"Wait, were you worried about me?" Wu Tang asked, as he gave her a meaningful smile.

Tang Mei cleared her throat awkwardly.

"Who said I was worried about you? I was only worried about my son, Tang Ni, you can come in," Tang Mei was quick to take her face away from Wu Tang as she pulled Tang Ni to herself.

Wu Tang chuckled while watching her walk away. He found it funny because it was obvious Tang Mei was trying to deny that she was not worried about him.

Wu Tang shook his head before he followed into the mansion.

"Where have you been? You have no idea how worried I was, I called your school, but they did not give me a proper response, you made me so worried," once Wu Tang walked in, he noticed that Tang Mei was questioning Tang Ni.

"You have no reason to be worried, Mom, dad and I decided to spend some quality time with each other," Tang Ni lied.

Wu Tang and Tang Ni had agreed to tell this to Tang Mei. They could not allow her to find out that he was kidnapped, or she would be more worried.

"I prepared dinner myself, would you have dumplings?" Tang Mei smiled.

"Today, you will have your DNA test results done, you will find out if your father is actually your father, as for me, the illegitimate child of the Lu Family, I would be appointed as the acting CEO, I know that as from today, our lives would not be as peaceful as we hoped it would be."

Lu Wei explained to her, and she listened quietly. The only sound which could be heard was the sound of their breathing.

Gu Shishi held the phone to her chest as her face bloomed with a smile.

She sighed, before replying that she was on her way.

Gu Shishi, who was not used to the intimate gestures took a step back, before nodding.

Gu Fen, who was always sensitive, noticed it, and her mood turned sour, although she did not allow anyone to notice.

"Shall we leave?" She asked with a smile, and they nodded. The ’they’ included Gu Shishi, and her father, Gu Guan.

"Give us good news when you return, goodbye," Grandma Gu waved, to which Gu Shishi waved in return.

"I hope everything comes out positive," Grandma Gu prayed as she clasped her palms together.

The three finally arrived at the hospital, and Gu Shishi looked around. This was an attempt to ease herself from the fear she felt within her.

"Good, the doctor awaits your presence, please, follow me," the nurse was friendly as she directed them to the doctor’s office.
