Normally when a person becomes a jumper. They are given Eyewears which connect to their thoughts, it is through this eyewear that Jumpers get to see their status, and understand their progress. Alex on the other hand saw a window pop up right in front of him.

Some of the things on the window were new to him. Like Soul, Energy type and Race. Normally a system would show you your Name, Power Type, skills, and inventory if you have a spatial bag with you.

Alex stood for a moment, trying to understand what was going on with him. The events that took place 10 years ago still fresh in his mind as though they just happened yesterday. But for some reason his emotions were mellowed out.

After a moment of looking around he chose a random route and just started walking. As he was walking his eyes were trained on the broken building structures around him. What seems to once have been a lively neighborhood with a large population is now only an echo of the past.

Vine trees, stretched out, wrapping around cracked walls. The paved roads now split open by the plants stuck from the ground. From the looks of things, a forest that should have taken years to grow out, took a span of months and everything seems to become a bland of man made and nature.

’This appears to have happened as a results of the seal opening’

Mike shook his head, sorrow in his eyes, He was there when the first ancient texts revealed themselves to him. He also understood his own strength, yes he might have been the strongest. But that was only in their world. The Jumper phenomena only started 5 years earlier, much was to be discovered, it was new territory to them.

In the past he liked to adventure when he jumped into other dimensions. On one of his expeditions at Dimension Beta he came across a cave filled with all sorts of treasures. There were also old books that spoke of the vast world beyond the seal. With the weakest Monster only being a Level 100 . Alex was a level 90 at the time. The world beyond the seal promised riches beyond one’s own imagination but danger lurked around every corner, So when he explained this to his so-called friend and fiancé, they had other plans.

’Once the seal is broken the fallen will floors this world like a broken dam, Unlike the past when they were weakened by the world consciousness of Ethia, this time they will come in full strength, and time won’t force them back’

Alex thought back when he was reviewing the texts. He had tried to buy humanity time till they became strong enough to evolve to the next stage. While Alex was deep in his thoughts, eyes were trained on him.

Eyes of a predator lusting for its next meal. Naked Alex looked like the best next meal right now. The owner of these eyes couldn’t be properly seen as it blended well with the shadows. And whenever Alex accidentally looks at its direction, it quickly retreats back into the shadow and re-emerge from another location.

Unaware of his doom, Alex was still checking out the structure of the building. Completely unaware.

A sound suddenly caught his attention, when he turned his head to check, nothing was there. His sensors are finally on high alert. Checking around and nothing out of the ordinary.

Suddenly something likened to a werewolf pouched on him. The attack was so sudden that the claws of the beast left 3 clear claw marks on his arm.

Drip, Drip!

Blood slowly started to drip off his shoulder. At this moment Alex could careless for a scratch no matter how much blood he was losing. The beast disappeared once more.

’Damn Mutt, only good at hiding’

As if anticipating it, this time he got out of the way of the attack just in time. When he caught a clear view of the beast, It looked like Lion that learnt how to walk on two legs and a horn coming out of its head

Shadow Lilicorns are known to move in packs, They use stealthy attacks on their unsuspecting victims and use their razor sharp claws to take them down with a swift attack.

Alex is suddenly surprised by the convenience brought to him by his system. Now that he knew the beast’s skill he started to run off to a location with less shadows, While running the Beast a beam of light shone from the shadow.

Seeing this Alex jumped to the side, but by the looks of it because there was not much cover because of the shadow. He was out in the open. He tried reaching out for a slab of rock laying down. It was a bit further from his location. But without thinking he reached out deep in his soul. A sensation he never felt before came to life. The stone moved on its own. And blocked the attack just in time.

This came as a surprise for Alex, he did see that he had Telekinetic skills powered by his soul but he couldn’t get them to work no matter how much he waved his hands around. He closed his eyes, and tried to familiarize himself with the sensation. While he did this, the beast saw what just happened so it quickly jumped back in its shadow and reappeared back out from another location.

Alex finally got the grasp of his new ability. It was like a limb he just grew. All he had to do was start using it. Just in time as the Lilicorn was charging up a new attack. Alex didn’t even give it time to charge, he quickly focused his mind on the rubble around him, and sent them straight to where the light originated.

As the projectiles were coming for the beast, an odd thing happened, it didn’t try to shift from its position, instead, it attacked at the coming projectiles before it jumped into the shadows.

’Was that my imagination? No let me do it a few more times to get confirm my suspicions’

Then again the two exchanged attacks one hides while the other tries to pinpoint their locations then they attack while the other charges their attack. This went on for a while. Alex caught onto something so he came up with an idea.

The Shadow Silicon was hard to pin point and even harder to hit. So Alex stood right in the middle of the old buildings. He tapped deep within him than he ever before,

Ahhhhhhhhh!

With a roar the entire structure started to shake, weak walls fell, and the rubble started to spin around Alex, the whole thing looked like a tornado. Alex increased his senses to their max, any unnatural movement caught by his eyes a stone followed. This went on till He ran out of rubble to throw around. The space around him was clear of all stones and walls.

When the beast saw this it got out of the shadow, fed up with the battle that took away all the remaining energy it had, it could see Alex was now weakened and no ammo to attack with. From the looks of it, the stones he tossed away were out of his reach also.

"Finally coming out huh, tired of hiding?"

Seeing how the shadow Lilicorn was walking, Mike realized that it was heavily injured and from the looks of it, It wasn’t by him.

’No wonder it fought at a distance. I guess it sees me as defenseless now, even its weakened state could take me down’

Step after another, the Lilicorn walked closer to Alex, Alex visibly tired and couldn’t even bother to run. Once the beast was far away from any form of shadow. A smirk planted itself on Alex’s face.

’Gotcha you dumb Mutt’

Up in the sky, a large boulder was making its way back down at a high speed, Alex tossed it so high earlier than it even went out of his ability’s radius and when the Lilicorn looked earlier. It couldn’t see anything so high up, it was the size of a soil grain.

The ears of the Beast perked up as if to have caught a strange noise. It started to look around.
