Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan-Chapter 1892 - 1415: Decision
Li Zhirui’s intuition was correct. After capturing several individuals from another Minor Thousand World who had traveled across it, the Saints from the Confucian, Mo Family, Legalist, and School of Names returned to their respective Holy Land at the fastest possible speed!
Once they settled down, they began interrogating those individuals, using methods far gentler than the crude treatment Li Zhirui had initially given to the first Devil Beast. After all, the value of these people was much greater.
"Where did you come from? How did you traverse the space?"
Under a certain Enchanting Secret Technique, the five individuals revealed everything they knew without any reservation.
Thus, these four schools quickly learned that the Secret Technique for traversing worlds was actually developed by two Tribulation-Transcending cultivators, based on some ideas from their predecessors.
"Do you have mastery over this Secret Technique?"
"Only most of it, but the crucial part is only known to the master-disciple duo."
Upon hearing this, the expressions of those present immediately turned grim.
Originally, they thought it was an accident, but now it seems it was a deliberately manufactured result, and those who held the Methods were not in their hands!
It was also clear that the Methods were backed by enormous benefits.
Even though the relationship between Human Dao and Immortal Dao had eased considerably, it did not mean they had become friends; there were still many conflicts.
Moreover, no matter how you look at it, the increased strength of the Immortal Dao was definitely not a good thing for them.
"We need a two-pronged approach for this matter!"
A certain Confucian Saint spoke deeply: "One side is to discuss with the Mo Family, Legalist faction, and School of Names whether we can join forces and combine our power to quickly perfect this Methods; the other is to find ways to intercept that Heavenly Immortal Cultivator and prevent him from leaving the Southern Domain."
Though their relationship with Mo Family and Legalists was not great, this matter concerned the interests of everyone, and perhaps the entire human race, so these two families would likely abandon some of their previous minor conflicts.
As for the School of Names, the two schools were relatively close, and since the School of Names was relatively weak, it shouldn’t refuse the suggestion to join forces.
"Exactly!"
"Good! I’ll contact Mo Family, Legalists, and School of Names immediately."
"I will issue orders for all Confucian disciples across the land to enforce strict measures and simultaneously search every cultivator."
The Confucian Saints immediately took action, leaving behind two individuals to obtain the incomplete Secret Technique of world traversal from the mouths of the two captured Outer Realm cultivators.
Just as they anticipated, once the proposal for a joint study and perfection of the Secret Technique was put forward, Mo Family, Legalists, and School of Names did not refuse. They also decided to place the research site at the core area of the School of Names.
Because the School of Names was the weakest, the other three schools did not fear any ulterior motives once the results were out.
Furthermore, upon learning about the actions of the Confucians, they also ordered their disciples across the regions to keep a close eye on every Immortal Dao cultivator.
At the first sign of anything unusual, they could directly detain them, and they would provide explanations to the local Monarch or Emperor later.
Meanwhile, Li Zhirui, who was sprinting along frantically, naturally did not know the extent to which these four schools were searching for him, which had reached an exceedingly exaggerated level, even infringing upon the domain of a nation’s ruler.
Despite being unaware of this, he completely seized the best opportunity to escape over the past day or two.
In a matter of just over ten hours, he sped over hundreds of thousands of miles, moving from the south of Human Dao straight to the middle-northern regions.
Along the way, when tired, or facing issues such as mana depletion or excessive spiritual soul exhaustion, he did not stop even for a moment, relying entirely on Pills and Spiritual Objects to push himself to maintain this condition. All to get as close to the East Continent as possible before Human Dao realized his escape.
If he maintained this speed, within another day, Li Zhirui could escape the Southern Domain and return to the territory of the Immortal Dao—the East Continent!
But it was this final part of his journey that made his progress almost impossible.
"Human Dao has already responded and placed strict checkpoints at every crucial passage." Li Zhirui gazed afar at the checkpoints already shrouded by a powerful Daoist magic network, his expression darkened.
This situation was not unique to here; similar means were implemented at major thoroughfares everywhere!
Additionally, even small towns of various kingdoms displayed wanted posters, all meant to prevent him from leaving the Southern Domain and capture the two Outer Realm cultivators he had.
Li Zhirui was now considering how to respond to the current situation, whether to find a way around to the South Sea or to Demonic Tao West Continent before returning to East Continent; or perhaps just hide in space, where after staying for some time, Human Dao would eventually revoke these strict high-profile Restrictions.
After all, the means were impressive but the consumption was equally so, making it impossible to maintain for long periods.
After some contemplation, he made up his mind: better to not exert himself, simply enter space for some time, and take advantage of the period to study the Methods created by the two Outer Realm cultivators.
The moment he made his decision, he disappeared completely from the spot without leaving a trace.
Meanwhile, Human Dao cultivators were naturally unaware that Li Zhirui had such means, and despite intensive searches even digging deep into the earth, not a sign of him was found, as if the cultivator never existed and was but a fabricated lie.
Gradually, as time passed and still no clues were found, Human Dao finally gave up at various checkpoints, retrieving most of the deployed Daoist magic networks.
