Rebirth: The Heiress Plans Her Revenge-Chapter 99: Zheng Leaves His Brother
Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Zheng Leaves His Brother
"Why did you send the kids to their parents?" Zheng was standing in front of a cloaked man as he was questioned.
Zheng only stared at the man, not willing to reply to him.
"I asked a question, why don’t you respond?" The cloaked man barked, and that was when he had a reaction.
"I do not see anything wrong in me sending the kids back to their parents, hell, I don’t see anything in your crazy thirst for revenge, you know what? I’m done, I would rather not continue with this."
Zheng sneered at the man who had a surprised look on his face, though it was not visible, but Zheng could tell, after all, he had spent his entire life with him.
"Are you speaking to me in such a manner? Please keep in mind I was the one trained you, you have no right to back on me right now," the man spoke in an eerie tone, but Zheng was not fazed.
He was done. He was done helping him with his evil deeds. Likewise, he could not continue with it again.
"I regret meeting with you, I regret that you brought me up and my utmost regret is that I am your brother," Zheng spoke up as he stared straight into the eyes of the cloaked man.
"And for your information, the couple are on the path of regaining their memories, that is if they have not regained it, I wish you good luck brother," Zheng informed him before walking out of the room, slamming the door with a loud bang.
"No!" The cloaked man stood up in fury.
"This cannot be happening, this cannot be happening," he continually repeated as he held his head.
"Darn it!" He cursed as he swept off the entire contents on the table.
He was raging. Furthermore, he could not understand as to why his brother could not even support him. There was a reason he was doing this, and he only hoped for his support but now, his brother despised him.
"Forget it, I don’t need his help, I can do it all by myself, and you would come rushing back to me to take you in," the cloaked man muttered with a nod of his head.
Zheng, on the other hand, had walked out of the building as he sighed.
He could not continue helping his brother do his dirty deeds.
He recalled when he was asked to take the babies after the accident. He did not want to do it but when the babies smiled at him widely, not caring about the chaos of the world they were in, he was unable to hold himself back.
He could still recall that day like it was just yesterday. He had just completed school, and he was called by his brother to a scene.
When he got there, he was surprised to see the chaos surrounding the environment. An accident had occurred, and he wondered why his brother had sent him there.
He was about leaving, thinking his brother wanted to prank him. That was until he got a text message, three simple words, ’GET THE BABIES!’
It was from his brother and he was stunned. What babies was he talking about?
His questions were answered when he heard a loud cry from the car. He slowly took steps towards the car, and because it was an isolated area, it was easy for him.
He opened the car door, stunned to see two young people, badly injured, they seemed to be a couple. They were bleeding badly and from the outsiders’ perspective, they seemed to be dying.
He did not care about it, he was not a Samaritan anyway.
He continued hearing the loud cries, and he turned his head towards the back seat, and he was surprised to see the babies his brother had asked him to get.
Likewise, he gritted his teeth as he contemplated if he should take the babies.
But it was an order from his brother and he never disobeyed his brother, so he willed himself before picking the two babies.
Thankfully, the babies were protected from the catastrophe which had occurred.
He held the two babies in his two hands and walked away. He turned to look at the badly damaged car, and he wondered whether he should help them or not.
He sighed before placing one of the twins on the floor. He fished out his phone from his pocket and dialed the emergency line.
He informed them about what had happened, and he gave them the address before leaving with the twins.
Having remembered what had happened that year, he sighed. He thought about going to apologize to the couple, but he was scared.
After all, he had done something bad. He had separated parents from their kids.
He breathed out for the umpteenth time before he walked away.
Meanwhile, Xin Yan and Li Qiang had already let go of their emotions, and they were back to normal. They could not continue crying, rather, they had to strategize.
They needed to find their kids.
"But come to think of it, I think the car accident was not an ordinary accident, but rather a conspiracy," Xin Yan aired her opinions and Li Qiang frowned in return.
"That should be correct, but why? Last I recall, we did not make numerous friends there, and we also did not make enemies there, who could have planned against us?" Li Qiang asked as he twirled the pen in his hands.
He had a profound look on his face as he thought hard about it. But he could vividly recall that they did not offend anyone.
"I am so confused, who could have any issues against us?" She questioned with a sigh.
For the first time since she came back to life, she was scared. She had always faced situations head on without any fear but for she felt scared. The fear of the unknown scared her, and she could not help but be jittery.
She only hoped they were able to find out what who was targeting them. But the first thing they had to do was to find their girls.
If only they knew, the girls they were about to look for was just right beside them.
