Rebirth: The unfavored Princess is the Tyrant King's favorite-Chapter 64: Changing the course of faith

"One chance...You only have one chance; think carefully before you speak!" King Emric barked, his voice full of authority. At the same time, the soul-binding whip appeared out of thin air and coiled around the woman’s soul.

The soul-binding whip is a whip that inflicts intense pain and torture on its victims. It looks red like a burning rod and makes sizzling sounds like a hot pan on fire being sprinkled with water.

The woman began to scream loudly, her screams resembling that of a banshee.

"I’m just a wandering soul who happened to unknowingly drift in the vast space," she gritted out the words through clenched teeth, with painful groans in between.

"So where is the original soul?" Dragon King Emric asked.

"I...I... don’t know," she choked out.

"You don’t know?" King Emric asked, his voice booming with authority. The soul-binding whip coiled tighter around the woman.

"Aaahh!!" The woman screamed in agony, even though she was just a soul; she felt as if the soul-binding whip was breaking her bones, mortifying her skin, and damaging her tissues and muscles in an excruciatingly painful way.

"I don’t know where she is; her soul was faint and weak, so I inhabited it. At first, I could still feel her somewhere in the corner of this soul, and we coexisted together, but after some time, I couldn’t feel her again. Only my soul was present, and she completely disappeared, leaving me her memories," she screeched.

"You mean you forcefully pushed her out and took over her soul, didn’t you?" Lord Algrith chimed in.

The woman shook her head vehemently at Lord Algrith’s. If they find out she had forcefully pushed the original soul out and had taken over, won’t they cause her soul to dissipate into nothingness? No, she couldn’t let them know.

"No, no, I didn’t do that; when I saw her soul, it was truly faint; I had just touched her when a strong force sucked me in and merged us. We both existed as one, I had no idea why she suddenly disappeared," she persuaded with righteous indignation.

"So, you’re finally admitting it—all these years, you’ve been working to sow seeds of hatred between Luciana and Nicholas. You’ve made it your mission to sabotage their chances at rekindling their love, all because of your own selfish desires?" Lord Algrith asked again.

"I didn’t mean to fall in love with the first Nicholas. Please believe me, but after acquiring her memories, I don’t know what came over me. I..."

"You were jealous of their love and made it so they could never reconcile their differences each time they reincarnated and never break the curse. And when the princess was given a second chance at life, you intentionally showed her only the bad side of the curse so that you could frighten her and make her leave the prince," Lord Algrith said, cutting her off.

The woman’s eyes widened in horror. ’Why did it seem like this cat had everything figured out? But she must deny his claims to the bitter end.’

"Great one, the cat is spouting nonsense; I never had such malicious intentions; I was momentarily confused, please forgive me," she said, her voice hoarse from screaming.

"Great one, this woman is still lying, but the dark princess needs our help; her soul is absent from her body; we must find her, and I’m sure she’s behind it," Lord Algrith said respectfully to King Emric.

"Where is she?" King Emric asked calmly but the whip coiled tighter around the woman.

"She’s in the 1000-year timeline," she yelled.

"I have told you everything; please let me go," she added.

For the first time, King Emric had a solemn expression on his face; the expression on Lord Algrith’s face was worse.

"That timeline was their worst love storyline; the pain they inflicted on each other was too much," Lord Algrith said.

"You must make contact with her soul. To do that, you must enter her dream and help her change the course of fate. If they reconcile their differences in that timeline, it should help reset their fate in this current timeline," King Emric instructed the cat.

"The souls come together every 1000 years," both King Emric and Lord Algrith said at the same time, a look of understanding passing through their eyes. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

"Thank you, great one. I’ll immediately set out and change the course of fate. I promise I’ll help the princess to rewrite their destiny," Lord Algrith said and bowed respectfully before disappearing.

"My lady, please rise; think about your health," Dora said to the crying queen. Queen Luciana reluctantly stood up, and with her legs feeling numb, she walked into her chambers and slumped onto the bed. She pulled her legs closer to her chest, and her petite frame looked small between the sheets.

Luciana from Gloryland felt sorry and angry at the same time on the queen’s behalf, but she didn’t know what to do. As she continued to think, she didn’t even know when she fell asleep. Maybe the Queen had cried so much that her body felt tired.

She had just closed her eyes when she heard someone call her name. The sound was familiar, and everywhere was dark. She continued to follow the sound of the voice in her dreams and saw the white, chubby cat.

"Lord Algrith? Is that you? Why am I dreaming about you?" she asked.

"Because I came to help you to fulfill your destiny," he said.

"The deities have blessed you with the ability to change the course of fate. You can now move this body as if it’s yours, but you must make them fall in love. You must go to your husband immediately. You would be finding out some strange things about your husband; don’t be afraid; this version of your husband has all his abilities. There was no seal placed on his abilities; that is why..."

The voice stopped abruptly, and Lord Algrith disappeared from her dream. Her eyes flew open, and she looked out the window in a daze. It was about 6:30 pm.

Strange, she could now move this body as if it belonged to her. She wouldn’t be restricted by the emotions of this lovesick queen, right? But what did Lord Algrith mean? What was he talking about? Why didn’t he complete his sentence? Why should she go and see her husband immediately? What strange things was she going to find out about her husband?

Nicholas had just stepped out for a brief moment only to find a cat lying beside Luciana’s head. Feeling annoyed at the cat he had been told was Luciana’s new pet, he carried it away from beside her.

He climbed onto the bed and lay beside her. He thought he was the only one who could sleep beside her.

Lord Algrith, whose interaction with Luciana had been stopped midway preventing him from relaying a message to Luciana in her dreams, could only shake his head at the petty man. He just hoped that the princess would understand his meaning and act accordingly.
