Rebirth: Top Actress, Your Big Shot Husband is Jealous Again!-Chapter 783: He has never been so scared in his life
Bella Green didn’t know how long she’d been crying before she finally fell asleep in Mason Bennett’s arms.
Looking at the tear-streaked face, Mason’s heart twisted with pain.
Especially because, even asleep, the girl continued to sob slightly, evoking a deep sense of sympathy.
At noon, he had called her several times, but never got through.
He called Leo Foster, who said they had been apart for a while.
Instantly, Mason panicked, sprinting out of the company, driving frantically to Stourford Entertainment.
Later, Elliot Morris sent over some traffic surveillance footage, and upon seeing Bella Green almost get hit by a car, Mason’s heart was in his throat.
He had never been so scared in his life.
If only the brakes had been pressed a little slower...
The consequences were unimaginable.
After getting out of the car, he dashed down the road and eventually found Bella Green in a small park.
So fragile, helpless, like a porcelain doll that would shatter at the slightest touch.
He then drove directly back to Fragrant Forest Riverside.
On the way, he had already called Mark Manning.
...
Looking at the girl on the bed, Mark Manning stood up, somewhat frustrated.
Clearly he’s just a psychologist, yet Mason Bennett had forced him into becoming an all-round doctor.
"Miss Green is just asleep," he said.
Mason’s expression remained stern: "I know."
Mark: "..."
"She hasn’t fainted."
"I know."
Mark felt something stuck in his chest, almost suffocating him.
How does it make sense to feel like killing someone?
"So why did you call me over?"
Mason withdrew his gaze from Bella Green and turned to Mark.
"Her mental state isn’t good, have a look."
Mark tried hard to calm his pounding temples, reminding himself that this was his boss.
Can’t get angry, can’t get angry!
Better not provoke!
"She certainly seems stimulated, but she’s asleep now."
Mason furrowed his brows, looking at him with some displeasure.
Mark thought he must be seeing things; otherwise, how could he see the words ’how useless’ in Mason’s eyes?
Where’s my knife? I want to hack someone!
"Maybe Mason you should first tell me what Miss Green has encountered?"
Mason furrowed his brow, pondering somewhat gloomily: "I don’t know."
He didn’t know what she had encountered or what had happened.
Thus, he didn’t even understand why she was so upset, which felt really dreadful.
"We’ll have to wait for Miss Green to wake up to talk about it."
Mark thought Mason was overly tense.
"There’s a guest room on the first floor, make yourself at home." Mason’s gaze remained fixated on Bella Green.
Mark flared up.
"Mason, I’m a psychologist!"
Upon hearing the dissatisfied voice, Mason finally shifted his gaze to him, giving him a glance.
"Are you trying to tell me you want to go back to the Chinese medical hospital?" Mason’s voice carried a slight chill.
Mark was startled, instantly clamming up, grabbing his stuff and slipping out the door.
At the doorway, he turned back with a chuckle: "The same room as before?"
This useless comment didn’t even warrant a glance from Mason. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Mark wasn’t bothered, still chuckling: "By the way, remember to say good things to my grandpa for me, being a psychologist is easy, clean, and profitable, much better than the medical hospital."
Having said that, and knowing Mason wouldn’t respond, Mark sensibly closed the door and left.
The room grew quiet.
Mason sat by the bed, watching the girl sleep uneasily, his brows filled with tenderness.
Lowering his head, his lips brushed against the girl’s forehead, softly kissing, as if to soothe, as if to cherish...
