Chapter 89: Chapter 89: Letter Of Warning

"No, no, this cannot be happening, dad’s company cannot face such a major setback," she shook her head in self-denial.

"What are you talking about?" She suddenly heard Yuan Renshu’s voice from behind and she immediately composed herself.

"It’s nothing, let’s have breakfast," she spoke in a rushed voice before running downstairs.

Yuan Renshu squinted. He had every right to think that she had actually done something, but what she did, he was clueless about it.

He shrugged his shoulders. It was none of his business anyway. He was only investigating how to propose a divorce go her, that way he would be able to be with Shi Bei.

Speaking of Shi Bei, the lady was currently seated in front of someone as she looked petrified and terrified. She could only hold her breath while staring at the person who struck fear into her heart.

"The job was for him to fall in love with you, not for you to sleep and lose your virginity to him," the person thundered and she swallowed.

"I am sorry Master, it was unintentional," she apologized immediately.

"Unintentional? Once would have been unintentional, but doing it twice makes me think otherwise," the master sneered immediately causing an awkward look to appear on Shi Bei’s face.

"Master Xuan, you were the one who clearly said I should make him fall in love with me, you did not give the methods I could use, and I used mine, I do not see any reason for complaints," Shi Bei seemed to have found her voice as she spoke back causing her master to raise his eyebrows, completely surprised that she could speak back to him.

"You have seriously grown wings, guards, take her to the dungeon and give her such a punishment which will make her doubt her life, she should also be able to know who the master is around here," Master Xuan gave his order, and it caused Shi Bei to feel surprised.

"Master, you cannot do this to me, I have served you for a very long time, will you punish me just because of my little mistake?" Shi Bei cried.

She would rather not be punished. The last time she was punished was when she was first brought under his wings.

His punishments were terrifying and the guards were even more fearful than the punishment itself. She would rather not experience such a thing again.

She didn’t want the experience of being stripped in front of men just to be whipped. Furthermore, she did not want to experience being stared at by horny men again.

Just thinking about it gave her the creeps. She didn’t want to go through such trauma again.

"Master, I will listen to you from now on," she pleaded.

She truly did not want to experience such a thing.

Master Xuan stopped his men as he looked at the tears in her eyes.

"Are you sure you will do what I asked you to do?" Master Xuan had a manipulative look on his face but Shi Bei was too scared to even noticed.

"Yes, anything which you ask for, I just don’t want to face the punishment," she pleaded, and he nodded, pleased with her subservient nature.

"It is fine, I understand that you are smart, and you will make the right decision, I do not have anything for you currently, but once I have a task, I would love for you to fulfill it completely," Master Xuan said calmly, but there was an underlying threat in his voice.

It was now Shi Bei knew she must have been trapped, but there was nothing she could do.

"Yes master," she replied positively, and he nodded with a bright smile, which was something very rare. He never smiled.

"Come on, let’s have a toast to our new cooperation," he gestured for her to take a seat, which she did reluctantly.

Master Xuan smiled seeing her countenance, but he did not say anything, he was in a good mood, a superb mood to be precise.

*Tang’s Household*

The head of the Tang family was seated in the living room as he drank tea leisurely while he read the newspaper.

One of the maids suddenly brought a letter to him, and he frowned, feeling confused to receiving a letter.

He did not think too much of it, but he could not help but have an ominous feeling when he noticed the seal which was on the letter. It was the seal used to identify the Li’s.

He could only open the letter and once he read the contents of the letter, he was raving mad.

He did not think of anything else before he walked up to his daughter’s room.

"Tang Mei, Tang Mei, open up this door," he fiercely banged on the door as his veins bulged out angrily.

"Dad, what is wrong?" She asked as soon as she opened the door. She wondered what was wrong with her dad.

"Tell me, what have you done?" He tried to rein in his anger as he questioned her.

"What have I done?" She asked with a confused look. She had no idea what he was talking about.

Or perhaps she did. She just decided to play dumb.

"You think playing dumb will cause me not to question you? What the hell is this?" He threw the letter at her, not caring whether she lost her temper or not because he was even more angry.

Tang Mei looked at her father’s angry expression, and she picked up the letter. Seeing him like that made her feel he could end her if she were not careful.

After picking and reading the contents of the letter, she took a step back in fear. Her father’s anger was justified.

"I can explain dad," she immediately said.

"Explain what? What do you want to explain?" He questioned with folded arms.

Their noise had already attracted Tang Mo who walked out of his room in his pajamas only.

"What is wrong, dad?" He questioned while rubbing his eyes sleepily.

"Your sister is ready to end our family with her stupidity," he replied while he paced about the corridor anxiously.

"What have you done now, Tang Mei?" Tang Mo questioned with a tired sigh. He was fed up with his sister already, and it seemed the more they tried to correct her, the worse she became.
