Regressor Instruction Manual-Chapter 1132: Impact (1)
Chapter 1132: Impact (1)
Like our continent, the Rohen Continent's waters were muddy and deep; there were many vested interests to consider, such as businesses and dungeon expeditions.
Small familias need not worry about many things, but major familias were different.
The small familias only had to worry about obtaining supplies and some specific items, but the major familias had to spend a lot of money and manpower for a single expedition.
With that in mind, they had to be deeply involved in businesses to obtain some funds.
In addition, most familias had created strategic alliances to maintain and protect their businesses.
Sending reinforces to isolated familias and watching the familias leave for an expedition was something we often did on our continent as well. The Blue Guild was in an alliance with the Red Mercenary Guild and the Black Swan Guild.
The only difference between us and them was that they had another reason behind why they had decided to create an alliance. The familias had formed an alliance because their GENIUSES were close.
Even if the familias didn’t get along or had different plans, they were forced to enter an alliance because that was what their GENIUSES had chosen to do.
They were in that kind of situation.
The five major familias were allied with the Flower and Fertility Familia, and they gathered in Scandia, their base.
It wasn’t just the major familias. I didn’t know their names, but I saw representatives of mid-sized familias as well. The leaders of the major familias were on a level slightly lower than the old Eight Seats, and although they appeared to be weaker than Cheon Kwan-Wi and Yu Ran, they looked fancier than them.
‘They spent a lot of money.’
The room was too fancy to call it a simple meeting room.
It was like I was looking at a prayer room in the Vatican. Every face in this room looked proud, and it was probably because they were the top players on the Rohen Continent.
The adjutants who had come here with the leaders of the familias were standing behind their respective leaders while exuding a menacing aura. Thanks to their demeanor, the meeting was pretty tense.
‘They all think they’re the best.’
It was pretty different from the meetings held in Lindel, which were always filled with laughter.
“The Guardian of Fate and Time Familia is already preparing for the expedition.”
“They’re moving as if they had expected this to happen. Are you sure we didn’t get any information about this mainstream event?”
“Nothing was announced. According to the rumors, no information was released, but…”
“How can we trust the words of those cunning bastards?”
“I don’t think it really matters whether they had prior information or not. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they have the advantage. The mainstream event started not too long ago as well.”
“I think we should start the briefing rather than continue this meaningless discussion. I’m sure everyone is aware of this incident, but…”
Obviously, the Flower and Fertility Familia was the leader of the meeting.
“I’m Emilia of the Flower and Fertility Familia. As all of you are already aware, the Demon King of Sunset mainstream event started today at 5:45 PM.
"It occurred in the entire eastern region… and we believe the eastern region has been completely paralyzed. Right after the mainstream began, we lost connection with the familias and major cities that are using the eastern region as their base…” Emilia paused.
“...”
“In addition, the rangers who left to find out what happened to those familias have all gone missing as well. We are unable to confirm what’s happening in the eastern region, but I know that the King of the Underground Familia and the Guardian of Fate and Time Familia are attempting to enter the dungeon,” Emilia added.
“How ridiculous.”
“Other powerful familias are gathering there as well. They’ve either been hired by the two familias or have established an alliance with each other.”
‘The information isn’t even that important.’
One could easily make such a deduction without actually being there.
Basically, Emilia spent five minutes explaining Rohen's situation and another five minutes explaining that they couldn’t find any information about the mainstream event. It was pretty boring, but they had to have thought that this was important because I saw people listening to her.
“Can I ask a question?”
“Go ahead,” Emilia answered.
“What about the Demon King of Sunset? Did you not get any information from the Goddess of Flower and Fertility?”
“The Goddess of Flower and Fertility is careful of what she says… but one thing we’re sure of is that the Demon King of Sunset wasn’t originally part of the 72 Legions. After annihilating Marthym, the Commander of the 21st Legion, he took their spot and became a great demon lord,” Emilia answered.
“We’re already aware of that.”
“We don’t know why he’s here… but it can’t be for anything good. If his goal were to gain power, then he wouldn’t have gone this far just to descend here. We believe he has some kind of purpose for coming here,” Emilia added.
‘That’s such an obvious answer.’
It was clear that they were lacking information, but one thing I was able to figure out through this meeting was that the Flower and Fertility Familia had more influence than I thought.
“I would like to ask a question as well.”
“Yes, Miss Francoise?”
“I want to know why an outsider was invited to this meeting…” Francoise asked.
‘I was waiting for someone to ask. This is embarrassing.’

Her question made everyone look at me. I wasn’t part of the Flower and Fertility Familia, and I was a rookie who had just created a small party in Harizel, so why was I here?
Why did William bring me here? Of course, I was sure they had heard of my name at the very least.
“I didn’t think you would bring the genius who caused a commotion in Rohen to this meaningless meeting…” Francoise commented.
“Before I answer your question, there’s one thing I would like to say, and it’s that Mr. Lee Ki-Young isn’t an outsider. He is located in Harizel at the moment, but he serves the Goddess of Flower and Fertility, so technically, he’s a member of our familia. Please keep that in mind and show respect to Mr. Lee Ki-Young,” William explained.
‘Just as I expected, he has some real backbone.’
Francoise, who called me an outsider, nodded quietly, signaling that she understood what William was saying.
“I was being rude. Will you accept my apology?” Francoise asked.
I wasn’t really offended, but I started taking an interest in her.
“Hmm…”
Unlike that extra over there who was sizing me up from top to bottom.
“Of course, I’ve heard of the genius commander. I remember him causing quite the commotion on the continent last week… I even saw that mock battle. I was pretty impressed,” Francoise said.
“...”
“I'm curious about… your insight into the battlefield, your performance that seemed like you were trying to show off, the things that are in your mind, and if you’re even a human being. Do you have a map in your head? Or do you have eyes that can oversee the battlefield? Ah! You don’t have to answer. I already know you’re competent,” Francoise said.
“...”
“But William. This incident and your guest being a competent player are two different things. We can’t entrust the fate of the alliance to a rookie. Do you understand what I’m saying? Of course, this isn't a bad idea for his debut as an adjutant…” Francoise explained.
‘Do I have to debut as an adjutant? I’m not the type to debut as an adjutant, damn it.’
“But he doesn’t seem good enough for us to trust him with something like this,” Francoise continued.
‘What the hell? I don’t want to carry you guys either.’
Debuting as someone’s adjutant was ridiculous, and I obviously had no intention of cleaning up after anyone.
“It’s nothing like that. The reason I invited him here is…” William paused.
“...”
Was it my turn now?
“To stop all of you,” I said.
The room immediately became quiet. William and Emilia also looked around quietly. I already said what was on my mind, but they probably hadn't expected me to be so blunt about it.
“This expedition is doomed to fail,” I added.
“...”
“The King of the Underground Familia and the Guardian of Fate and Time Familia will be defeated, and only a few survivors will return. If there are survivors, it'd be a miracle.
"I’m sure all of you are aware that the Rohen Continent is in a state of panic because of the sudden mainstream event. To prepare for the unexpected expedition, the major familias are using as much money as they can, but supplies are still running low.
"This is likely temporary,” I explained.
“...”
“I guarantee that once the first victim appears, things will quiet down as if none of this has ever happened,” I added.
“He must be a prophet, not a genius," an insignificant extra joked, and someone chuckled.
“The average level here is Level 5, correct? The adjustants of mid-sized guilds seem to be above Level 4… but I believe the demon lords are at least Level 7, even with the penalty they would receive upon descending here. The adjutants under them are at least Level 6. For those of you who don’t know how powerful a Level 7 is…” I paused.
“...”
“If the GENIUSES descend to the real world, they’ll be Level 7. The difference isn’t just what’s visible to the naked eye. The unseen difference is even greater,” I continued.
“...”
“The reason we must minimize the first wave of casualties is that the demon lords need sacrifices to maintain their form here. It’ll probably be easier to understand if I say that they need humans in the eastern region to recharge the mana that’s necessary to maintain their summons,” I added.
“...”
“The enemies can expand their area of influence through sacrifices. It's only the eastern region at the moment, but the more casualties there are, the bigger the area the grayish sunset will cover. The Demon King of Sunset is injured, but the fact that no troops are defending against the enemy suggests that it’s likely a trap,” I explained.
“...”
“...”
“Where did you get all that information from?” Francoise asked.
“From a book,” I answered.
I couldn’t tell them that I was close to the Demon King of Sunset, so I brought dozens of thick books for proof. There were books written by black mages, and books that were related to the demon summoning incident that actually happened in Rohen in the past.
“Does that book say that the demon lords’ levels are Level 7?” Francoise asked.
“Of course not. I simply interpreted it on my own based on the information written in the books… and to be honest, I think they’re higher than Level 7. The commander who was summoned here before was rank 58 among the legions,” I answered.
The room became quiet.
Just as I questioned whether they were going to take me seriously or not, the insignificant extra from earlier laughed. “Haha.”
He was being rude, but…
‘That asshole…’
What was even ruder was what happened afterward.
“Looks like the genius commander is planning on learning about the Rohen Continent through books.”
I heard them laughing again.
‘Wow, these jerks…’
“Hahahaha.”
“Hahaha!”
“You’re going too far with your jokes! Hahahaha!”
“Hahahahahahaha!”
I immediately realized that they were treating me like a child ignorant about the world.
