"Is Xin Yan aware of this?" Tang Mo inquired.

"She isn’t, but there is no denying that she would find out eventually, I only hope she won’t be mad I kept it away from her," Li Qiang replied.

"You know what, I am actually very pleased that all the troubles are coming to an end, and I would also be needing yours and your wife’s help in proposing to Zhou Mian," Towards the end, Tang Mo sounded shy.

"You finally decided that it was time to propose to her, I thought it would take a lot of time," Li Qiang teased.

"I know I was taking my time, but I feel this is the right time to propose, no issues anymore, we do not need to be on our guards, then I can peacefully ask her to marry me," Tang Mo had a serene smile on his face as he envisioned the day.

Li Qiang, on the other hand, chuckled at his actions. But he could not blame him. Love could make someone act differently.

Thanks to Tang Mo, Li Qiang realized that he never proposed to Xin Yan as they had an arranged marriage.

"I just realized that I never proposed to Xin Yan before we got married, I don’t know how she feels about it," Li Qiang’s voice sounded nasally, and it felt like he was holding back his tears.

"Come on man, I believe Xin Yan is not bothered about all that, all that matters is that you love her, and she loves you, I believe she thinks proposals are not essential as long as she has you by her side," Tang Mo stated, which was the truth, though.

"Do you think so?" Li Qiang asked. For him, he felt that all girls needed to go through the process of being proposed to.

It was what would make their marriage complete.

"I know so, Xin Yan is not someone who cares so much about this, but you can try to find out from her, it is crucial to know what she thinks about it," Tang Mo advised.

"You give the best advice," Li Qiang complimented, thanking him in the process.

"You do not need to mention, it is what I am meant to do, alright, I have to go now, I have numerous files to attend to," Tang Mo chuckled, before they disconnected the call.

"I should call Wu Tang, he is not aware of the hearing which will be held tomorrow, he is a key witness," Li Qiang murmured to himself.

"Why are you here?" Wu Tang asked as he watched the lady who was in his office.

"Why do you ask? Can’t I visit you? I am your wife, aren’t I?" It turns out it was Tang Mei who had decided to visit Wu Tang.

"I know you are my wife, it is just surprising that you are here, I know you understand what I’m trying to say," Wu Tang replied as he watched her take a seat.

"Forget it, you think too much into it, I just decided to visit you, and also, I figured out that you would be hungry, so I decided to make you a meal, I hope you will enjoy it," Tang Mei finally said the real reason for her presence.

Wu Tang stared skeptically at the box which she placed on the table, before directing his gaze towards her.

"Why do you keep staring at me that way? Do I have something on my face?" She asked, while running her fingers through her face to see if she would find dirt on it.

"You don’t have anything on your face, I just wonder why you are acting so nice to me today, this is entirely different from your usual behavior," Wu Tang answered, still giving her the look of doubt.

Tang Mei chuckled, before she answered, "I expected you to say such a thing, and I would not blame you, but I realized that we are married, and we have a son together, why don’t we make things work, this would be beneficial for us, and our son as well."

Wu Tang listened to her attentively, and he had to admit, what she said was quite true.

Even if they hated each other, or if they liked one another, they needed to cohabitate with each other. This would be the best for Tang Ni, their son.

"What did you cook?" Wu Tang asked. This question was a silent reply to her proposal.

A bright smile appeared on Tang Mei’s face when he asked the question.

She happily served him the dish. It consisted of steamed buns, which was his favorite. There was also pork and shrimp dumplings.

Once Tang Mei opened the lid of the box, the smell of the dishes wafted into the air. This caused Wu Tang to salivate.

"Did you make these dishes yourself?" Wu Tang engaged her in a small conversation. This was to take his mind off the food and its smell.

"Of course, do you think I can’t make meals? I had to learn, remember, I was left alone in the States, so I had to survive, even if I was unable to cook before I left for the States, I had to learn, so, I can cook," Tang Mei replied in between laughs.

Wu Tang watched the way her lips moved against one another, and he was lost staring at her. He only heard the first half of her statement, but the other half, he could not hear because he was lost admiring her.

"Are you listening to me?" Tang Mei stopped talking, and she noticed that Wu Tang was not listening to her. Rather, he was more focused on her.

The snap of Tang Mei’s fingers brought Wu Tang out of his reverie.

He noticed Tang Mei had an angry look on her face, and he was lost on how he must have offended her.

"What is wrong?" He carefully asked.

"Did you listen to what I was saying, or were you busy staring at me?" She furiously asked.
