Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 680: Forbidden Lionhearts
"Hmmm," Memphis’s face remained calm but her expression didn’t match the turmoil going on in Kael’s mind.
Very few things could move Kael’s thoughts and still leave him confused and unable to think of a decision.
The mention of the Highest Will was one of those very few things.
The highest will.
The reason for his existence.
"You know the highest will?" Memphis asked.
"Yes and no," Emperor Zain replied.
And Kael instantly understood.
"There is no knowing when it comes to the Highest Will as it is not a personality that can be known.
It is not even a personality.
It just is.
It was.
And it will be.
The highest will is tied to the universe in some sort of way that we can’t understand.
Some say the universe came from the Highest Will.
Some say that the Highest Will came from the universe.
Some even say that the Highest Will IS the universe.
Who knows.
The Highest Will takes on different forms depending on what it wants to do.
So, no one can really tell what the Highest Will looks like.
No one knows the true intentions of the Highest Will, why it made those rules, or why it even cares.
Since the Highest Will is inseparable from the universe, we tend to assume that the Highest Will wants what’s best for the universe.
But some findings could prove otherwise.
But alas, there is nothing to actually prove when it comes to the Highest Will.
It doesn’t leave behind any actual evidence of its presence.
Only those who have come across it can testify to its existence. That is if they were favored.
Those that offended it in some way? Let’s say that we will never know what happened to them as all of them have probably been wiped clean from existence. Even the memories of such individuals could be extinct from the minds of every creature in the universe.
Once in a while, someone will come across a creature that exists but cannot be acknowledged to exist, nor can any memory of them be kept.
The Highest Will is powerful, that is a fact that cannot be denied.
Have you had an encounter with the Highest Will?"
At the last question, Memphis shook her head, "Not really. I’ve only heard about him," she said.
Emperor Zain sighed, "The Highest Will is not a him. But those who have encountered him tend to assume it had a gender based on how it appeared to them.
So, I am guessing that you have met it, or should I say, him."
Memphis did not answer.
When Kael had first been given the memories and Primordial inheritance, he had met the Highest Will.
The Highest Will had taken the form of a lion cub to interact with Kael, a male lion cub.
Indeed, Kael had always been under the subconscious assumption that the Highest Will was a male.
"Where is the Original Heaven located, and this one called Seth, is he bad news?" Memphis asked, changing the question.
This gave Emperor Zain all the answers he needed, but since Memphis did not accept it or deny it, he didn’t press forward on his conjecture.
"There is a portal gate at the center of the Known Universe. It seems like a black hole to anyone who isn’t knowledgeable.
But that is just the single and only entrance to the Original Heaven.
Remember that I said that everyone can enter but not just anyone can come out.
To come out, not only does it have to be at the right time, but you also have to be an immortal.
Everyone who has ever come out of the Original Heaven was always an immortal, including me."
Memphis nodded.
"Oh," Emperor Zain continued, "And the one called Seth is indeed very dangerous.
Don’t let his appearance or power level fool you. He has a very strong backing from the House of Luthor which is the strongest cat faction in the whole universe at the moment.
His father is the leader of the House of Luthor. Not only that, but he is also a council member of the Council of Ancient Felines.
So technically, your enemies are from the Ancient Felines, not just the cats.
The cats are just the first to show up...for now.
If you ask me, you are genuinely fucked, hehehehe..."
Emperor Zain relished in the twisted joy, knowing that the person responsible for making him sacrifice his disciple was now in big trouble.
"Be careful what you wish for, Emperor Zain," Memphis narrowed her eyes, "I’m the only one who can give you the time you need to reach your goal.
If the others were better than me, you wouldn’t be having this conversation with me in the first place."
Emperor Zain scoffed.
"Oh, since it is the Council of Ancient Felines, shouldn’t there be a Lion Council Member among them?" Memphis suddenly asked.
Some things weren’t making sense.
It was agreed that the lions were troublesome but the Ancient Felines Council was literally created to preserve the integrity and nature of each race belonging to the Ancient Feline Family.
How then was it possible for a lion to be a council member and the other felines were still plotting the demise of the lions?
Emperor Zain brought his hand up to his neck, "Let’s just say the other felines have had it up to here with the bullshit and bullying you lions bring wherever you go."
Memphis smiled.
"There is a lion there. Actually, there are a couple of lions in heaven, each one crazier than the other.
And the Lion Council Member? That guy is the personification of a calamity. He is a bully, a big bad bully.
He is the bully who bullies the monsters of the universe.
I heard he was quite furious to hear that Noel died. Unfortunately, something happened and he wasn’t able to come out.
Do you know how bad it is to cooperate with a demonic entity that crawled out from the deepest cosmic abyss?
Then imagine that demonic creature is a lion, a tyrant, and also painfully racist.
Imagine that?
The others are fed up with the lions in Original Heaven actually. They might not be the biggest faction there, but they sure cause some waves occasionally.
I’m sure you would be glad to meet them if you could."
By now, Memphis had a strange smile on her face.
Kael.was happy to hear that the lions were not a disappointment wherever they were. They truly lived up to their reputation as the most insufferable bastards of the universe.
That lion council member must be one mighty hard prick for him to give the entire lion race such a reputation.
In fact, Kael was guessing that the lion council member was the enabler behind many of the atrocities committed by other lions.
Such a beautiful thing.
Suddenly, the cats and other felines didn’t feel so threatening anymore.
With all those big brothers and sisters in the Original Heaven, Kael felt that he could almost sleep peacefully...almost.
"Well, if they are so troublesome and so powerful, why can’t they just come to the mortalverse?" Memphis asked.
It was understandable that the Original Heaven as well as other heavens was a good place to be but why was it that they hardly heard about these powerful entities residing there?
"As I mentioned before," Emperor Zain said, "It’s very easy to get in, just get a shuttle or an arkship. You could even fly into the portal with your bare body.
But getting out?
It’s kind of complicated.
Only immortals can leave that place and not all of them are even allowed toleave at once. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
It’s like, there is a certain number of immortals allowed to leave at a certain period of time.
And sometimes, there will be a limit to the power level of the immortal who could leave.
It’s been a very long time since a supreme-level immortal was allowed to leave.
And most of them just go back soon after.
The lions that are there are not like the ones you are used to, many of them have the forbidden Lionhearts and they are there for a reason.
Oh, there is also the fact that many of the factions there are actively preventing the lions from escaping.
Perhaps, that is why they couldn’t come out to help Noel. They are stuck in a luxurious prison with no warden. But the other prisoners don’t want them to leave.
Because..."
"...Because those forbidden lionhearts get out and fuse in mass with the rest of the lion civilization, we could shatter the balance of the cosmos."
Memphis completed the statement for Emperor Zain.
"Yep," Emperor Zain nodded, it was precisely as Kael stated. The other factions back there were very frightened of the idea of those lions escaping the Original Heaven and possibly working with their Primordial Lion.
Everyone knew that the thoughts the lions had for the universe were not of good, but pure desire to dominate.
"Why are you smiling like that?" Emperor Zain asked. He had turned around to see that Memphis was wearing a very chilling smile.
"Nothing, just had a funny thought that’s all," Memphis said, a cold playful light flashing through her golden eyes.
