Chapter 672: Chapter 672: You’re An Immortal!

Unnamed planet.

The clouds have been parted into sparse shapes and sizes, blanketing the sky that was no longer as clear as it used to be.

The flashes of hot and cold light filled the sky. These flashes were bright enough to make the sun look dark in comparison.

The invasion of the link hegemony had been going on for close to an hour now and it didn’t even seem like the hyenas could actively resist what was happening.

These hyenas were fierce and some of the most vicious hunters of the universe. Many even thought that there used to be some ancient rivalry between the lions and the hyenas at some point.

But the lions knew to themselves that no matter how strong the hyenas could have been in history, there was no way their ancestors could have considered these dog-faced jokers as rivals.

The hyenas, at best, were a nuisance that had to be neutralized with heavy-handed methods.

Even with the addition of Shuri boosting the morale of the entire race across the globe, it didn’t really change anything at all.

Down below, with the battle raging around them, Memphis and her enemies seemed to exist in a world of their own.

Memphis was standing still with her arms behind her back. Her black dress fluttered beautifully in the hot wind that blew from every angle.

She was surrounded.

A large three-meter-tall female Hyena stood in front of her, it was Shuri in her true form.

This large hyena had a section of her upper snout bleeding profusely and it was bent at an angle that made one wonder how she was comfortable closing and opening that mouth.

Some of her fangs were missing, clearly removed by blunt force.

On Memphis’s right was a giant fish creature. It had a streamlined body like a knife-shaped torpedo with fish fins.

In front of its head was a very long blade extending from its nose area, not that fish had noses in the first place.

This long blade was thin and shone with a transparent glimmer of purple and silver. This was the swordfish form of Ren.

And behind Memphis was a horse that looked like it was just a few steps away from death.

Tall and majestic like the governor he was. He had a flowing black mane with grey inlays that grew out from the top of his head down the back of his neck.

He would have looked very magnificent if not for the fact that he was missing one of his front legs.

The Horse Governor looked down at the spot where his lost limb was supposed to be, feeling devastated.

This was the punishment he got for interfering in the invasion process.

Memphis made it clear that because all three of them were the strongest on the planet, they had to focus on her. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

They had been confident that with their combined strength, they wouldn’t need to fear any Invasion as they could easily dispose of most enemies.

It wasn’t like tier 6 entities were so common that they would be dispatched randomly.

Unfortunately, they never expected that Memphis would show up.

Up till now they still didn’t know how strong Memphis was. All they knew was that Memphis was very strong.

They would never have believed that they were fighting an immortal at the moment.

"Oh," Memphis suddenly exclaimed as she sensed something, "It seems your cavalry has arrived?"

After saying this, Memphis looked up to see a beam of darkness rushing toward her from the sky.

The sky which had been engulfed in the light of the many cannon beams flying around was suddenly thrust into a darker hue.

Memphis’s smile widened. Her green eyes shrank and expanded in an instant, absorbing all the light and information that allowed her to easily see what was coming to her.

*BOOM!*

The ball of darkness crashed down as soon as it was discovered, crushing down on Memphis.

The others had already shifted away with hundreds of floating swords starting to appear around Ren as he prepared himself to support.

Alas, this rushing ball of darkness did nothing to ease his anxiety.

Standing there as if nothing had happened was Memphis with her hand stretched out.

The ball of darkness was right above her, floating a few inches from her index finger.

The ground beneath her cracked under the pressure of the massive ball of darkness but Memphis remained unmoved.

The ball of darkness was trapped in its own time bubble.

For a few seconds, Memphis just looked into the ball of darkness, over the creature that was inside it.

"You are not a dragon..." Memphis said calmly, then waved her hand.

The time bubble, along with the ball of darkness was flying away like a piece of trash.

Memphis disappeared.

*BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!*

Ren crashed through the ground and trees, smashing his fish body into the many war machines and hyenas that were in his way.

He had already flown a few hundred kilometers before he started feeling the soreness in his body.

All the floating swords were shattered before they could be used.

"Aargh!" Ren screamed telepathically. This time, he felt that he would not be able to get back in to fight again.

The attack Memphis had delivered was so devastating that most of his body just stopped working.

He was not the only one who received this series of high-speed and heavy attacks.

Shuri was smashed into the ground by a hundred consecutive punches and kicks. Memphis made sure that the Primordial Hyenas were completely incapable of getting back up before leaving her.

The only person who was left was the three-legged horse governor.

Meanwhile, the ball of darkness that had been flung away stopped mid-air and dispersed, revealing a humanoid figure to the world.

Two black cat ears on his patch of short black hair, the clean fair face of a young man.

He wore a simple black jacket with black trousers to match. He would be considered a textbook goth guy in Earth culture and archetypes.

Currently, this cat man was frowning seriously and looking at Memphis with a skeptical gaze.

His aura showed that he was tier 7 equivalent and a very powerful one at that.

His power type was not very common amongst the creatures of the universe.

Darkness.

The Darkness Catheart.

Very few creatures actually possessed the power of darkness like the cats and their more mysterious cousins, the Panthers.

Compared to the lions who had about eighteen different Lionhearts among their race, the cats had much fewer numbers but they were less common.

When coming here, he expected that his sudden attack would catch this enemy by surprise and give him some kind of advantage.

He never expected that Memphis would test him as if he were a fly, swatted away like his power was nothing.

Was Memphis supposed to be tier 7? That was the information he was giving before coming here through a heavenly gate.

Even if Memphis was a time lioness and could create time bubbles, it was going to be significantly difficult for her to hold a tier 7 entity like him in a time bubble without him fighting back.

But back then, the cat man had felt himself being inside a time bubble, but he had no way of resisting. It was like he was eternally trapped in that state of being a darkness ball.

It was so scary.

"You’re not tier 7," The cat man said, his voice deeper than what anyone would expect with how small-ish his body was compared to others.

Memphis floated off the ground, "And you’re not the best thing to be sent here.

Is this it?" Memphis asked, "Is this the trump card that gives you all the guts to not fear our actions?

An alliance with the cats?"

The cat man frowned, "You’re an immortal," He muttered. He didn’t respond to what Memphis was saying as all the alarm bells in his head were ringing to alert him of danger.

’This was not a tier 7 Lioness, this was definitely not a tier 7 Lioness,’ The cat man exclaimed in his mind.

How could he not tell? His elder brother was an Immortal Primordial, and his father was also an Immortal.

He had grown up amongst immortals and was very familiar with that mysterious aura that they all had.

He was sure that this Memphis was an Immortal, he was very sure.

Memphis smiled at the revelation, the light of a red cannon blast flashed above, lighting up her face.

"So?" She wondered out loud. In her mind, she was hoping that the alliance with the cats was not just for show and that the dragons would send something actually worth testing her full might against.

Unbeknownst to her, this cat man had already called his brother in panic. He was not going to wait until he was beaten back and blue before calling for help.

Fight an immortal on his own? What madness was that?

But the main question he had in his mind was: ’Since when did the lion civilization have an immortal?’
