Chapter 727: Chapter 727: Lion Swarm

What was the Pride Sync ability?

Just like the Dominion Roar, the Pride Sync was an ability that originated from the lion’s system itself.

No single lion could claim to have the Pride Sync ability, as it was something that belonged to the entire civilization.

Sure, there may be some offshoots or copies. Just as some dragons had alternatives to the original Dragon Breath, some lions had alternatives to the Pride Sync.

But nothing was as good as the original.

The Pride Sync functioned in tandem with the Pride creation feature of the system.

Before, the only way to confirm if anyone officially belonged to a clan was to check records and archives, perform ceremonies, and rely on word of mouth.

Now, there was a Pride feature, similar to the Pack feature of the wolves, that allowed them to document in real time who was in their pride.

As long as a consort or prince belonged to a pride, it would appear in the pride search bar under the name of that specific pride.

This also extended to the whole clan as well. Now, lions could just glance at the online clan records to see who was in their clan and who wasn’t.

The recording was almost automatic too as the lions didn’t particularly need to do anything other than just agree or disagree to join the pride or clan.

Pride Sync came in and made that pride feature extra meaningful. There had always been an issue of distortion in power that needed to be addressed seriously.

It was very normal for a pride leader to be maybe tier 4 or tier 5 and his consorts to be tier 3 or one of them to be tier 4.

This shouldn’t be bad as power dynamics were what defined a major part of the lion societies.

But during battles, it could sometimes be difficult. The pride leader could be fighting really powerful enemies and the lionesses had no way of helping out as they would just get killed or distract the pride leader.

It was a strange dilemma. They wanted the pride members to be strong enough so that their strength was actually meaningful. But they didn’t want them to be too strong so that they could challenge the might of the pride leader.

This was why some pride leaders could be very selective when choosing consorts. They didn’t make their selection based on beauty or personality but instead on strength.

The Pride Sync allows Pride members to solve this issue. It looked like all Pride members were together and allowed them to share their power levels with the Conquering Essence as a medium of exchange.

This way, if the pride leader was already strong, he could theoretically get a little stronger if he activated the Pride Sync.

He would be siphoning power from his pride members.

Another thing the Pride Sync did was that it linked not just their powers, but also their instincts and intent.

It wasn’t like they were sharing the same mind. Hive mind would be the wrong label.

More like they had the same sixth sense after using Pride Sync. Their intents would be aggressively aligned. All members would be able to work seamlessly together.

Because of the Pride Sync, five regular lions were completely different in combat ability from five pride members.

Both groups had five individuals but one had the combat awareness of twenty-five lions.

Prides were a form of strength in numbers, and the All-King had actualised it until it became the norm.

With the Pride Sync, the lions had an edge over their enemies.

But what if Pride Sync was used together with another special ability?

What if Pride Sync and Conquering Mode Avatar were used at the same time? Not just on a few individuals, but on the whole civilization.

On every lion and lioness linked to the lion system.

That was what Kael had orchestrated to happen right now.

Every single lion in Leonine Heaven had their eyes lit up with golden light and their auras rose to terrifying levels.

Tier 3s became tier 4, tier 4s, became tier 5, and so on.

Tier 7 entities did not become immortal just like that, but they reached a power level almost incomparable to a low-level Immortal.

Almost.

Immortality was not so easy to fake.

But the rise of so many lions under the influence of the Conquering Mode Avatar was very impressive.

The void went still under the collective might of all the lions.

Another thing that had occurred with this development was that the Conquering Mode Avatar had given Kale access to the thoughts of all the lions at once.

All seven hundred billion plus.

It was so large that it was unthinkable.

The All-King, obviously could not possibly speak into the minds of all the lions and lionesses at once, but he could give out a general guiding thought and watch as all of them rushed out to obey it.

All around Kael, he watched as the lions around him, even their arkships, erupted with golden light.

Then there was the Pride Sync that was starting to get activated by individual pride leaders one by one.

The power up was just beginning.

All these power-ups were not for free as all the reserves in the lion system were being drained extremely quickly.

It couldn’t last.

At best, they had a few minutes. At best.

In battles involving Immortals, a few minutes should be enough.

"Help the Emperor of Creation!" Kael’s voice echoed into the minds of all the lions feeling their muscles tightening and their fangs tingling.

That single sentence of command instantly compelled them to roar and rush forward toward the floating Imperial Palace.

Golden dots shimmered in the distance, it was the other lions from the mall over heaven making their way here, seeking to join in on the fun.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Guard Boss and his dragon guards stood on the ground as if in front of the Imperial Palace with serious looks of fear.

How could they describe the feeling in their hearts?

They felt reverence, they felt fear, they felt the oppressive might of the kings.

Half a second after those feelings arose within the minds of the dragon guards, they were overwhelmed.

A raging river of golden-eyed lions slammed into the Imperial Palace while a much larger wave shot toward the massive silver dragon and Ibadon.

Torn to shreds, all of the dragon guards were torn to shreds. Instantly obliterated.

They put up some resistance instinctively but it was nothing under the rain of claws and fangs as well as a myriad of special abilities.

Three seconds in and the whole Imperial Palace was decimated. The lions tore through the walls and fell the towers.

The Imperial Palace which was as large as any reasonable building could be was destroyed within a short amount of time.

Even the blood and flesh from the guards were devoured and nothing but wood splinters and small pieces of the former walls floated in low gravity. But even those were sure to be consumed somehow.

Alas, not every part of the Imperial Palace was destroyed.

One Veggie Lioness, her eyes glowing with calm dominance, had bashed into the throne room with her head first. Her glowing green ram horns struck straight against the crystal throne.

*BANG!*

Her head burst apart like a watermelon, her spine compressing on itself until it turned to dust.

She was dead, right as the throne hall was ripped apart from the outside.

All but the crystal throne remained intact.

For a while, amidst all the commotion, not many paid attention to it.

Not until a few more lions bashed into the crystal throne and exploded.

The throne was really durable from the looks of it.

At the same exact time, Ibadon had transformed into his true form. A massive dragon-lion hybrid, pitch black with bat-like wings flapping behind him.

With a wrathful expression, longer at the Silver Creation Dragon, slashing thousands of times and leaving behind deep dark sockets of nothingness in his wake.

Emperor Zain on the other hand was mostly doing damage control while trying to sneak in as many attacks as he could.

Waves of the End swept out from Ibadon’s body, erasing everything around him. It was a good thing that Emperor Zain was keeping him busy, if not, Ibadon would have done exactly what he did to the Void Spill Galaxy.

Even then, black holes were forming around the two fighting immortals, hundreds at a time. Space and time were beginning to warp and bend.

Cracks appeared and the Gap was starting to show itself.

Emperor Zain was being pushed back, he waved and dodged, trying his best to prevent his serpentine body from being clamped by Ibadon’s devouring maw.

He created both defensive and offensive constructs while also engineering binds to keep the abomination in place. All it did was slow Ibadon down and make him more frustrated.

Booms and bangs so loud, one could hear them thousands of light-years away instantly as these sounds traversed through the warp effect.

A vast wave of lions and golden rimmed arkships shot forward from behind Emperor Zain.

Cannon beams covered the golden sky like white rain on a golden canvas.

The combined force of so many enhanced lions all at once was incredible. Acting together with Emperor Zain’s own attacks, they finally seemed to have done something.

Ibadon, right before their eyes, actually got hurt.

Meanwhile, the crystal throne blinked with an ominous light.
