Chapter 184: Chapter 184: Delivering The Invitation Letters
Song Recommendation: My World By Illit!
Xin Yan and Li Qiang spent half of the time discussing the situation with Lu Wei, and the other half was used in watching the movie.
After the movie ended, the couple waited for the people to leave, before deciding to leave.
"Will you call him?" Xin Yan asked as they stepped out of the cinema, as they did away with their disguise.
"I should, he should probably be in Beijing, I should introduce you both to each other," Li Qiang replied, finding her suggestion pleasing to the ear.
"That’s nice, what else do we have for today?" Xin Yan asked as she looked up to the sky which had darkened considerably.
"Let’s go home, there is nothing to do anymore," Li Qiang stated. It looked like it was about to rain.
"Alright," Xin Yan smiled.
The couple finally arrived home, and they were surprised to find Wu Tang’s mansion lighted up. Ever since the trial, they had not seen him around. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
They both exchanged glances when they saw him and Tang Mei approaching them.
"Can we come in?" Wu Tang asked with a smile.
Xin Yan wanted to reject it, but Li Qiang was quick to open the gate for them.
"Please, come in," Li Qiang happily asked them to come in.
Xin Yan looked at Li Qiang, wondering what he was planning to do. Nevertheless, she did not bother to ask him. He must have his plans, so she was not going to interfere with what he was planning.
Tang Mei and Wu Tang had conflicting emotions, and they did not bother to hide what they felt.
They could only awkwardly walk into the mansion, each with the same thought in their mind, ’what was Li Qiang planning?’
Regardless, they could only push their questions to the back of their minds.
Li Qiang led them into the mansion, and his actions completely baffled the three.
"Please, have a seat, what brings you to my abode?" He asked as though they were close.
Wu Tang could not take it anymore; thus, he spewed out, "Li Qiang, you had better stop with these actions of yours, why are you acting as though we are close?"
The smile which was on Li Qiang’s suddenly faded as he stared down at Wu Tang who for no reason felt nervous.
"I thought we were pretending to be close to one another," Li Qiang had a confused look on his face as he stared at both Wu Tang and Tang Mei who were perplexed at his words.
Xin Yan stifled a laugh. She understood what he was trying to do, and she found it funny.
"Why are you both here?" Xin Yan asked.
Tang Mei breathed in. She would rather not do this, but Shi Liran had forced her to do so.
"We came to invite you to our wedding," Tang Mei forced out the words.
"Why did you come personally? You could have just sent the invite through a courier," Xin Yan remarked.
"Do you think I want to be here? My mother forced us to send it to you personally, I don’t know what she stands to gain with this plan of hers," Tang Mei replied with a roll of her eyes.
Xin Yan nodded with understanding, she understood what Shi Liran was trying to do. It was Shi Liran telling Tang Mei that her reality was going to be with Wu Tang.
But then again, Xin Yan doubted that Tang Mei and Wu Tang would give up. Wu Tang had already made it clear in their last conversation, he would stop at nothing until he destroyed Li Qiang.
All of a sudden, a thought flashed through Xin Yan’s mind, with her eyes fixated on Wu Tang. She just thought about it, Wu Tang aimed to destroy Li Qiang, and he spared no effort in showing it, but he was partnering up with Tang Mei.
It made no sense to her. Why would Tang Mei partners with someone who aimed to destroy the one she loved? Unless, Wu Tang had lied to her about what he was truly going to do.
Xin Yan’s eyes sparkled as she let the piece of information sink into her brain. She finally gained understanding of what Wu Tang was planning to do, but she was not going to inform Tang Mei. It was up to her to figure it out.
But she made a mental note to tell Li Qiang about her conclusion.
"Yan, what is wrong? You spaced out for a while," Xin Yan suddenly felt a light touch on her shoulder from Li Qiang which caused her to jolt.
"Hm? What did you say?" Xin Yan asked as she did not hear what he had asked.
"I asked what’s wrong? You spaced out for quite a while, which got me worried," Li Qiang asked, not bothering to hide the worry he had for her, much harming the two enemies seated.
Wu Tang and Tang Mei felt as though their faces were being slapped with reality, but they were not willing to face reality, both living in the worlds of delusion crafted by themselves.
"I am fine, I just thought of something," Xin Yan replied simply.
"Can we have the invitation card? We will be sure to grace your wedding, and of course, we are wishing you a prosperous married life, we hope you get to understand each other," Xin Yan blessed them, her every word holding a degree of elegance, and a degree of firmness.
Tang Mei forced out a smile, while her heart burned. She aimed to wipe off the smile off the face of Xin Yan, and the only way she could do that was to take what she cherished the most, Li Qiang.
Wu Tang felt the increasing rage from Tang Mei, and he stepped in to smoothen the issue, fearing that Tang Mei might say what she was not meant to say. There was not much to do anyway.
"Here you go," Wu Tang immediately handed the cards to Xin Yan who happily received it.
