Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 171: A powerful summoning
In the mountains of the Greenfields, inside a small cabin in the woods, a lady stood before the mirror, her fingers tracing the edge of the stars and bones that decorated the mirror.
She brought her index finger to her lips before biting into it, drawing blood.
"Show yourself," she whispered before placing her blood-dripping finger in the center of the mirror.
She closed her eyes, feeling the wind around her change, burning with an electrostatic force that made her hair rise as the windows opened with brutal force, slamming against the walls, their glass scattering around, an indication of the arrival of power beyond measure.
The mirror that showed the reflection of the lady suddenly glowed black before some smoke appeared on the other side of it.
It looked like the smoke from the burnt candle that had just been put out. It started with a small line before covering the entire mirror, and the lady stepped back, creating space for the hellish creature she had summoned with great faith.
"To what honor did I receive your summoning, mage?" The smoke took on a human form, its face obscured by a hood.
"You must be happy. Everything is working according to your plans. However, I am curious about what plans come forth in your series of haunting adventures," the mage said.
She walked to the pot filled with a weird brown liquid that almost looked like blood turned rusty.
"What are you exactly talking about?" The energy asked with feigned innocence.
"You, out of everyone involved in this little vengeful game of yours, know what I am talking about. The attack, the resurrection, the bond, the blood, the path, and, most importantly, their ties —everything is falling into one place, one by one. Every single piece on your board is moving just like you wanted," the mage said.
"I didn’t know you would be interested in knowing about my plans, not after you told me to go by myself and execute everything on my own," the Dark Energy hissed, roaming around, looking at all the incantations written on the walls.
A mock left the Dark Energy’s mouth.
"What a joke. Do you think this can protect you, Mother?" The Dark Energy asked, its eyes black and hollow, and whispered something dark that was beyond a mortal’s sight.
However, for the mage, she could clearly see what the Dark Energy intended, and she raised her hand towards the walls, causing a golden ink to run across all the incantations written on the wall, thereby activating them.
The Dark Energy smirked before raising its hand in mock surrender.
"What are your plans?" the mage asked, her patience running thin as she needed to be at the mage’s stone for their ritual. It was almost time, but she needed to know the evil plans this Dark Energy had, just to be on the safe side.
"Well, as you can see, with due respect to unholy spirits, the girl has found both of her mates. The cycle has begun," the Dark Energy said before it walked to the photo frame on the shelf.
"It’s time I snatch those mates away from her. There’s nothing more pleasing in this world than giving someone everything she wished for and then snatching it brutally." The Dark Energy chuckled darkly.
"The Grims must know they are no match for me, never have been, and never will be. This is the third and last time I’ll kill their daughter once and for all. Thus, making my name in history and rising above the moon goddess herself. That pitiful false goddess would be under my foot."
The Dark Energy mocked the photo of the moon on the wall and then looked at the mage before raising its hand towards the wall.
"I challenge you to save your daughter from my wrath, you false goddess. Or else I’ll bathe in her blood soon. Let’s see if you can do what you couldn’t for all these years! Aaaa!" The Dark Energy screamed, crumpling the walls around the cabin, laying the interior bare to the woods.
The mage closed her eyes, jerking in her place in shock and a little fear. She couldn’t believe that she gave birth to this Dark Energy that was now against the entire supernatural kind. Fear ran in her veins as she prayed to the moon goddess to show her some mercy.
With a scoff, it turned to the mirror that should’ve been intact for it to leave. It was broken into more than a thousand shards, beyond resurrection, just like how it intended to break Amelia Grims, beyond rebirth, beyond coming back.
"Let it be my warning to you, Mother. Don’t you dare run your mouth to Adolphus, to Scarlet, and definitely not to Amelia. You wouldn’t want to see the aftermath. Keep praying, if it brings you peace. You’ll need a lot of it." The Dark Energy vanished into thin air.
At the same time, Amelia, who was in the car with Cyrus and Kyle, felt a creep run down her spine as she heard a strange hiss in her ears.
"Are you ready for the challenge, Amelia?" The hiss asked.
Amelia’s throat burned a little, almost as if someone was choking her, before the strain vanished completely.
"Did you hear it?" Amelia asked.
Cyrus and Kyle looked at her with expressions that were strange.
"Heard what, sweetheart?" Kyle asked.
Amelia looked at their confused expressions and shook her head.
"It’s nothing. Just my mind playing tricks," Amelia said, smiling forcefully.
Fabian looked at his king and didn’t know what to say or feel at the moment.
Why was this man with no scent, of unknown means and origin, in their car with them? And why the hell was their king not saying anything, even when the man practically called their princess ’his sweetheart’?
What was happening?
He was beyond confused.
However, he also knew now wasn’t the time for these things. Right now, they needed to rush to the Moon Valley hospital as soon as possible and see if Grayson was alright.
And what was more important was finding out who dared to attack the former Alpha King in the first place.
At the same time, Hannah called her mother, her expression troubled.
"What is it, my love? Is something troubling you? Are you scared of the Queen’s trials? Having second thoughts about this?" Jessica asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.
Hannah looked at the journal in her hand, the tip of her pen resting at the last word that she wrote, as she remembered something.
"I am not troubled by the trials, Mom. Not by a long shot. What I am worried about is how to execute our plans. This is a perfect opportunity for everything, but as I was going through my strategies, I just remembered something," Hannah said.
She stopped talking when she felt the wind moving around her, and her brows furrowed.
Hannah turned towards the balcony, confused.
She was sure that she had closed the door so no one would hear her talk to her mother about her plans of killing Amelia.
Then how come it is open now?
"Hannah? Are you there?" Jessica said on the phone, and Hannah hummed in response.
"Hold on a second, Mom. Let me close the doors and windows." Hannah placed the phone on the bed before walking to the balcony.
She slid the glass doors before drawing the blinds.
"Hannah," she heard a chilly whisper in her ears, making her turn around, surprised.
However, there was no one behind her. Hannah moved the curtains, but there was no one, not even a scent that she could recognize or suspect.
It must be her brain tricking her. She told herself before walking to the bed.
"Hannah, is everything alright there?" Jessica asked.
"Yes, Mom. Everything is alright here. So what I was talking about was... yes, the will, Mother," Hannah said, feeling annoyed.
"Even if we try to kill Amelia at the queen trials to remove any suspicion, what about the will? Didn’t that wicked Scarlett hide it somewhere with the knowledge hidden from Amelia only? Who will give her that? Shouldn’t we wait until then? She turned eighteen today," Hannah said.
Jessica smiled at her daughter’s words before shaking her head.
"I know that the will is essential to be presented to the healer’s council, the wolf’s council, along with the royalty to gain ownership of the healers’ community, but if the successor is already dead, the ownership falls to the first deserving candidate through voting.
And I think your father will definitely win that—no need to worry. Just carry out what you are there to do," Jessica said.
"Well, that’s a relief. I just remembered everything and—" Hannah started but stopped talking when she felt cold winds brushing her hair, making her turn around in surprise that turned to shock and a mixture of fear.
The balcony door. It was open. Again. But how?
Hannah stood from the bed and walked to the balcony door to close it again for the third time.
"Hannah, are you there? What’s wrong? Hello?" Jessica’s voice echoed through the other side.
Hannah looked around, and when she didn’t find anyone, she sighed, calming slightly.
However, as soon as she turned around to return to the bed after closing the door, she felt someone placing a hand on her shoulders.
"Die Höllengrube ruft dich."
Those were the last words she heard before losing consciousness.
