Rebirth: The unfavored Princess is the Tyrant King's favorite-Chapter 131: Are you here to meet someone else other than me, my wildflower?
"Don’t you think we should go and continue what we were about to start before we were interrupted?"
His voice was low and seductive, and he winked at her.
"No way, you are crazy!" Luciana said and pushed his face that was inches away from hers with her hand.
"I’ve to attend to the cat. Besides, we have yet to see the emperor lighting up the furnace with his fire. You know that is the highlight of tonight’s banquet. What would happen if we were absent during that time?" Luciana asked him, mortified.
’Why was he acting so mischievous today? This wasn’t like him,’ she thought.
’Or could it be that he’s always been like this, but it was she who never noticed?’
Even though Nicholas looked like he was sulking, he could only nod at her.
"Okay, take care of the cat; I’ll be waiting for you in the banquet hall," Nicholas said and kissed her forehead before walking away.
Luciana took a quick glimpse at the huge statue of the dragon deity that was in the center of the palace, and Second Prince David walked out of his hiding spot.
Luciana had noticed the man there for a while now as he watched all her interactions with Nicholas.
She needed to have a serious talk with the second prince. But before that, she must treat the cat; it might not survive if she keeps delaying.
So even though Luciana saw David’s action that signaled her to come to him, she ignored him and walked to the side door, which had a small room where the cat was currently.

Luciana had imprinted the map David had given her in her mind so that she wouldn’t carry it around and risk Nicholas finding out.
When she had finished attending to the cats, she had left the empress dowager’s maids with strict instructions.
"In the next three days, make sure to keep an eye on whatever the cats eat. If anything happens to the cats within the next three days, I’ll make sure the eldest prince tortures you personally."
Luciana walked away after saying those words and watching how they looked visibly pale after her threat.
Every servant knew Nick was the master torturer in the Gloryland palace, second to none.
Even though the storm was over and she had successfully cured both cats, she knew how scheming Noble Consort Margaret was.
She might find a way to cause trouble and make something happen to the cats again.
If something happened to the cats a few days after she had cured them, she would surely be blamed, and she needed to avoid that at all costs.
Luciana knew Second Prince David might be keeping an eye on her and immediately went in the direction of where they were supposed to meet.
She hoped he would follow her soon so that she would have this talk and be done with it before Nicholas noticed her absence.
She had taken a look into the banquet hall, and she saw the people mingling and chatting amongst themselves as they enjoyed the feast.
In her previous life, because she had been sent out of the banquet hall, she didn’t know what happened afterward apart from what happened to the crown prince of Florendel.
She had taken a look at where he sat and saw he was still seated and chatting with the general commander of Florendel.
Luciana didn’t know if things would be different from her previous life, but she had told Amirion not to follow her but had rather instructed him to keep an eye on "her brother."
Even though Amirion was reluctant, he had agreed when she used the excuse of going to the bathroom to free herself.
He had blushed and immediately left her alone.
Luciana couldn’t explain it, but she instinctively trusted Amirion. She believed he was a very reliable guard, and after he saved her life, even Nicholas, who was usually distrustful towards outsiders, agreed to her request when she told him she preferred Amirion to be her guard instead of Dominic.
Luciana walked through the quiet and winding hallways with her heart thumping in her chest. She hoped she was making the right decision and David would stop bugging her after this.
She was fed up with his antics. It was constantly filling her with anxiety, and she couldn’t take it anymore.
Luciana finally reached the large wooden gazebo and looked around her surroundings in worry.
The gazebo was made from wood and was halfway covered. If someone was standing outside, he was going to see only the upper body of the person standing inside the gazebo.
Luciana began to count sheep in her mind; she didn’t want to wait for long since she and David had not discussed any specific time. He had left her chambers in a hurry after thrusting the map into her hands.
’She was just going to wait for five minutes,’ Luciana inwardly decided. If he didn’t appear after five minutes, she would leave.
Luciana hugged herself, feeling cold all of a sudden. She looked down, staring at her feet in anxiety when she felt something warm enveloping her. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
She realized a cloak had been wrapped around her, but when she saw familiar black robes in front of her, her heart began to skip a beat, and her eyes widened when she finally looked up and saw his worried gaze looking down at her.
"Nick?!" She called out in surprise.
’What was Nick doing here? What about David? No, no, this was bad...They needed to get out of there before David arrived.’
"You look like you’ve seen a ghost," Nicholas said, chuckling as if her fearful look amused him, but in the next second something dark flashed past his eyes as if he was realizing something.
Luciana lowered her gaze, feeling afraid that if she continued to stare into his eyes any further, he might uncover all her secrets.
"You left the banquet hall and came so far out here," he spoke as if he was just making small talk, and then he grabbed her chin and lifted her head to stare into her clear eyes that still had a hint of fear in them.
"Are you here to meet someone else other than me, my wildflower?"
