Chapter 1187: Chapter 1189: Can You Wait Until I Give Birth?

Very soon, the Han Family’s dinner party began, and the dishes were quite lavish.

Guo Feng and Han Yongsheng happily had a few drinks together.

Even Xiaotian ate quite a lot, perhaps because she was in a particularly good mood today.

Wen Nuan, also due to her pregnancy, ate quite a bit.

The four of them at the table shared a harmonious atmosphere.

Before they knew it, the dinner party was over, and Guo Feng decided to take Xiaotian home.

Han Yongsheng and Wen Nuan escorted Guo Feng and Xiaotian all the way to the door, and the Guo Family generously offered them a return gift.

By the carriage, Wen Nuan and Xiaotian, looking reluctant to part, puzzled Guo Feng and Han Yongsheng. In just one afternoon, they seemed to have become as close as one person.

However, seeing such a scene made Guo Feng and Han Yongsheng very happy, after all, they were good brothers, and if their wives could become good sisters, it would be even better. When they have children, their families can unite even further.

Thus, Guo Feng and Xiaotian boarded the carriage and left the Han family home.

Watching the carriage disappear at the corner, Han Yongsheng and Wen Nuan finally returned to the house.

Upon entering, Han Yongsheng spoke, "You seemed to have a good conversation with the sister-in-law. You should visit them more, we’re going to be in-laws soon, you know."

"Yes."

"I’ll get the Grand Theater tickets for you tomorrow."

"Okay, but we need tickets for the smaller theater. The large theater is too crowded, not suitable for us, especially since we’re both pregnant. Getting pushed around wouldn’t be good," Wen Nuan reminded him.

"Yes, understood. With the smaller theater available, why would you go to the large theater? Even if you weren’t pregnant, I wouldn’t want you being jostled around in the large theater."

...

Today, Xiaotian was in a great mood, and Guo Feng could tell. It made him feel like taking her out was the right decision, and he should take her out more often. "I noticed you and Han Yongsheng’s wife had a good chat."

"Yes, we really hit it off," Xiaotian responded with a smile; she had never felt such affinity with anyone before.

"You don’t know many people around here, so if you feel you connect with her, visit more often. We’re going to be in-laws soon," Guo Feng, being Han Yongsheng’s good brother, echoed similar sentiments.

"Yes."

"The performances at the Grand Theater are fantastic. It’d be great to see them, but remember to bring someone with you because it’s crowded there, and you wouldn’t want to get pushed. You’re already quite far along," Guo Feng advised Xiaotian. He felt a bit disappointed he couldn’t accompany her, but since Xiaotian and Wen Nuan had made plans without him and Han Yongsheng, he didn’t press the matter. He thought he’d take Xiaotian alone on another occasion.

"Sure, don’t worry, I’ll be careful," Xiaotian replied, before turning the conversation, "How about yourself, did you get a buzz from the drinks?"

"I didn’t drink much, barely felt a thing." Xiaotian’s caring words warmed Guo Feng’s heart. Xiaotian had been so aloof at home, always responding with short answers, but now she was finally chatting with him like a normal couple.

He thought they might be getting closer. He considered this as, under the influence, he took Xiaotian’s hand and leaned his face closer to hers.

As he moved in to kiss Xiaotian, her sudden response startled him, and she quickly dodged away.

This sudden movement caused the carriage itself to sway a bit.

Seeing Guo Feng’s obviously disappointed face, Xiaotian spoke with guilt, "Could you, could you wait until after the baby is born, brother?"
