Reincarnated Into a Shounen Anime-Chapter 34: Welcome Ceremony

The sun slowly creeped out of the horizon. Bathing the world in soft orange hue. Birds awaking up and flying off to find their meal.

In the International Hero Academy, the students slowly made their way to the auditorium. Chatting amongst themselves.

Today was the welcome ceremony of the first years. Most of the students have already taken their seats. Waiting for the ceremony to start.

Alex, along with the four girls had arrived early and were seated in the middle rows. Saika and Aika sat to his left, Nakashima and Salonika sat to his right. Salonika had her usual mask on.

There group made heads turn. Students whispered. But the group ignored them. The murmuring around them made the whole auditorium lively.

Alex right now was looking for the protagonist. But where can he find an unremarkable boy among the 4,000 students?

He gave up for now. There will be plenty of opportunity later. Alex had plans for the boy. To make him stronger faster. So he won’t have to suffer like he did in the anime.

But that will have to wait. Because figure of unimaginable beauty has appeared. Making everyone stunned. She had long white hair and amethyst eyes. Her aura imposing and impossible to ignore. The whole auditorium turned quite.

She had Students Council monogram on her left shoulder.

’Hmmm... isn’t she the Vampire Princess? Wow. She is aura farming like breathing air isn’t she.’

Alex looked around and found everyone staring at her as if enchanted by her beauty. There were also few other students with the same monogram as her.

[Greetings, Students of International Hero Academy. I’m Lilienthalia Evernight Perdurant. Student Council President. Today on this glorious day, we are gathered to greet our juniors who will help us in building a better and safer world. So-]

Lilienthalia’s melodic voice rang out through the quite auditorium. The students listened like they were immersed in listening to a music.

Alex listened as well. Feeling nothing in particular.

~30 Minutes Later~

But that quickly turned into irritation.

’What the hell? Why is she talking so much? Is she training to be a teacher? How can someone with zero facial expression talk this much? I really regret skip watching the anime. Who knew I would end up here?’

Alex felt his PTSD come back. Painful memories of when he had to sit hours, listening to geezers talk anything but nonsense.

But fortunately, the ending appeared in her speech.

A loud applause rang through the auditorium. Students cheering excitedly.

Alex also clapped like he was proud.

"Oh my! Have you fallen in love with her Alex? Clapping so hard~~ hmm? Hmm?"

Nakashima from the side whispered to Alex with a teasing smile. He didn’t turn to her. The applause still going even when Lilienthalia went down the stage.

"I’m just feeling incredibly relieved."

"Why?"

Alex looked at Nakashima. The auditorium slowly quitting down. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"Because she is done talking."

A pause. Both of them started at each others eyes.

"Pff-hahaha~~"

Nakashima burst into laughter. Making the others turn their heads. Saika turned her head with a curious expression.

"Shima-Chan ~ what are you laughing about? Tell me too! I wanna laugh too! Tell me! Tell me!"

Nakashima then explained what had conspired which Saika didn’t understand what was so funny about.

But before they could talk any further. Silence involuntarily fell. The once empty long table and chairs on the stage was now filled with people.

The teachers have arrived without anyone noticing. They didn’t release any aura but the students didn’t dare to make

Lilienthalia arrived in stage once again. She stood infront of the podium and started speaking again. Alex felt his heart drop. Thinking another half an hour of useless nonsense. But fortunately, that wasn’t the case because she was just acting as an anchor.

Soon, the teachers introduced themselves and gave a short speech. The teachers were Head of their respective departments.

An hour later, all the teachers were done and were sitting in their chairs.

[Now, The Headmaster will give a short speech. Everyone, please, give a big hand.]

Lilienthalia announced and she stepped away from the podium. And as if teleporting, an old man with long white hair and beard appeared. One moment, there was nothing, and the next moment, he was just... there.

The students gasped slightly. The Headmaster had a kind smile on his face. He exuded gente aura. The Headmaster scanned the room. His eyes stopping in the second floor.

Alex noticed it and knew that the protagonist was on the second floor of the auditorium. That’s why he wasn’t able to find him.

Then, the Headmaster continued his gaze and looked at Alex. Both of them started into each others eyes for 2 seconds before the Headmaster smiled and gently looked away.

After a while, he begun his speech.

[Welcome. My dear students. Its a great pleasure that your all here. I’m Yamamoto Takashi. You can call me Headmaster or Headmaster Yamamoto. Hohoho~. I will not keep you young lads wating form your new life much longer. But, as an elder with more experience in life, let me tell you few things about life. And few tips and tricks that will help hohoho~. Life-]

Then begun Headmaster’s speech. Although the Headmaster said it will be short, Alex knew from the anime that it will not end before 2 hours.

Alex shifted in his seat and made himself comfortable.

’Welp. Since it will a long and painful hour, I will have to activate my Ultimate Disguise Technique: Teachers Pet Fecade!’

After that, Alex’s brain was about to go off line when a thought hit him.

’Wasn’t class’s were supposed to start at 8 in the morning? The ceremony started at 7 so...’

Alex took out his phone and his suspension came true.

’7:19 outside? Well damn. Looks like we are trapped here with the old man for a while.’

~One Eternity Later~

[Now, The Student Representative of the first year, please come to the stage and give a short speech. Everyone give a big hand.]

Alex snapped out of his techniques influence when he heard Lilienthalia’s voice. Alex didn’t even notice when the Headmaster was done. Not that he cared.

Alex stood up from his seat and walked down the stairs. The students clapped. Some looked at him like he was a psychopath while some looked at him with interest. But many looked at him with hate and jealousy.

Alex ignored all and climbed up the stage with a practiced smile. Lilienthalia stepped aside from the podium with curiosity evident in her eyes.

Alex stood infront of the Students. Everyone looking at him. A familiar feeling washed over him.

[Greetings fellow students. I’m Alexander Pluto. I will not say much. So don’t worry.]

A small ripple of laughter rang out.

[You all may know me. Or don’t know me. But you have surely heard of me as some kind psychopath who smiles while torturing people. Some calling me things like, monster, a waste of oxygen, bastard of Satan and what not in the academy forum.]

Alex was smiling but the mood in the auditorium plumped noticeably. Some students shifted uncomfortably. Some of them noticed Alex smiling at them and their heart skipped severel bits.

[Fufufu~ but worry not. I’m not that kind of person. I’m as gentle as one can get. And as you may know, I got the first rank by luck as well. So I hope you guys challenge me and entertain- I mean let me prove myself!]

Alex cheerfully winked at the students. Making their skin crawl.

[Alright! I won’t keep you all wating anymore! Hope we all get along reeeaaally well! Thank you!]

Alex bowed slightly and walked down the stage. The mood in the auditorium was stiff.

’Well. That should work as a filter for unnecessary challenges in the future. Though...’

Alex got to his seat. No one clapped. Everyone was slightly tense while the brave ones were looking at him with fire in their eyes.

’... I may have gone a bit too far...’

But he shrugged thinking there were many weird people in the world. One more won’t hurt.

Before long, the ceremony was completed and the students slowly made their way out. The chatted in hushed voice before the previous atmosphere disappeared from the students as they became excited about their new academy life.

There were still half an hour left before class’s start. So there were plenty of time to find their designated class room. Alex and the four girls made their way to Class-A. The class of the most talented students.

The group chatted amongst themselves. Alex’s behaviour not affecting at all. They were completely fine with Alex’s sadistic tendencies. It’s not like they can do anything to him anyway. As long as he doesn’t harm anyone unreasonably, it fine.

And from what they knew of Alex, he wasn’t that kind of guy.

Very quickly, they reached the building where all the classes are located...
