Reborn as a Transcendent-Chapter 697Book 3: : Berserk Drug Acquired
As night deepened, the work below continued in an orderly fashion. The dilapidated stairwell, after extensive renovation by the three humanoid puppets, was now nearly complete. With just some fine-tuning left, it would be ready for occupancy.
“Mm, not bad at all,” Yae-hime said, surveying the interior with a satisfied nod.
“Of course! These are my most prized puppets!” Little Blue lifted her chin proudly.
Yae-hime gave her a playful pat on the backside. “Alright, alright, I get it, you’re amazing.”
“Ow!” Little Blue yelped theatrically, pretending it hurt. As if she’d truly been struck hard.
“Okay, enough fooling around,” Yae-hime said, stepping out of the stairwell.
The little ones quickly followed after her.
By this time, the clouds had dispersed, revealing a crescent moon in the night sky, casting a faint silver glow over the earth.
“Has Lucky begun moving?” Yae-hime asked, gazing up at the moon above. Though the opponent wasn’t especially strong, she still had to stay alert to anything that might happen off the battlefield, just in case.
“Let me take a look.” Little Blue tapped into the void and pulled up a stream of information. “Master, Lucky and a bunch of his men have already chartered a plane from the United States and are en route to Okinawa.”
At the mention of Okinawa, Yae-hime’s expression shifted slightly. She suddenly recalled a closed beta player: Honda Yu.
“That Avenger-class player might actually pose a bigger threat to me than Mira does.”
“Master?” Little Blue tilted her adorable head, not quite understanding.
“Little Blue, look into Honda Yu for me,” Yae-hime said softly, brushing aside a few strands of hair tossed about by the night breeze.
“Okay! I’ll get on it right away!” Without asking further, Little Blue dove into the search.
It didn’t take long before she brought the results back to Yae-hime. It was mostly what Yae-hime already suspected. Honda Yu had completely disappeared after that incident.
“She’s probably holed up somewhere playing the game,” she said. Thinking back to how that witch had gone on a killing spree against foreign players in-game, Yae-hime could vaguely guess what kind of situation she was in now.
Probably not much better than her own had been before.
“She’s a ruthless one. I’ll have to be extra careful if we cross paths again.” Then, changing the subject, Yae-hime asked, “So, is Lucky planning to sail from Okinawa to Baiding Island?”
“That’s still unclear,” Little Blue replied with a shake of her head.
“Keep an eye on it for me.”
“Got it!”
“Let’s head up.” Yae-hime looked up toward the void.
Little Blue nodded. Her eyes flashed with a soft blue glow. In the next moment, the two of them vanished into beams of white light.
Meanwhile, inside the game—
“Taurus, 98% of our core members have reached level 20,” S.K.Y. reported after checking the guild stats.
“Very good!” Taurus slapped the table, grinning with delight. He’d already slapped the table so many times that day that the surface was covered in palm marks.
The constant banging drew annoyed glances from nearby non-guild players. But once they saw the powerful Death of Love guild members surrounding him, their expressions changed instantly.
Some were frustrated, some resentful, others fearful. In the end, they could only mutter complaints under their breath or stomp their feet on the ground to show their displeasure.
Taurus caught their reactions from the corner of his eye, and his lips curled into a sneer of contempt.
“By 6 a.m., every core member will definitely be above level 20,” S.K.Y. continued.
“Mm, not bad at all.” Taurus withdrew his hand and tapped his forehead lightly. “Did the military side agree to provide that item for us?”
At that, S.K.Y. nodded. “They did. It’ll be ready to deploy by early tomorrow morning. As long as that black-hearted princess shows up, she won’t escape us.” 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
“It’s a bit of a waste to use such a treasure… but we’ve got no other choice.” A cold, vicious glint flashed in Taurus’ eyes, alongside an undisguised greed. As long as things went according to plan tomorrow and the black-hearted princess fell into their trap, he could wipe her out completely.
‘Your equipment’s top-tier. Too bad it’s about to become mine!’ Clenching his fists, he couldn’t suppress the smug grin forming on his handsome face.
S.K.Y. gave him a quick glance, then slowly lowered his head again. ‘Looks like I can’t stay in Huadu any longer.’
The moment Taurus succeeded would be the moment of his total defeat. Everything S.K.Y. had worked for would become someone else’s glory. How could he possibly accept such an outcome?
‘Once I log out, I’ll head back to my hometown. No one knows about that place. As long as I stockpile enough food, I can hide out for a long time.’ With that thought, S.K.Y.’s pupils turned completely blood-red. ‘No matter what happens, I’ll claim everything that’s rightfully mine!’
“S.K.Y., keep up the good work. After tomorrow’s battle, I’ve got a big gift for you!” Taurus looked over at him and smiled.
Hearing this, S.K.Y. closed his eyes. When he reopened them, his gaze had returned to normal. “Thank you, Young Master Taurus,” he said with a polite smile.
The two locked eyes for a moment. A strange tension slowly filled the air between them.

Time flew by. In the blink of an eye, morning arrived. After having breakfast with her little cuties, Yae-hime returned to her room and logged into the game.
In the guest room of Layna’s home, a flash of white light revealed her elegant figure.
“I wonder if the berserk drug is finished.” She stepped out of the room and headed toward Layna’s workshop.
The air carried a faint medicinal scent. Standing at the door, Yae-hime gently knocked. After a few seconds, the workshop door slowly opened, revealing a pale and visibly exhausted girl… It was Layna.
“Princess, it’s done!” she said, giving a thumbs-up with a tired smile.
“Thank you,” Yae-hime replied as she conjured a green needle, swiftly pricking it into Layna and injecting a surge of dense life energy.
Layna’s long-deprived body absorbed the life energy greedily, like parched soil drinking in spring rain. Perhaps the infusion was too intense, her entire body trembled as a faint blush bloomed across her face.
Even her brain felt like it was vibrating. As though she might ascend to heaven at any moment. The joy she felt was beyond words.
By the time Layna recovered, Yae-hime had already prepared breakfast and placed it neatly on the table, “Here you go.”
Seeing only one portion, Layna blinked in confusion. “You’re not eating?”
“I’ve already eaten,” Yae-hime replied with a faint smile.
“Well then, I won’t hold back.” It was Layna’s first time tasting Yae-hime’s cooking, and she was full of anticipation.
However, once she took a bite… the best she could say was: it was average. Truly, painfully average. Compared to her own culinary skills, there was an obvious gap. Still, she ate it with great enjoyment.
After the meal—
“Princess, there are ten finished bottles in total. Originally, there were eleven, but I messed one up by accident.” Layna spoke a bit apologetically.
“No worries. Ten bottles is already fantastic.” Yae-hime picked one up. Looking at the clear vial of crimson liquid, a joyful smile spread across her face.
In past battles against strong opponents, she had always been suppressed for a while at the start, taking unnecessary damage. But now, with these berserk drugs, she could skip that phase entirely and start at full power from the get-go!
