Reincarnated Into A Dead Woman's Body In Another World-Chapter 331: Arc 5, - 25: Broken Bones
"How dare you," the slime-like humanoid scoffed and raised her hand. "Not interested? No, that won’t do. Fine, if you won’t submit that easily, I have no qualms taming you," she giggled.
Water dripped from her gelatinous human form and like rain it poured out of her limbs. With a whip of her arm, the water rushed forth in a large wave towards the elf. Asobi’s eyes widened and she ran but-
"SLOSH!" "WAH!" "BANG!" The water thwacked the raven-haired woman into the containers and crates, drenching her face and hair whilst the water trickled down her enchanted magician’s attire not soaking it up.
She slumped down and her butterfly disappeared—her hat been flung off. The slime-woman walked towards her slowly and bit her lower lip, savouring the sight of thrown elf on the floor.
Aquamarine water whipped around her form to her command, splashing and sloshing around the floor as if the sea itself was at her beck and call.
Gunshots were above her, people were still running up the mesh stairs and walkways. She could see through water droplets, Jotou’s lightning zapping upstairs against ghosts and ghouls while the spirit-mage barely moved an inch.
Asobi wiped her eyelashes clear off water and felt the wand still in her grip. She raised it forward and shook her head, "Such a tough crowd for this night, well then, go my spectacular blinding light!" her eyes glittered with white light.
So did her wand which shot out a flash of blinding white light which lit up the entire warehouse. "Heugh!" the slime-woman moaned and shunned her eyes.
As the light died down, she opened her slime-coated eyes that protected her somewhat—the elf had disappeared from sight. A floating top hat appeared behind her, "Blinding Mask!"
She turned and white specks shot out from the wand and sprung onto her eyes. "Ngh!" Lights seeped into her vision and all she could see was white.
Asobi prepared a white butterfly at the tip of her wand.
"Mmm..." the slime’s head tilted. "Kinky; you’re gonna be fun," her ’eyes’ rolled upwards and away from the blindness spell’s area on her face and looked at Asobi, whose eyes bubbled.
"TSS!" Asobi fluttered her butterfly forward.
"Sh! Ow!" the slime-woman winced away as it grazed her arm—she whacked the butterfly away with tiny jets of water. The light sizzled her slime-like skin and burned; it evaporated into the air, leaving a gap in her arm.
With a moan and a grunt, slime covered the gap like glue in an instant and fixed the injury. Aquamarine water thrashed forward into a rolling wave and rushed against the crates.
The top hat was gone, but no sound, no crash, not even a grunt from the invisible elf. "Poof!" "Puff!" "Blast!" Clouds of glitter exploded all around the slime-woman and fireworks shot up the warehouse in all colours.
Hotaru and Jotou watched rainbowish, glittering smoke puff up all around them at the same time, the people rushing up, down and around all came to a halt.
"I warned you to surrender, but it seems I must now tear your minds asunder!" a melodious and high voice echoed on all sides.
Hotaru had crimson splatter across her face and blood dripped down her adventuring attire. Not a single injury, for they were all healed—the pile of pale corpses could attest to that.
The redhead had practically made a wall of bodies near the metal door and blocked the staircase up. Rifles and pistols lied broke or unused on the floor, some still in the grips of the dead.
Several bloody bullets had tinged onto metal walkway and fell through the gaps in the mesh. Her heavy breaths would not end as dozens of assailants took cover behind the pile of bodies by the stairs whilst she kept guard at the door.
However, as the smoke from Asobi puffed up... She made her move and went forward—her fangs bared and ears spiked. Her arms and legs shuddered from the energy coursing through her.
The feeling... the feeling of violently breaking a table in half with your bare hands. She cried out loud and ripped her claws through the corpses in a frenzy.
Her assailants felt the watery claws pierce into their stomachs, their necks, their backs, without a moment to react. As they came out of the makeshift barricade, they would only see the sight of an enraged wolf-girl before they would see no longer...
Behind Hotaru, some tiny bug skittered up the wall and got on the mesh walkway behind her. The bug’s limbs morphed and grew, transforming into a towering figure.
Hotaru turned and her brilliant blue eyes gazed upon the brawny man in a full black suit with red accents all over. His shoulders broad and chest wide.
His chiselled face bore a sharp beard that connected to sideburns; his hair dark and short with greys going around the sides of his head. Dark brown eyes glared to her. Hotaru, without a second thought, pressed forward to attack him.
She released an enraged yell and slashed her new target. Her watery claws did not manage to get a scratch in as much as she tried.
Her crimson tail and ears were spiked and she slashed again and again and again. The man spoke no words and blocked them with his arms that took no damage from the redhead’s strikes.
The man’s head twisted and morphed; atop the human body, his head turned into that of a crocodile- "SNAP!" Hotaru narrowly dodged his gaping maw.
His arms transformed into that of a gorilla and he grabbed the wolf-girl. "GH! Let, me, GO!" she growled. Her request was granted...
With both arms on her, he chucked the redhead over the railing and across the warehouse. "CRASH!" The bluish aura disappeared.
Meanwhile... "BASH! CRUMBLE! CRASH!"
Through the countless spirits attacking her, Jotou whipped her head up and saw the broken door crash through with some sort of stone limb that flung an object towards the lower floor.
That object, "Meko!" Jotou rushed forth as the puffs of glittering smoke appeared. However, that wasn’t the only thing barring her path.
Her blonde hair lashed frontwards and she spun her sparking blade, "I’ve so had enough of you... Bring out your entire damn legion of ghosts, you won’t stop me!"
"Is that so..." the spirit-mage sighed. Her throne elevated beyond the walkway as she sent ghost after ghost to the sparking blonde. Jotou groaned and knitted her brows in search of her thrown detective.
Fumeko’s brown locks flapped up behind her, much like her cloak—The rush of air and the pull of gravity she could sense. Her closed eyelids waxed open to see the ground fast approaching. "Woosh!" She blinked lower sideways. "Thud! Thump!"
She landed, but couldn’t stop the momentum and tripped. Her bruised body skipped along the floor and she thudded against the warehouse wall by some crates.
With her back to the wall and covered by a cloak, her blurry visions steadied on some people standing over her... She furrowed her brows whilst her head whirled, "Sobi...?"
But no matter how much her vision cleared around her, there were still five Asobi-s looking down on her. "Yeah, it’s me! What happened!?" all five spoke to her, but the voice only came from the one in the centre.
The brunette’s mouth was agape... "Oh you know, just drinking my morning coffee in there- WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENED!? OW!" the broken ribs made her flinch and whimper.
Asobi sighed in relief, "Oh, you’re still okay. Come on, we’re not done yet, there’s this weird slime lady after me and I saw people loading up guns and rifles from the crates," she helped her up.
Fumeko held her side through the cloak and stood up. There were still five Asobi-s with wet hair. In fact, there were twenty all around the entire warehouse running amuck.
"Everything hurts... Where’s wolfy, where’s Aru?"
"I don’t know, I last saw her upstairs and I think I heard her screaming."
"There you are," a voice came from behind the two.
"SH-TWHACK!"
Fumeko blinked behind the source of the voice, "Wait, is this that slime that ate the blood off the floor?" her dagger aimed for... for uhm...
"Speh! It’s a neat trick, isn’t it?" the drenched again Asobi spat the rest of the water out of her mouth and steadied herself—stars and rubber ducks circled over her head as she leaned against the warehouse wall.
"That slime off the floor? A foulmouthed gremlin dares call me that? Oh, oh what joy! A brat to tame!?" the slime-girl beamed.
Fumeko stabbed the gleaming purple dagger in between her shoulder blades, "Gremlin!? Coming from the glob of sentient acid!?" The gleaming purple dagger cut through with such ease, it might as well be a feather floating down the air.
But by the time the dagger shredded through, the slime stitched itself together near-instantly. "SPLOOSH!" Water swirled and jetted upwards as the slime-girl kicked up behind her.
Before she got caught up in the torrent that blasted into the roof, she blinked down and away. She clutched her side and whimpered. In the next moment, the brunette disappeared from sight...
The slime-girl cocked her head; the elf had gone missing as well, while all her fake Asobi-s were running around aimlessly causing a distraction.
Upstairs...
"Kickbolt!" Jotou flipped a leg forward and leapt up to catch the throne of the spirit-mage with her blade. The throne simply floated higher and she indifferently looked down upon the blonde.
"Stomp... stomp... stomp..." Out of the broken room she was so close to, came out some sort of four-armed golem made of greyish-silver stone. ’Great, is that the thing Meko was dealing with.’
"What took you so many years?" the spirit-mage sighed. With that, a swarm of ghosts rose up and all closed in on the blonde. Her eyes bubbled and she readied her blade.
She narrowed her glance, "Shoulder-Charge!" she closed the distance between the stone entity and her. Jotou spun, "Thundering Strike!" with lightning lingering from the previous spell, her blade struck stone...
"BLASSTTTT- CHFF!" The lightning did practically nothing to the stone beyond running along it. The thunder that followed however, cracked and chipped away a few chunks of the armour...
The stone figure was pushed back maybe a few centimetres and stood just as it did before—all the thunder directed at it... completely absorbed and the cracks and chips fixed in seconds.
Ghosts lunged for her from behind while the spirit-mage closed her eyes and massaged each of her ears to stop them from ringing. Jotou twirled back-
A single giant butterfly formed a small wall between her and the ghosts made of white light. "TSsS! TssSS! Tss..." Bugs into a bug zapper the ghosts were, despite many of the ghouls coming to a halt.
"Hgh!" the invisibility faded and Asobi appeared in front of Jotou—all her illusions running amuck faded. With all her might, Asobi pushed her gigantic butterfly manifestation forward and up towards the spirit-mage.
With a smile and a spark in her eye, Jotou faced the stone-woman. She dashed ahead and spun, "Thundering-"
"DUFF!"
Stone emerged from the mesh walkway and buffeted her back. The stone formed into a fist and lifted Jotou into the air. Sparks flew like fireworks around the blonde—her spell had not ended, "-Strike!" She struck her blade down into the stone.
"BLASSTTT!!" "Shoulder-Charge!" mid-fall, she aimed for the stone-woman. Lightning encased her and she brought her blade forward, "Thundering Strike!"
Stone quickly engulfed Jotou’s blade, all the way to her wrist- "...Bhew..." The lighting and subsequent thunder fizzled out in the stone.
"Woah-ah, Ah!"
Jotou’s head swivelled and she noticed the ghosts had gone intangible to simply go through Asobi’s butterfly. A few of them grabbed her and lifted her into the air—their claws about to pierce her throat.
’NO!’ "Kickbolt!" Jotou kicked up and broke the hold on her wrist and let go of her sword. "Shoulder-Charge!" she slid under the elf.
With her wand and hands grabbed, Asobi stuck her tongue out and casted a butterfly of light. "Tss!" It cut off the fingers about to stab her.
Jotou jumped unsteadily onto the railing took aim and charged for a ghost with all her might. She grabbed and clung onto the elf, weighing them down. "Zap!" Jotou punched with one hand to the limbs grabbing her.
The elf was released from their grasp- "TUFF!" The next move had already been made and a pillar of stone jetted out from the side of the wall.
Jotou was missed by an inch, but Asobi got caught in its attack. The elf was flung across the warehouse and began falling whilst Jotou landed with a clank onto the mesh walkway.
"Woosh!" "I gotcha!" Fumeko blinked beneath an incoming body from the sky and threw her arms out. "Thud!" Fumeko fell on her ass with an Asobi in her arms. "Ow..."
The dizzy Asobi fluttered her lashes, "Potatoes are fruit of the oceanic crab sights... Oh, hi Meko," she sat panting on the brunette’s stomach. "My insides feel like a funhouse... Yippee... Oh no, your ribs!" Asobi stumbled off of her.
"Ugh... It’s fine," she groaned. "They’re healed a little anyway," she pointed to a redhead crouched behind some crates. She appeared to be healing her own back. "You might wanna make us invisible before they find us..."
