Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 729: Something Is Wrong
Shawty flew through the stream of lions around her, her body covered in the golden flames bestowed upon HR by the All-King.
Her eyes glowed with a fierce golden light and her heart burned with the desire to conquer all that was before her.
She didn’t want anything besides doing what was said by the Conqueror’s Intent. As the Conqueror’s Intent was a by-product of the All-King, it was automatically perceived as an agent of conquest.
So she and the rest of the lion queens and kings followed whatever the Conqueror’s Intent directed. Their survival instincts were severely suppressed and all they could think of was the desire for the level of intoxication they felt.
Everything was happening too fast, they all wanted to get a piece of the action so badly as they were all having the conclusion that the more they followed the directions of the Conqueror’s Intent, the more they could keep their Lion hood bar’s full.
In fact, their Lionhood bars were not just full, they were beyond. The bars had overfilled, each and every one of them.
Most lions and lionesses like Shawty had already experienced the peak of the Lionhood bar. This new level of intoxication brought about by the Conqueror’s Mode Avatar was so intense that they felt like literal gods.
As Shawty launched herself from the surface of multiple arkships, she felt no fear, she felt no panic, she just wanted to dominate.
In her lioness form which emits the aura of a tier 7 entity, she sped through the skies, weaving through the swarm of lions and leaving a trail of golden fire behind her.
She was moving fast in the same direction that everyone was going, toward Ibadon.
It didn’t matter how fast Ibadon was teleporting around.
As long as he was in Leonine Heaven, he was like a dark lighthouse, constantly signalling to the lions his immediate location.
He could hide it, but that would require that he wasn’t being bombarded from all angles.
Finally, Shawty had her wish granted.
Something had happened that caused Ibadon to pause his movements, allowing a brief moment for Emperor Zain to lock in and the lion swarm to get closer and encircle him.
Ibadon’s confused face enlarged in Shawty’s fiery eyes and she readied a massive ball of flames in her mouth, preparing to blow up Ibadon’s face.
Suddenly, Ibadon’s form blurred.
Before Shawty could launch her fireball, her head was decapitated from her body. Not just her, all the lions and lionesses coming behind her were either cleaved into two or atomised.
Hundreds of thousands of arkships were blasted back and the Gaps appeared again.
So many kings and queens died at that moment, but the swarm continued.
Silver chains, swords, and islands fell on Ibadon’s head or rose to pierce his body.
Ibadon blasted his way out of the swarm again and again, only for more to come and encircle him.
His black fur which was pretty much nonexistent was now dead with the blood of the kings. And beneath all that layer of blood, there were a few scratches that were actually starting to pile up.
Actually, things were becoming quite problematic for Ibadon.
He had realised that these lions did not care about their lives at all. They would proactively kill themselves to make sure they got some attacks in. The last time Ibadon saw something like this was with the Bees and the ants.
The lions were acting as if they had a hive mind influencing their every decision. They were akin to drug addicts who were eternally chasing that high.
As it was said, even a large elephant could be bitten to death if there were enough ants. Ibadon understood that they could definitely harm him, even kill him.
With Emperor Zain constantly acting as a factor to blind him and restrict his movements, this was a very real possibility.
Ibadon calculated that if he didn’t do anything quickly, not only would his energy be drained, but he would be dead in a few minutes or a dozen.
Ibadon was not scared of death, he was scared of not doing what he intended to do before he died.
Death was the end goal, a peaceful death, but he had to make sure he killed the lions before they killed him.
"The crystal throne," Ibadon muttered to himself as he spread his senses out, turning multiple lions to dust as he searched for something.
When Ibadon found what he was looking for, his heart faltered.
Kael was hovering in front of the crystal throne, looking at it with a curious gaze. Obviously not knowing what it truly was.
Instantly, Ibadon teleported and appeared directly above the All-King with his dark wings spread out and his mouth open wide to devour the Primordial Lion.
Once again, Ibadon felt that sickening feeling of power leaving his body very fast. It was very uncomfortable and Ibadon had a nauseous feeling well up in his guts.
Thus the turn of events slowed down Ibadon by very few milliseconds, too fast for an ordinary creature but enough time for Kael to squeeze his way out of there with a decisive teleportation.
Ibadon didn’t have time to think too much about that draining sensation since it was fine the moment Kael disappeared. He wanted to kill the All-King and at the same time not kill him.
He could see that the All-King had a lot of control over the lions. It was the reason why he had been pursuing Kael from the beginning.
If he caught Kael, with some techniques, he would be able to attack every single lion at the same time.
Kael was both the strength and weakness of the lions as the Primordial Lion.
Now that the crystal throne was left alone, Ibadon hovered next to it. Compared to his large body that was almost the size of a planet, the throne was really small.
Ibadon looked around in frustration. Once again, the swarm of silver constructs and mad lions rushed him again.
Just then, the crystal throne started blinking erratically.
A deathly presence descended on the whole of Leonine Heaven. The billions of lions that had just made it to the central coverage felt the pressure.
Something bad was about to happen.
Kael and the many Fortune Lions felt it the hardest. For Kael, it was like a sickening stench of bad luck wafted into his nose and burned his eyes.
He frowned, his mind working fast as he understood that the Crystal Throne was a god-level artifact.
What other reason would Ibadon have for bringing the literal Imperial Palace to the battlefield?
What other reason would Ibadon have for keeping it close to him?
What other reason could there be for Kael sensing a suffocating power, the same he felt from the Gauntlet?
"What does it do?" Kael wondered as he began to crank his mind and activate as many laws as he could at the same time.
The crystal throne was blinking too fast, there was no time to think about anything.
There was no time to find out what it could do.
"KILL HIM!" Kael roared, pointing at Ibadon.
The hundreds of billions of lions that had arrived roared and turned into streams of golden power that rushed at Ibadon like water from a broken dam.
Their collective movements broke the void and reality, exposing the Gaps that lay at the foundation of all that exists.
And through these gaps, one could see a glimpse of the various other heavens in the universe.
But there was no time to dwell on that, the reserves of the Lion System were running out and the essence and the Conqueror’s Mode Avatar would be deactivated in a short amount of time.
Kael turned into a beam of golden light that rushed to the Massive Black Pyramid, he could sense the danger and was not going to sit back.
His body was starting to blur at the last moment as he prepared to escape to the mortalverse just in case.
While speeding away, Kael waved his hand, letting go of the severed dragon head that once belonged to Elizabeth.
After Kael let it go, his powers seemed to surge as if a weight had been lifted.
Emperor Zain, who had just received a telepathic message from Kael immediately rushed to the abandoned dragon head.
The silver dragon coiled his way through the chaos and collected the severed dragon head with a silver telekinetic force before swimming back to Ibadon.
Kael’s body phased through the walls of the Massive Black Pyramid and entered directly into one of the luxurious suites.
Even after he had entered the safety of the Massive Black Pyramid, Kael’s danger sense did not go down, instead, it kept on increasing.
The aura of bad luck was converging on his body and Kael could perceive that something was utterly wrong with the future.
"Katari, Chloe! Mother! Ozia! All of you, leave now!" Kael’s telepathic voice thundered through the walls of the luxurious suite.
The end was nigh.
