Chapter 956 -950: Building Blocks_1
Only after helping them board the train did Xiao Qi drive home, while Chu Molin had purchased sleeper berths, thus, it wasn’t crowded.
Chu Molin helped the children settle down on the lower bunks and asked Qin Xue to look after them whilst he gathered up their other luggage.
“Chu Molin, have you sent a telegram to my parents?” Qin Xue remembered he had mentioned he would send a telegram home.
“I have, don’t worry.” Chu Molin replied, sitting down and playing with blocks with Yu Chen and the two children, replying to Qin Xue’s question.
“That’s good, I wonder what their reaction would be when they find out we’re coming home for New Year?” Qin Xue wondered out loud.
“What are your feelings?” Chu Molin asked Qin Xue.
“Excited, happy.” Qin Xue responded without much thought.
“Then their feelings will be even more excited and more joyful than yours.” After saying this, Chu Molin went back to playing with the children, picking up a building block and placing it on another one.
Both Jingtao and Yu Ze watched Chu Molin, unsure as to why he put the block on that particular one. Wouldn’t it be better to place it elsewhere?

“If you put it here, you can place even more on top. However, if you put it there, this piece may fit better, but if any others are added, it will likely topple over.”
Both children incomprehensibly nodded their heads. In his previous life, Yu Ze had never played with these types of blocks, so he did not understand whether Chu Molin’s approach was correct and simply stood by watching.
Jingtao followed Chu Molin’s actions after seeing them. Chu Molin observed the children and smiled, pleased that they were beginning to think critically and consider their actions carefully.
“Have you memorized how this structure was built?” Chu Molin asked Yu Ze and Jingtao.
“Hmm.” Jingtao replied, while Yu Ze, who couldn’t speak yet, simply nodded in response.
“Now, one of you is to place that block we just discussed wherever you think it’ll fit best, then keep building. Afterwards, the other one can proceed with the same method.” Chu Molin took off the key block they had just discussed, laid it in front of them, and waited to see which one would be the first to attempt to place it back.
The two boys looked at each other, and eventually, it was Jingtao who reached out first to place the block where he had originally intended. The block sat squarely in its place, and Jingtao laughed happily after seeing it stay.
“Keep placing the blocks the way you had imagined.” Chu Molin instructed Jingtao to preserve his block arrangement, eager to see how the children would react to the situation.
Listening to him, Jingtao added another block, which also ended up stable. After doing this successfully, he looked at Chu Molin but didn’t say anything.
Chu Molin watched them silently. Seeing this, Jingtao continued to put more blocks up. However, after only placing two blocks, it toppled over, leaving Jingtao disheartened.
“Reconstruct it the way I previously showed you.” Chu Molin didn’t reprimand them nor did he show any emotion, he simply calmly repeated his previous instructions.
Yu Ze was the first to get working, and seeing him calmly rebuild the tower, Jingtao also started to help. Once they rebuilt the previous structure, Chu Molin put the vital block in front of them again. Without waiting for Chu Molin’s instructions this time, Yu Ze picked it up and placed it in alignment with his own plans. But he didn’t place that many more blocks than Jingtao, just two more, before the tower collapsed yet again.
However, having witnessed Jingtao’s initial trial, they both kept their composure this time around.
