When she left Shang Kingdom, she was Lie Sisi, the delicate daughter of Lie Family Mansion, but now as she returns to Polo City, she appears no different from an ordinary traveler, dressed in light travel clothing.

She stood outside the shop for a moment, until a shop assistant came out, "Where is this blind person standing outside, blocking our customers?"

Dressed ordinarily today, Lie Sisi was unrecognized by the snobbish assistant, who spat near her feet after speaking.

Lie Sisi shot him a glance, and the assistant felt a chill run through his body. By the time he regained his senses, Lie Sisi had already walked far away.

Lie Sisi headed toward Little Shang Palace, but upon reaching the palace gate, she was stopped by several guards, "Who goes there? This is a critical area of Shang Kingdom, no unauthorized persons are allowed inside."

Lie Sisi took out the recommendation letter from Danlu, along with the emblem of Danlu on her possession: "I am a Middle-level Alchemist from Danlu, commissioned by Danlu to diagnose the poison afflicting Regent King Prince Fa."

The guards, after examining the letter and seeing the Elixir Medicine Gourd hanging from Lie Sisi’s waist which symbolizes her identity from Danlu, immediately changed their attitude. They informed a palace servant, and shortly after, a woman resembling a Female Official came to greet Lie Sisi and escorted her into the palace.

Following the Fa Family brothers and the incident with Sha Fei, Little Shang Palace felt desolate, though the palace gardens were still filled with green trees and flowers, and the pavilions and water pavilions were as they had been. As Lie Sisi walked past, however, she felt an indescribable darkness looming.

The Female Official leading the way also exuded an aura of Yin Evil Energy.

It was rumored that Fa Xiaoyi had a team of Dark Knights, and it seemed to be true.

As Lie Sisi thought to herself, she reached Emperor South Hall, the residence of Fa Xiaoyi in Little Shang Palace since before he was of age. He had continued living here since becoming the Regent King.

Along the way, Lie Sisi inquired about Fa Xiaoyi’s illness from the Female Official, who only mentioned that the Regent King’s poisoning was long-standing, suppressed by Dark Power all this while. However, for unknown reasons, his condition suddenly worsened during a retreat for training, and he is now deeply poisoned and in a semi-comatose state.

Upon arriving at Emperor South Hall, Lie Sisi had just stepped inside when she felt a chilling Yin energy hit her in the face.

The guards inside the palace and outside Little Shang Palace were distinctly different; these knights were all clad in Heavy Armor, their faces concealed by helmets, leaving only pairs of ghastly green eyes visible.

These... were not human.

Lie Sisi felt a tremor in her heart. As an Alchemist, she could tell these knights had extraordinary skills, yet almost none of them breathed.

These people, merely standing, exuded a vengeful and evil aura, giving one the illusion of being deep in a chilly ice cellar.

It would indeed be strange if Fa Xiaoyi could remain energetic after spending so much time with these non-human entities.

The female official hesitated for a moment, then gestured for the Dark Knights to withdraw.

Lie Sisi walked to the bedside, pulled back the curtain, and when she saw the man’s face clearly, her brows furrowed with tension.

The temples, the bridge of the nose, and the pale face tinged with a hint of green from illness, it was him.

Fa Xiaoyi, the person she loathed yet loved, her complicated adversary.

Lie Sisi took a deep breath and began treating Fa Xiaoyi.

After a thorough examination, she indeed identified the ailment of Fa Xiaoyi.

As the crimson blood gradually flowed into Fa Xiaoyi’s body, his complexion started to regain its rosiness.
