Reborn as a Transcendent-Chapter 744Book 3: : More… More… More…
Just as Yae-hime and Lili boarded the luxurious beast-drawn carriage and set off toward Aureole Town near Aoma Village.
* **Elsewhere, in the southern seas of Cathay. Doom Island.**
That was how the surrounding nations referred to this island of unknown ownership. Because this island truly lived up to the name. The island was thick with trees and infested with countless venomous insects. All of them were highly aggressive, and a single bite or two could send anyone with weaker resistance straight to the grave.
A place this dangerous naturally attracted almost no visitors. Even fugitives avoided it like the plague. Fishermen from nearby countries refused to approach it at all, so the island remained in a completely untouched, primordial state.
Yet on this terrifying island, a voice suddenly echoed.
“Peace to you, Matriarch.”
Deep within a cavern on Doom Island, a woman in a crimson dress knelt on one knee with her head lowered in reverence.
Before her floated a strange creature. She looked almost human, yet she possessed butterfly wings and delicate antennae atop her head.
At that moment, this beautiful being who was clearly not human slowly opened her eyes. It was a pair of eyes shimmering with multicolored light. With her awakening, the cavern grew eerily silent. The enormous insects within froze completely, as if time itself had halted.
“Red.” The butterfly-like beauty parted her cherry lips and called the woman’s name. Her voice carried an ethereal, distant quality, as though it drifted from a faraway realm.
“Matriarch, waking you ahead of time is an unforgivable crime. But this matter is far too important, so I dared to…” The woman called Red lifted her head, revealing her exquisite face.
Who else could she be but the very same Sister Red who had nearly ruined Yaeger’s life?
“Speak.” The beautiful butterfly being replied without expression. There was no telling what she was thinking.
“Matriarch, I discovered a strange creature in Cathay.” Even though the other party remained expressionless, Red knew she was already displeased. She immediately got straight to the point.
She opened the black backpack beside her and took out a square glass container. Inside was a large green cockroach on the verge of death.
The moment the butterfly being saw the cockroach, her eyes suddenly widened, and she raised a slender hand. In the next instant, the glass container was pulled toward her.
Sensing danger, the dying green cockroach suddenly writhed with desperate vigor, like a final burst of life. Unfortunately, no matter how it thrashed, it could not break the specially made glass container.
In the blink of an eye, the beautiful butterfly being was holding the container in her hand, her multicolored eyes studying the green cockroach intently.
The creature had already gone still, trembling all over. Instinct told it that this butterfly creature was unimaginably dangerous.
“Mutation.” After observing it for a moment, the butterfly being spoke. Her voice carried a trace of unmistakable surprise.
“Yes. That is why I rushed it back for you to examine,” Red replied.
“Not natural. Artificial,” the butterfly being said again. Red simply remained quiet and listened. “Interesting. A special human.”
As she spoke, multicolored light shot from the butterfly being’s eyes and pierced through the glass, striking the green cockroach with perfect precision. The cockroach tried to dodge, but its body refused to move. Within moments, it was engulfed in the multicolored radiance. Then its mind went blank.
“Bathroom… woman…” the butterfly being murmured softly. She was using a special method to search its memories. Unfortunately, she retrieved only vague fragments. No matter how mutated it was, it was still a cockroach, and its memory capacity was pitifully limited.
“Find her. Bring her back,” the butterfly being commanded.
“Yes, Matriarch,” Red lowered her head and answered. She then remembered something and added, “Matriarch, regarding the high-quality human males needed by the Broodmother, I have located a few. But she seems displeased with them.”
“Continue searching,” the butterfly being said in her calm, indifferent tone. With those words, she closed her eyes and drifted into slumber.
The glass container holding the green cockroach continued floating in midair. Seeing this, Red rose carefully, retrieved the container, and slowly backed out of the area.
Once she retreated more than ten meters away, a radiant, multicolored barrier appeared around the beautiful butterfly being, sealing her off from the outside world. At the same time, rustling sounds echoed from deeper within the cavern as the enormous insects stirred back to life.
Red left the cave and stepped outside.
Under the moonlight, she could see the cluster of giant insects gathered around the cave entrance. Some were emerald green, others glimmered with rainbow hues. Every one of them looked unmistakably venomous.
Yet despite their terrifying appearance and aggressive nature, none of them attacked her. Instead, they scattered in every direction as if fleeing from a natural predator. Unbothered by the reaction of the surrounding insects, Red suddenly lifted her gaze to the sky and muttered to herself, “Finding that special human in Roc City will not be easy.”
It was like searching for a needle in the ocean. Fortunately, she still had a clue to follow. Lowering her head, she looked at the still-trembling green cockroach in her hand and smiled. “From here on, it all depends on your performance.”
As if it understood her words, the green cockroach trembled even harder.

* **Inside the game.**
A luxurious beast-drawn carriage sped along the road. Despite its high speed, the passengers inside barely felt any bumps. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
“This feels much better than before.” Lili lay on Yae-hime’s lap and spoke softly.
“You get what you pay for,” Yae-hime replied with a smile.
The carriage they took to the Phantabeast Range earlier had been the fastest one in Aoma Village. But speed was its only merit. Its comfort level had been terrible.
This specially modified luxury carriage, its body engraved with various inscriptions, was naturally far more comfortable than the special-express beast carriage from Aoma Village.
“Are you worried those Apostles will come looking for trouble?” Lili turned to her and asked.
Yae-hime nodded. “The Apostle you killed claimed to be the Fifth Apostle. Judging from what these Apostles said, it seems that the smaller the number, the stronger they are. Which means at least four Apostles stronger than her may come after us.”
“Yes. With your current strength, handling one Apostle stronger than that woman is possible. Any more than that becomes dangerous,” Lili said.
“That is why I asked you to help me,” Yae-hime said with a smile.
“Only to help?” Lili protested with dissatisfaction.
Yae-hime thought for a moment. “And for beauty care.”
Hearing that, Lili immediately showed a ‘now that sounds more acceptable’ expression.
‘Beauty care… because of the rush, I still have not adjusted Alicia’s body. Forget it. I will do it next time when I get the chance. It is not urgent anyway.’ With that thought, Yae-hime smiled faintly and reached out to gently pat Lili’s head.
The little one instantly squinted her eyes in bliss, shouting in her heart, ‘More, more, more~’
Unfortunately, Yae-hime only stroked her briefly before withdrawing her hand. The beast-drawn carriage continued racing forward at high speed, bringing them closer and closer to Aureole Town.
