do.

"Relax Yanyan, you do not need to do anything, you just need to sit back and watch the show," Li Qiang assured her, and she nodded while she looked out the window, as the sofa was beside the window.

She thought about many things, and she could only sigh. Her thoughts went to her little kids, and she chuckled, she was very delighted.

She then looked towards Li Qiang who was busy with some paperwork, and she smiled once more. She felt at peace, though she was aware she should not feel that way.

They still needed to find who was against their families. The car accident of that year needed to be investigated.

"I have something to ask," Li Qiang spoke up, and she raised her head up from the papers she was studying as she wondered what he wanted to talk about.

The papers contained all of Jiang Zhengzhou’s company’s secret, and she had to study them since she was about to take over from the company.

"What do you want to ask?" She inquired, closing the book as she thought it would be an important matter.

"What about the supermarket your team are responsible for? Have you completed it? Do you need my help?" Li Qiang asked, and she sighed, she could notice his hands were shivering.

"Thank you for reminding me, it has been completed, I just need to check it out and make sure they used standard materials," Xin Yan said with a smile.

She was going to ask her brother to put the supermart under her kids’ names.

This was the first project she took over after she had been reborn.

"You do not need any help? Have you concluded all you need to do?" He asked, he wanted to help her out, one way or the other.
