A carriage was slowly moving past deep forest; the carriage driver was a beautiful woman with light green hair.

The sun was out, and Lexus was sleeping inside the carriage while Isabella was on duty to drive it.

Isabella was feeling fine this morning, although life on the road is tough; she felt happy spending time alone with Lexus.

Lexus, on the other hand, just can't fall asleep with the tremendous shaking inside the carriage; this carriage didn't even have springs or shock absorbers.

"Fuck, this'll make me lose my mind." Lexus grabbed his hair and felt angry at himself.

"Isabella, stop the carriage," Lexus said a little loudly. Soon the carriage came to a halt. Lexus came out of the carriage with droopy eyes and disheveled clothes.

"What's the matter?" Isabella asked; she also came down from her driver's seat to check on Lexus.

"I can't sleep on a moving, uncomfortable carriage. Can't we camp?" Lexus asked, as he was really sleepy, and this carriage is the worst place to sleep.

"We can, but it'll decrease our traveling speed, so I have a suggestion." Isabella nodded her head and wanted to give a suggestion.

"Yes, tell me your suggestion," Lexus asked; he was open to any suggestions as long as he could sleep.

"We'll camp when it's your turn to sleep; I can sleep just fine in a moving carriage," Isabella said, and then she looked around; the area they were in was full of trees and too open.

"Let's pick a good spot for camping; it's too open," Isabella said while grabbing Lex's hand and pulling him to the driver's seat together with her.

"Alright, yesterday was pretty wild. I am usually not this tired, but that dragon was very powerful," Lexus said while sitting beside Isabella. He was just looking ahead with his eyes that have dark circles around them.

"I know. Don't be grumpy now. We're going to find the best camp for you to sleep," Isabella said. The carriage drove forward with speed.

"There, it's a small hill and blocked by the bigger hill nearby. You just have to look to one side." Lexus pointed at a direction that was higher ground and perfect for making a camp.

"Oh! Efficient, nice work," Isabella complimented Lexus, and then she stopped the carriage, and both of them jumped down from the carriage.

Then they slowly took the horses by their reins and parked them near the hill and hid them well.

They were powerful enough to defend themselves, but the hassle of dealing with a poor enemy is worthless.

Isabella brought out a small tent, which also had two pillows in it. Lexus slept peacefully, and Isabella kept watch, sitting beside sleeping Lexus.

As Lexus woke up from his deep slumber, the sun was setting on the horizon. Sitting on a hill with a vast forest in front of him, he was witnessing a view people would die for.

"You woke up; it's time to move then," Isabella said while smiling at Lexus sweetly.

Lexus, nodding his head, grabbed some food before packing up and leaving the temporary camp they were in.

Like this, 11 weeks went by. They traveled far and faced some low-level bandit attacks, which only brought them supplies in return.

As Isabella and Lexus were seated in the driver's seat, soon they saw a huge wall, and then people were queuing with their carriages.

"Alright, that's the city called Kolar. Here, put this thing inside your ring." Isabella gave the gold box to Lexus, which was inside the carriage all this time.

"Give me the reins," Lexus said, then pushed his carriage through the huge queue and went to the left gate, which was bigger but empty.

"This is a VIP gate, you moron," Isabella said with a panicked voice.

"I know, I'll use my trick," Lexus said, then drove forward like it was nothing.

"HALT!" a huge armored man stopped Lex's advance any further as he was about to cross the gate.

Lexus slowed down and then stopped the carriage perfectly. In front of the guard, the guard looked at Lexus with suspicion.

"Well, mate, I am in a hurry; you don't mind, do you?" Lexus smiled, then pulled out a pouch.

*Cling* Cling*

A bag full of silver, Lexus has thousands of silver coins in his purple-colored ring.

The guard looked angry at first, then another guard came in; he was also huge and had a sword at his waist.

"What's the situation? Are you bribing us?" The new officer asked playfully; he then pulled out his sword.

"N...no, no, no, my mistake, hehe." Lexus pulled back the silver pouch and laughed fakely.

Then 8 more soldiers came in, wearing the same yellow coat of arms and armor; there's one who looked imposing.

"Captain, this chap here wanted to bribe us." The first officer ran to the imposing-looking person and complained.

"Oh? You dare? Don't you know this is the VIP gate, and a peasant like you dares to enter from here?" The captain yelled at Lexus, who was grinning while scratching his head.

"N...no, I wouldn't dare. It's just that I and my wife wanted to see the imperial capital so bad. Sorry if I've offended you," Lexus said. Isabella just rolled her eyes.

"I'll give 1 gold to enter the city," Lexus, while smiling, said an unbelievable thing.

Hearing gold, every guard's ear perked up; even the captain looked almost moved, but the strictness soon returned before he could say anything.

"Two... I'll give you two gold," Lexus said casually; the guards were discussing among themselves, hearing the tempting offer.

But the captain looked unmoved; he just took a deep breath, as his salary was 1 gold per month, so he could still refuse.

"Oh? You guys are unmovable like a mountain, 2 gold per person, still no go, huh?" Lexus looked at the team and nodded with surprise.

"Per person? Two gold? " The captain was shocked to hear such a thing; including him, there are ten guards, and this young boy was offering twenty gold coins?

"Yeah, I guess it's not enough. I'll give you The Captain Five Gold's while the rest of you each get 2. How about that?" Lexus pulled out an old purse, that had about 23 gold coins he looted near his duchy and smiled.
