“Emergency, emergency!”

The quiet peace of Aoma Village was suddenly shattered by a frantic shout. Many villagers hurriedly opened their doors and windows to see what was going on. They saw a sturdy, dark-skinned youth sprinting through the street while shouting, “Something terrible’s happened! Angelica and the others are in trouble!”

“What!?”

“How could anything happen inside the village?”

“Don’t tell me those damned outsiders barged in again?!”

“If they dare come, we must teach them a proper lesson this time!”

In an instant, the whole crowd was riled up, voices surging like a rising tide. However, the young man’s next words made their fiery spirits instantly collapse.

“It wasn’t outsiders. Angelica and the others went out to sea to investigate that deserted island. They ran into what might be a sea beast. They were sunk by the waves it created!”

The youth might have been panicking, but his words remained clear and steady. As soon as he finished, the square fell into absolute silence. Everyone froze as if time itself had stopped; not a single person even blinked.

After several seconds, chaos erupted completely.

“A s-sea beast!” one villager cried out first.

Panic spread like wildfire. Someone immediately bolted back into their home and locked every door and window. Someone screamed in sheer terror. Someone’s legs went weak as fear drained the color from their face. Someone stood utterly stunned, not knowing how to react at all. Someone remembered the nightmares of being at the mercy of a sea beast.

In no time, the terrifying news had spread throughout the entire village.

“Let’s go check the docks!” In the church warehouse, Layna spoke anxiously.

“Yes, big brother, let’s go!” Aurora turned to Fiat, her expression filled with worry and fear.

Fiat hesitated briefly before making a decision. “Alright. But first we need to inform the people at the church so Princess won’t worry when she returns.”

He and Angelica were not exactly close, they barely exchanged five sentences between them. But she served by Princess’ side. No matter what, he had to help.

‘I can only let them check the docks. I absolutely can’t allow them to go out to sea.’ He was deeply afraid Aurora and Layna would rush off toward that deserted island. After all, there was a terrifying creature out there that might very well be a sea beast.

Before long, they set out together with the villagers heading outside to investigate. Just as they left Aoma Village, two black shadows slipped into the village behind them.

Seeing the lights blazing and the streets packed with people, Yae-hime immediately sensed something was wrong. After overhearing the villagers’ frantic discussions and seeing the panic in their expressions, her heart sank.

“It seems something serious happened,” Lili whispered.

“They said a sea beast attacked,” Yae-hime replied, her brows tightening. It wasn’t an Apostle, but a sea beast. Something she had never expected.

“Angelica won’t be harmed, right? She’s such a good child… may the Goddess protect her!” A woman nearby prayed anxiously.

“What happened to Angelica?” Hearing her, Yae-hime quickly stepped closer and asked urgently.

“Ah—It’s the Lord Angel!” The woman was so moved she nearly fell to her knees.

“What exactly happened?” Yae-hime gestured for her to calm down and explain quickly.

“Yes, Lord Angel…” The woman repeated everything she had heard in detail.

Yae-hime’s expression shifted several times beneath her mask, worry weighing heavily in her heart.

“Let’s go take a look ourselves,” Lili suggested. She had met Angelica as well. Knowing the girl was in danger, she naturally couldn’t just ignore it.

“Yes. No time to waste!” Yae-hime nodded, tapped off the ground, and vaulted onto a rooftop before leaping toward the docks. Lili followed right behind her.

Under the moonlight, the villagers watched that familiar figure and couldn’t hold back their excitement as they shouted emotionally.

“It’s the Lord Angel!”

“We’re saved!”

“The Lord Angel will definitely defeat the sea beast and bring them back!”

“We’re counting on you, Lord Angel!”

“May the Goddess bless you!”

At that moment, the villagers’ fear gradually faded, replaced by a sense of relief. They firmly believed that the almighty Lord Angel could save Aoma Village a second time.

“May the Goddess bless us!”

“May the Goddess bless us!”

Right then, every villager pressed their hands together before their chest, praying devoutly to the great Goddess of Light.

“Little Hime, turns out you’re a scammer too.” Listening to the chorus of prayers, Lili said with a teasing smile.

“I’m not!” Yae-hime shot her an exasperated glare.

The two of them moved swiftly, leaving Aoma Village behind in the blink of an eye. At the same time, at the imperial docks…

“The waves are surging like crazy!” Fiat stared at the breakers slamming into the docks, utterly shocked. If the waves near the shore were already this violent, the situation at the deserted island was beyond imagination. It had to be a calamity.

Under such conditions, Angelica and the others had only the smallest chance of survival.

“Big brother, what should we do?” Aurora asked helplessly, completely lost.

“There’s nothing we can do.” Fiat shook his head.

“With waves this fierce, even seasoned fishermen wouldn’t dare enter the water, much less us.” Layna clasped her hands tightly and looked out at the pitch-black sea.

“She’s right.” Fiat nodded hard in agreement.

Seeing this, Aurora bit her lip, frustration filling her chest. When faced with true danger, she was painfully powerless. ‘If only Princess were here…’ As if responding to her wish, a strange yet familiar voice suddenly rose from behind them.

“What are you all doing here?” Even with a disguised tone, anyone who knew her could recognize it.

“Pr—” Layna turned around, about to call her name, but noticed the nearby villagers and hastily corrected herself. “You’re finally back!” Calling Yae-hime *Lord Angel* felt impossible for her. It would make her break out in goosebumps.

Everyone looked toward the voice, faces lighting up with ecstatic joy. Hope rekindled in their hearts. As long as the Lord Angel was here, there was no such thing as a hopeless crisis.

Whether it was the villagers or Aurora and Fiat, they all trusted her completely. They believed she could overcome any obstacle and resolve this disaster.

As for Angelica and the others, saving them would, of course, be ideal. But surviving in such a vicious, raging sea was incredibly unlikely. The villagers did not hold much hope.

Aurora was about to speak when Yae-hime cut her off. “Stay here. We’ll go check the deserted island.” Before anyone could respond, Yae-hime and Lili tapped the ground lightly and leapt straight into the sea.

“Princess!” Aurora’s heart nearly jumped out of her throat.

Layna’s face went pale, and her pulse raced.

But Fiat’s sharp eyes caught something different, neither of them actually dove into the sea. They were walking on the water. ‘Amazing… what kind of realm is this!?’ Fiat balled his fists in awe.

A moment later, Aurora and Layna finally realized what they were seeing, both utterly stunned. The villagers, however, accepted it far more easily. After all, she was the Goddess’ envoy. Being able to walk on water was practically a basic skill, wasn’t it?

Seconds later, the two figures vanished entirely from everyone’s view. The sea continued to roar, like a colossal black beast awakening from slumber.
