Reborn as a Weak Earthling, I Became the Most Overpowered Mage Alive-Chapter 75: Ch : The Social Network
"W-We are back..."
Relief-filled sighs filled the area as people were transported back to Earth. So far, this had been one of the longest games humanity had played, but it had also been the most peaceful one, where not a lot of people died.
Still, the relief of being back in their familiar world caused some people to shed tears.
clapping
"I am astonished at humanity’s talent to make the most interesting stories turn boring. Still, you all did clear Game 10, so you will get your reward."
The puppet spoke, her monotonous voice reaching everyone. The next second, everyone looked at their system as a new notification flashed across their screen.
[World chat and system communication launched.]
[Welcome, one and all, to the biggest network that connects even different worlds. Get ready to leave your mark here and make a viral post~]
"W-What is this corny line?"
"Is the system asking us to become celebrities?"
Some people questioned as they opened the forums and other media. The network looked like the internet, but there was only one social media platform where everyone posted.
It had a lot of links and other information available, but when someone tried to unlock it, they were hit with a ’not enough authority’ button.
"What is the use of this stupid social media if I cannot even view everything?"
Clara complained as she tried to open a forum but was denied once more. That was her and most of humanity’s experience with the overall forum.
"Everyone, the forum is a good place to attract the attention of some big-shots and get a sponsorship offer. The more famous you get on social forums, the more access you will get to future information. As for the rest... you are free to explore it yourself."
With the news and reward given, the puppet did not stick around for long.
Her departure caused people to feel relief, and they immediately started to explore the pseudo-internet in front of them.
"Should we make a post as well? I am interested in this sponsorship business. Do you think it will help us out if we take one?"
Lilianna asked as she tried to swipe on a certain topic, only to be denied entry. She felt frustrated before she kept trying. But she could not click on anything.
"A sponsorship can be worth a lot... but only if you make it with a good sponsor. Most sponsors will only exploit you until they no longer have any use for you and then throw you away to get a new partner. They are scum that need to burn."
Seraphina’s voice sounded bitter when she spoke. It was clear that she had a personal history with this stuff, but no one wanted to poke a sore spot.
Thankfully, it did not seem as if she felt particularly affected by what had just happened.
Andrew kept an eye on her and also on the system. Just like most people, his authority was not high either. But he had much deeper knowledge about how to increase it in a short amount of time.
His first post on the platform instantly attracted a lot of attention from humans and non-humans as well.
"Woah-! You posted here already? Let me see..."
[I don’t want a sponsor. - Mark Dawson]
Not only humans, but other creatures had already started to leave comments he was not going to read.
[Your post has been viewed more than 100k times. You have increased your authority. A new stat will be added to your overall system stats.]

Authority: 2]
Unlike most stats, authority only went up to 20 levels, after which people had access to everything available on the system.
But it required a lot of time and effort to level authority up, and most of the time, it was not worth it to go past level 10.
Still, information was a precious resource, so Andrew was going to do his best to level it up to 10 as soon as possible.
"Hoh-! If Andrew is posting like this, then I guess the social media stuff should be worth it. Let’s see who else is posting stuff... is this a ragebait post...? Who could have... no way-! Emperor? But somehow, it suits you..."
Clara refreshed her feed, only to immediately be hit with Emperor’s provocation.
More and more people were starting to post, and she felt like she had to post as well, or else she would be left behind.
"What should I post...? What should I post...? What is this...?"
She questioned as she suddenly came across a new post. The name of the poster was Thief, and she felt like she had to check it out based on principle.
[Do you wish to know your future? Do you wish to make sure you are able to survive the games? If so, then come and join us together in a united front at ’The Peace Cooperation’ to face these games and help make a good future. - Thief]
"This totally reads like an ad. But... it does seem interesting, right? Should we check it out?"
She asked, turning toward Andrew to get his reaction.
"So, it’s already time for this, huh? I don’t like these people. But I won’t deny that this is something humans need as well."
Emperor sounded a little sour when he spoke.
The Peace Cooperation was something that had always established itself in all his past attempts as well, and so far, it had been humanity’s biggest success when it came to lowering casualties related to the games.
But something about this place had always struck him as... weird and suspicious. So he had always kept his distance.
"I am not sure what Thief is planning, but we better keep an eye on things and see where it goes. But honestly, I won’t mind helping with a cause to unite the people."
Andrew agreed as well, wondering if things would have changed had their own people thought of presenting a united front like this.
