Their bodies grew weaker with every passing second beneath the gaze of the woman in the sky.

"Gaaaahhh!"

The screams of their soldiers echoed across the battlefield. One elf woman swung her axe with savage precision, severing a soldier’s neck, his head tumbling skyward.

"Lord Neheb, they’re coming!"

A soldier burst into the pyramid, shadows already coiling behind him as dozens of Moon Elves leaped from the darkness.

"Damn it, you fucking bastards! Who is helping you?! What is going on?!"

The Pyramid Leader roared in fury, summoning his Divine Aura and fighting back with desperate force. Yet the Curse devoured his Divinity, stripping away his strength in moments.

"GAAAAHHH!"

The Moon Elves showed no mercy. They tore into him with bloodthirsty ferocity, weapons sinking deep into his flesh until nothing remained but a mangled pile on the floor.

Every soldier inside the pyramid fell. Their technology failed completely; none of their functions worked. The entire structure had shut down.

"It was faster than I thought," Lucifer observed.

"We didn’t even have to do anything, but it turned out better than expected!" Partner nodded eagerly.

"It was a wonderful plan!" Nia said brightly. "This way we can ensure their safety and resolve the problem immediately!"

"Yes. Let’s keep going."

Maria repeated the process with the second pyramid, then the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and beyond.

Each time, the army of Moon Elves swelled larger and fiercer. Empowered by their new abilities, they unleashed years of pent-up rage against their now-helpless oppressors.

Thebes faced a massacre unlike anything they had ever known, not even the fall of the Anubis Family compared, and none of them had ever truly cared about that loss.

Within the central pyramid rising above the moon’s surface, the Patriarch of the Sobek Family stared in horror as nine of his pyramids vanished one after another.

Worse still, soldiers and Moon Elves alike were being swallowed by encroaching shadows!

"What is this...?! What’s going on?!"

The Patriarch rose, hands shaking violently. He rushed toward a massive altar where a divine figure, a towering humanoid crocodile god, began to manifest.

"Lord Sobek! Lord Sobek! Darkness! Shadows are coming and devouring everything!"

"You fool! Don’t you realize who it is?! It’s her! The one who destroyed the Anubis Family and now holds Anubis as her slave!"

"W-Wha...?! Who?!"

"That woman! Don’t you remember the meeting you attended, you brainless idiot?!"

"You mean... that woman? Maria?!"

Because no one had truly cared about the Anubis Family’s downfall, most of the other Houses had dismissed it entirely.

That fatal indifference had now become his undoing.

"Prepare my vessel at once, you idiot!"

"Y-Yes!"

The Patriarch fled while Sobek’s Divine Power surged throughout the pyramid. The structure rapidly transformed, reshaping into a gigantic mech in the form of a humanoid crocodile.

Forged from green and gold steel and studded with crimson jewels, the two-hundred-meter titan rose into the horizon, glaring at Maria from afar.

Maria advanced like an unstoppable tide of darkness and shadows, consuming everything in her path. One by one the remaining pyramids fell. At last she reached her target.

"You must be the woman who dealt with the Anubis Family. You must be a complete fool if you think you stand a chance against us!"

Sobek’s divine voice thundered across the lunar surface. Azure ethereal rivers erupted everywhere, coiling around his body with overwhelming might.

The surroundings shifted, desert sands gave way to surging rivers. Hundreds of gigantic serpents and crocodiles formed from divine water rose into the air.

"I am Sobek, God of the Nile! I will not allow a fool like you to interfere with my affairs any longer!"

"Oho, perfect! Let’s test our newest creation, everyone!"

Maria’s shadows halted their advance as dozens of colossal serpents made of river water struck simultaneously.

SPLASH! SPLASH! SPLASH!

From her darkness, something enormous emerged, a fusion of dozens of pyramids bound together.

Following the same principle the Thebans had used, Maria infused her own soul into the machine’s core, claiming the structure as her vessel.

The colossal construct swiftly reshaped into a metallic goddess of black steel, her hair a swirling cascade of shadows and stars.

A sword materialized, the fusion of countless mechanical components, transforming into a massive blade of starlight.

"WHAT?!"

Sobek recoiled in shock as his serpents and crocodiles were sliced apart by her blade. Maria stepped forward, her mechanical body slamming into him with devastating force.

The Egyptian God gritted his teeth, claws raking across her armor before delivering a powerful kick that sent her staggering back. Torrential rain followed, morphing into countless spears of water that rained down upon her.

"DIE!"

The spears pierced her mechanical form rapidly.

Sobek sneered. Even if she possessed potential, she clearly lacked the mastery needed to wield such a powerful Divine Machine Vessel properly.

Yet.

FLUOSH!

The water cascading over her froze instantly, turning to ice that floated harmlessly around her.

At the same moment, black energy surged through her frame. Every wound in her mechanical body regenerated with terrifying speed.

Her form darkened to pitch black, absorbing the essence of Nightmares.

Maria charged forward once more. Sobek’s expression paled.

"Wait...! Wait a second—how can you regenerate so easily?!"

He swung a massive leg to drive her back.

Maria leaped skyward in an instant. Her giant mechanical blade descended in a blazing arc, black wind tornadoes and purple lightning erupting from its edge.

"GAAAHHHH!"

Sobek screamed as the devastating saber cleaved through his head and chest. His entire mechanical body erupted in flames while winds and lightning ravaged its interior.

Every Theban inside—including his Family Patriarch—met a swift, brutal end, shredded and incinerated to ash.

"How...! Just how are you...?! HOW?!"

The machine could no longer contain his soul. Maria summoned her Sword Soul Heart from within her vessel. A colossal mechanical sword rose from the surrounding debris and plunged through the robot once more, triggering an enormous explosion.

BOOOMMM!!!

The titanic mech collapsed, lifeless. Maria gazed down at Sobek’s damaged ethereal form.

"Y-YOUUUU!"

Despite everything, Sobek refused to yield. He clawed into the moon’s surface, desperately attempting to absorb the Moonlight Dew—the liquid at its core.

Moonlight Energy flooded his body, bathing him in silver and pinkish radiance. His form swelled massively, overflowing with newfound power.

"Hahahaha! I WON’T DIE! I AM THE GOD OF THE NILE!... AND THE MOON NOW!"

Laughing maniacally, he charged toward Maria with all his amplified might, claws unleashing a colossal beam of moonlight flames.

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

Maria endured the relentless barrage of explosions, yet she pressed forward. The moonlight enveloping her did not harm her.

In fact, it healed her wounds and made her stronger.

"...What?"

Before Sobek could comprehend the impossibility, his head rolled across the ground. Confusion flooded his mind; his ethereal form should not have been capable of dying from decapitation.

And yet the cold, suffocating embrace of death closed around him.

"This... shouldn’t be possible..."
