The clerk froze upon seeing the gemstone Selena pointed at.
"How did this end up here?!"

Then, with an apologetic look towards Selena, she said, "I apologize, miss. This one hasn’t been polished yet. I’m not sure how it was carelessly placed up here."
Selena shook her head slightly, "No problem, can you tell me its story?"
The clerk smiled and nodded, "Of course."

After finishing her explanation, the clerk glanced at Selena’s expression and noticed she seemed to like the gemstone, so she tentatively asked, "Miss, do you like it?"
Selena nodded, "I want the whole piece."
The clerk appeared a bit troubled, "This one hasn’t been polished yet. If you need it polished and further processed, it’ll require more time. Can you wait, miss?"
Selena paused and asked, "Approximately how long will it take?"

Selena looked in the direction she pointed and saw Sidney Dalton and Catherine Blanchett in the jewelry store.
