Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 114: Amelia’s turn
After around three more rounds, it was finally Amelia’s turn.
Amelia walked to the table, feeling slightly creepy under everyone’s scrutinising gaze.
Clementine raised his brows when he saw her walking there.
While it wasn’t strange for beautiful ladies to come here to accompany the big bosses, as their sex slaves or blood slaves in other species, it was a rare sight for such a young lady to be a lantern to come here to bet.
However, they understood everyone’s wishes and desires, which is why the doors were open to everyone after the age of 16.
"Number 99, who do you want to challenge?" Clementine asked her.
"I would like to challenge Galore." Amelia’s words were clear, with no hesitation in her choice.
Kyle, who had been observing her, realized that she hadn’t just come here because she was intrigued by the gambling environment and wanted to see the place. She had a clear purpose.
Kyle’s pupils dilated before his eyes turned dark. One thing he disliked the most was being kept in the dark by anyone near him. And Amelia just did that.
He took a deep breath.
Galore, who had been enjoying his time with a girl around, looked up when his name was announced.
His brows furrowed. Who the hell was inviting him to that game? While he was quite infamous underground for his slick killing without leaving a trace, he was here just to accompany his boss and have some fun.
He zipped his pants and walked out of the room, descending the stairs and walking to the arena.
He looked around, finally settling on a teenager sitting opposite him at the table, who looked calm and composed.
A competition between a lantern female and a werewolf assassin? It wasn’t worth anyone’s interest.
They looked away, going around with their pleasure.
"You want to challenge me?" Galore asked as he sat in the opposite seat to Amelia.
She didn’t say anything and just nodded at him.
"Okay. What is your bet? I was just here for fun, but who cares if I can have some money?" Galore asked.
He thought the girl was one of those desperate clients who wanted him to kill someone, and in silence, without anyone knowing about it, and didn’t have much money to pay.
Or why did they choose this method to catch his attention?
"I stake 1 million dollars," Amelia said.
Clementine raised his brows.
The girl was definitely strange. Don’t people usually place their bet first before their stake?
Maybe the naive girl didn’t know how to play it. That was what everyone thought.
"And your bet?" Galore asked, sipping a drink that a lady placed beside him.
"Your life," Amelia said.
Galore spat the drink in his mouth and looked at the girl.
Her words caught his attention and the mighty bosses’ attention. After all, people do not come here to bet for life every day.
A few high-ranking subordinates from different species, who were here for fun, leaned back in their positions as they watched the game play.
"My life? You want me to be your pet?" Galore asked with raised brows.
A witch leader scoffed.
It was clear what the girl meant, but the man was too proud to understand that someone would come here and bet his life.
"Your life," Amelia repeated the exact words.
Galore’s expressions darkened at her word, and they started the game.
"Ladies first," he hissed through his teeth, angry at the wishful girl.
Amelia happily took the deck and shuffled it.
She placed the four cards before him and then four cards before herself.
A set of four kings against 2,3,4,5.
Amelia won.
She did it again.
And every time she came out winning.
Since only five rounds were available, and she had already won three times, they didn’t need to play two more rounds.
Galore suddenly panicked. No one has expected the girl to win three times consecutively.
"Want to play three more rounds?" Amelia asked before looking at Clementine.
While it wasn’t in the rule book, it wasn’t against either. Clementine agreed. After all, it was a matter of life.
Galore jumped on the opportunity, too.
This time, he didn’t allow Amelia to shuffle.
He shuffled the cards first himself and placed them.
This time, he suggested a different game.
They would be given three cards, and the one with the highest value wins.
Amelia barely lifted them to glance at them before placing them upside down.
Clementine narrowed his brows.
Galore looked at his subordinate behind Amelia helplessly.
If she placed the cards like that, how was he supposed to see what cards she got?
He placed his seven of spades in front, and Amelia countered with her nine of hearts.
Gorgon trembled.
He placed his King of Hearts this time, and Amelia countered it with her three of hearts.
Gorgon heaved a breath of relief.
Amelia smiled before opening her final card—an ace of diamonds.
Gorgon trembled.
He had the card of the Queen of Hearts.
Amelia won.
Amelia stood from her place.
"About the prize..." Amelia trailed off.
"I would do the honor," a bold and cold voice echoed from the hall, and she turned to her left.
Her gaze met with a man dressed in black, his eyes a dark shade of Amber and red as he walked towards the table.
"Allow me?" He asked.
Everyone gasped.
They wanted to tell her to deny it.
Kyle cursed, not marking her since he couldn’t use the mind link on her without the mark.
This wasn’t just a normal person.
It was a demon. And not just a normal demon. It was a demon lord. Allowing him to kill for her would bind them into a forceful friendship initiated by the lord.
And nothing ever came out of a friendship or animosity with a demon lord.
"I can do it," Amelia smiled.
She removed the sword from the demon lord’s waist and plunged it into Galore’s heart.
Her gaze was dark, cold, unflinching, as the man fell on the ground, blood splurging out from his wound and mouth.
