Chapter 1744: Wrapping Things Up

-----

["Are you sure this is the right thing to do?"]

Michael seemed slightly concerned about Maria’s mercy.

"Hey, you’re not the one who decides what I do here, okay?"

["I was just worried. What if that man returns to Olympus and brings gods here?"]

"So what? I’ll kill them. It’ll be a grand feast of gods, and in the process, I’ll save all the worlds they’ve conquered. We’d kill three birds with one stone."

["Hah... Right, I forgot you’re a madwoman."]

Maria ignored his remarks and quickly regrouped with her family. Everyone celebrated their victory. Maria had gained many new "subordinates" and "undead friends."

The entire army had been subdued. Those who died became zombies and joined her forces, even against their will. At least she could guarantee their souls remained safe under her protection.

After all, even if their bodies perished, their souls would stay as her eternal companions. They could have damaged bodies repaired or become ghosts.

For eternity.

Or at least until Maria felt they had learned their lessons about not abusing the weak and innocent and about showing kindness.

It might vary depending on the person.

The defeated Immortals were forced to offer their Immortal Domains as compensation, along with all the valuables they carried.

Her Soul Realm trembled once more, overflowing with rich quantities of Ki of every Element as she absorbed these miniature worlds. Vibrant colors and new elements scattered throughout.

She also let her Soul Realm devour the entire mountain where the Sunlight Mountain Sect stood, including the city and sect itself.

Mostly because they were now part of the "Ghostly Fist Alliance." Maria always protected her people and ensured their safety.

The Heavenly Prince possessed the most vibrant Immortal Domain—a beautiful golden heaven with floating islands and treasures everywhere. The other Immortals’ domains were equally stunning. Fusing with Maria’s Soul Realm gave it a truly "holy" sector.

At least one part became like that. Her Soul Realm still predominantly remained a gigantic wasteland filled with Undead.

The Sunshine Empress’s Immortal Domain was particularly beautiful: a massive volcano surrounded by blazing volcanic lands, a floating golden castle, and countless treasures.

"Hmm~ That was delicious." Maria felt satisfied, patting her belly as if she had enjoyed a five-star meal. "Murim keeps blessing me with resources. This world just keeps giving. You’re all so generous and honest! I’ll forever appreciate our friendship from now on."

Seeing her act this way, the Immortals’ faces twisted with pain and grief. Some had tried to end themselves multiple times, only to fail.

She had also acquired the White Bone Tower, a powerful Immortal Formation House capable of generating strong Bone Beasts and Vengeful Ghosts, and the Millenary Death Tree House, which produced Dark Wood Beasts and fruits that acted like Elixirs to restore Lifeforce.

But the greatest reward was the giant Buddha Statue—a powerful "Dharma Treasure" in the form of a golden buddha. Its interior resembled machinery, though Cultivators called it a puppet.

Apparently, it could unleash attacks surpassing even the realm of Immortals. The Heavenly Prince had claimed the Heavenly Palace’s Council believed this buddha alone could handle her.

Unfortunately for them, they were terribly wrong.

As everything wrapped up, Maria entered her Pagoda’s headquarters, preparing for a bath while the castle began moving toward the next destination.

There, she met the Sunlight Mountain Sect family, their Elders, and Diomedes.

They knelt before her, foreheads touching the floor.

"Raise your heads," Maria said. "What do you want?"

"W-We swear allegiance to the Ghostly Fist Alliance!" the Sunshine Empress declared, raising her arms. "And... eternal loyalty!"

"Hm?" Maria tilted her head. "I know you’re bound to me. I chained everyone except that girl and her foolish boyfriend. I thought I told you two to leave. What are you doing here? Do you truly want me to kill you now?"

"I-I was wrong!" Diomedes muttered. "After seeing my companions who died revived by your magic—almost exactly as they were before—I realized your power is miraculous, not a curse! And... it’s fair for the victor to punish the losers, but to spare us this much...! Maybe I was wrong... maybe Uncle Phobos was doing something evil! I... I apologize."

"Hm," Maria nodded. "Your uncle’s soul was devoured by me. But his Divine Body became a headless guardian for the world he tormented... A fitting punishment for someone who killed hundreds of innocents, right?"

"..." Diomedes fell silent, closing his eyes and furrowing his brows. "I... am no one to judge my uncle’s punishment. You won... and it’s your right to do as you wish."

"Haha, you’re such a fool," Maria laughed, poking his broad forehead. "What a musclehead! Do you really like this idiot, girl?"

"H-He might be a musclehead, but Diomedes is... a good person..." Xiao said, defending him.

"Hmmm~" Maria smiled teasingly. "All right... I officially accept you into my Alliance. Now go away. I need my bath."

The group nodded and quickly departed. She had already interrogated them thoroughly anyway.

As Maria relaxed in her bath with aromatic salts, she reviewed the Level Up notifications.

It had been a day of tremendous gains.

"Oh! Hahaha! These Titles are perfect."

Maria couldn’t help but laugh as she read them.

Title Skills arose from collective beliefs about a person and great achievements recognized by the System.

A title like "Mad Demon Queen of Murim" clearly stemmed from the fear she had spread across the realm.

Now even the Heavenly Palace and Murim Alliance trembled at her name, likely whispering such titles in their hidden strongholds.
