Reborn as an Yandere : Yandere X Yandere-Chapter 265: Lortell’s Surprise
Chapter 265: Lortell’s Surprise
Maruti’s lips twitched again as she glared at Kailith.
"This little—she used her charm again, didn’t she?"
Kailith just stared straight ahead like the most innocent person in the world. But then, her eyes widened slightly, as if she remembered something important. Without saying a single word, she suddenly stood up and ran out of the classroom.
Even the teacher blinked in confusion but didn’t stop her.
Maruti sat up straight in surprise. "Did she finally grow a few brain cells and decide to leave me?!"
She almost smiled in hope—but that hope didn’t last even five minutes.
Kailith came back into the classroom, but something was definitely different about her this time.
She was now wearing a black choker on her neck, and a medium sized half-cape that looked more like a stylish black jacket with golden buttons. It flowed behind her as she walked, giving her a mysterious and noble look.
Those were the two gifts Maruti had given her before... and now she was wearing them in front of the whole class.
Maruti’s lips twitched harder in irritation. "She totally did that on purpose... just to get more attention!" she thought, trying her best not to explode.
---
Kailith sat back down beside her and gave her a side glance.
"How do I look?" she asked sweetly.
"Beauty with no brain," Maruti replied flatly without blinking.
But Kailith just smiled even more. "At least you called me a beauty!"
---
At that moment, Esdeath quietly stood up, picked up her belongings, and moved to a corner seat near the window without saying anything. She simply sat down and stared out the window, minding her own business.
Kailith waved her hand happily. "You really are a good friend, Esdeath!"
---
The teacher cleared her throat and began the class. "As we discussed earlier, theory classes will be short from now on. Only the first two periods will be theory, then we’ll move on to sword, magic, and sparring sessions," she said, flipping open a thick book.
As the lecture began, Maruti leaned back in her chair awkwardly, her mind spinning with frustration.
"Even Esdeath left me alone with her! Urgh... she’s sitting right next to me, I can’t teleport away just like that!" she thought.
She quietly took out a golden ring from her pocket—the special teleport ring that could take her to xing liang—and rubbed it in frustration, waiting for the perfect moment to escape.
"If I could just find a small excuse... I’d be gone in a second!" she thought, gritting her teeth as she peeked at Kailith from the corner of her eye.
Suddenly, Maruti felt something strange. It was like the space between her and Kailith was shrinking. She glanced down—and sure enough—Kailith’s black, heart-shaped tail was slowly slithering around her thighs.
It had already wrapped around one of her legs and was now creeping under her skirt.
Maruti’s lips twitched. She grabbed the tail tightly with one hand, trying to stay calm.
"You better control this tail of yours! Don’t let it crawl around like that!" she whispered sharply.
Kailith gave an innocent look and whispered back, "What should I do? I can’t help it... It’s been more than twelve hours since we last did it!"
Her voice was soft and sweet, but her words were anything but.
"Twelve hours? That’s not even that long! And we’re in class, damn it!" Maruti snapped under her breath. "Weren’t you supposed to be a proud and noble girl? When did you become so shameless?"
Kailith leaned closer, her fingers gently resting on Maruti’s thigh.
"I told you... I can’t help it. And don’t forget—we’re under contract now. You have to take care of my needs, even the... special ones," she whispered teasingly.
Maruti rolled her eyes and smirked.
"Ha! I read the whole contract, remember? There’s nothing written about sex during class—or outdoor sex!"
Kailith opened her mouth like she wanted to argue, but then quietly closed it. She had no comeback.
As the class went on, Kailith’s breathing grew heavier. She was sweating slightly, and a warm blush covered her cheeks. She could barely sit still.
In the end, she gave up. "At least... give me your hand," she whispered, almost begging. "Just your hand will be enough..."
Maruti sighed and glanced at Kailith. Her expression was desperate, her legs were slightly trembling under the desk, and she looked like she would explode at any second.
"I don’t want to get forced into something, right in the middle of class..." Maruti thought.
So, without another word, she slowly extended her right hand toward Kailith.
Kailith quickly grabbed it, pulled it close, and began licking Maruti’s fingers and palm softly—like it was the most delicious thing in the world.
Her tongue moved slowly, tasting every part of Maruti’s hand. Warm saliva coated Maruti’s fingers, but Kailith didn’t care. She even kept her eyes forward, pretending to listen to the teacher while using Maruti’s hand as if it were a magical power source.
It was like licking her hand was recharging her strength.

Meanwhile, up in the front row, left corner seat, Calista sat quietly in her white and blue nun robes. She tried glancing back at Kailith, trying not to be obvious. Her heart was strangely unsettled.
"Why... why does Kailith feel so familiar now?" she thought.
She rubbed her arms slowly as a strange weird feeling ran down her spine.
"It’s like... we’re sisters or something..."

As the lecture went on slowly but surely rain also stopped, the teacher continued talking excitedly about the history of mages and swordsmen. She spoke proudly about the legendary hero’s party that once saved the world.
"There was Martial God Xing Liang," she said with a smile. "And Sword Saint Reinhardtz, the mighty Hero himself. Then we had the great Archmage and Berserker, Lilith. The graceful Silver Dragon Queen. The sharp-eyed Elf Archer Queen, Orimiya. The holy Saintess Somaya. And finally, Grantz the Hammer Wielder, a strong dwarf warrior."
"They were the perfect team—balanced in every way."
Students listened quietly, though some had already started zoning out a little. It had been a long theory session.
When both lectures finally ended, the teacher closed her book with a soft thud and stretched her arms.
"Alright, that’s all for now," she said. "In the next theory class, we’ll talk about rituals and divination. Especially the important rule—’You shall not look directly at a god, either directly or indirectly.’ Don’t forget it."
Just as she finished her sentence, the sound of footsteps echoed from outside.
Everyone turned to look at the door.
A tall shadow appeared, standing at the entrance. It was none other than Lortell Mariette. She was so tall, she had to bend her head down just to peek inside the classroom. Her cold eyes scanned the room, but she didn’t step inside completely.
Even the teacher seemed surprised. She quickly stood up and bowed with respect.
"My lady, why are you here?" she asked politely, lowering her head.
Though the teacher was decades older than Lortell, everyone in the academy knew about Lortell’s status. She was powerful, noble, and someone even the highest teachers didn’t dare question.
Lortell replied calmly but with authority, "I want Esdeath to come with me."
Her voice was firm and commanding, like a queen giving an order.
The students looked at one another, confused. Why would someone so important personally come just to call one student?
The teacher didn’t question anything. She simply nodded and said, "Student Esdeath, please go with Lady Mariette."
Esdeath already knew the reason Lortell was here. Last night, during one of their private, romantic moments, Esdeath had asked Lortell about certain shady or "illegal" places under her control. She said she was curious and wanted to see them herself.
Though Lortell found the request strange, she didn’t ask too many questions. She simply agreed—on the condition that she’d take Esdeath when she had free time. And now, that time had come.
---
A smug smirk curled on Esdeath’s lips. She stood up from her seat gracefully. Every pair of eyes in the classroom turned toward her.
She walked toward Lortell with slow, elegant steps, like a bride walking toward her lover on her wedding day.
The whole class was stunned.
The mood was just like when you’re a kid, and suddenly your parent shows up to pick you up early from school—and everyone else just stares in surprise and whispers.
"Is she getting special treatment...?" someone mumbled.
"She’s married to Lady Mariette, of course she’ll get special treatment" another whispered.
"Lucky..."
As Esdeath reached the door, Lortell stood a bit straighter and moved aside to let her pass.

In a certain area of Faynapotterz, a new tall building had just been completed. It had a unique mix of modern style and fantasy charm. The tall glass windows sparkled in the light, and the designs carved into the walls made it look grand and special.
Behind the building was a large warehouse and production zone, protected tightly by guards and security systems. This place was important.
At the top of the building, a huge sign read, "Esdeath Machinery & Ammunition Limited".
This company was opened by Lortell. It would produce and sell newly made guns from the dwarf kingdom. The building also had practice grounds and trainers to help people learn how to use the weapons, since guns weren’t very common in this era.
Actually the news of this company was already leaked but later the name was changed again after the dwarf kingdom was attacked.
To gain support from other allied kingdoms, many blueprints and rights for ammunition and technology were shared. Because of that, the company’s growth increased even more.
Many branches opened across the kingdom, but the main one was placed here—because Esdeath lived in this area–No other reason needed.
And most importantly, today was the grand opening ceremony. Many people had come to attend. Members from the House of Commons, barons, marquesses, and even big business owners were present. The highest rated management and advertisement workers hired for the company were also there, all standing neatly.
At the entrance stood a ribbon. Everyone was waiting for Lortell to arrive and cut it. Thankfully, since it was rainy season, there was no harsh sunlight, and the weather was cool.
Standing nearby was a blonde girl with pale skin and a mature, beautiful face. She wore a white shirt, a jacket, and a black pencil skirt. Around her neck hung an ID card.
She looked like a perfect office worker or secretary.
But her expression showed worry and stress. She kept checking the time, pacing around.
"It’s already late. When will Lady Mariette arrive? She still has a meeting with the duke... and then the pollution control talk at the House of Commons, and after that—"
She spoke quickly, stressed out, but a man with dark blue hair in a clean black suit stopped her with a hand on her shoulder.
"Relax, Tracy. You’re her secretary, not her mother. Besides, she’s already here."
Tracy turned toward the entrance road and saw a black vintage car driving in.
"Thank God. She’s here!"
Inside the car, Esdeath sat beside Lortell, with Selene on her other side.
Esdeath wore a beautiful, fancy gown. Lortell wore a sharp black suit. Selene had on a cute little frock that matched her bright eyes and soft expression.
But Esdeath had a puzzled look on her face.
"Wait a minute... weren’t we going to some shady, illegal place in the kingdom? Why am I wearing this gown? We’re still on the main road... I can hear clapping?"
She tried to peek outside, but the windows were covered with red curtains and flower decorations, making it hard to see anything clearly.
Then the car stopped.
With a wide grin, Lortell opened the door and stepped out. She turned back and gently held out her hand like a gentleman.
Esdeath blinked in confusion but placed her hand in Lortell’s and stepped out slowly, like a graceful noble lady.
But the moment she looked up, her eyes widened.
Right in front of her stood the tall new building... and on it was her name, written in bold letters. All around her were people staring. Some clapped softly. Others stood still, watching.
There were even photographers, taking pictures. But strangely, no one asked any questions. No loud voices, no crowd rushing forward.
After all, this was a kingdom. Not a democracy. Here, commoners couldn’t just walk up and speak freely to a royal. If someone did something rude, they could be thrown in jail or executed on spot.
Selene came out too and clung to Esdeath’s right arm. Her little eyes sparkled as she looked at all the decorations and people around her. She looked truly amazed.
Lortell finally turned to Esdeath and said with a playful smile, "Surprise~"
Esdeath stared at her, still confused.
"What’s happening?"
"Nothing much," Lortell replied. "I just opened a new company under your name. You’re the special guest here to cut the ribbon and make first entry", freēwēbnovel.com
