Reincarnated To Evolve My Bee Empire-Chapter 147: Get dunked on
"Yes, Father!" Destroyer saluted with her hammer. Her face was stoic, but her eyes were blazing. "Beemarines! FOR THE EMPIRE AND OUR FATHER—CRUSH THE SKULLS OF OUR ENEMIES!"
I echoed her cry together with the other Beemarines as we flew at the young human Jit.
"FOR THE EMPIRE AND OUR FATHER!!"
Our voices were so loud, they left my ears ringing.
They carried even to Jit, whose head was almost up with the clouds. A moment earlier, the giant’s eyes were scanning the surroundings, searching for me and my bees, but now he immediately refocused on us and turned to us in alarm.
The middle-aged man, Vit, called out something.
Jit raised his jacket and waved it at us again, faster than before. This time his aim wasn’t even close, but the swing still blew a gust of wind at my team. We had to fight to keep our flight even.
"Scatter!" I ordered. "Confuse the enemy—he can’t attack us all at once!"
My bodyguards hesitated for a moment, but then Destroyed nodded to them.
"Yes, Father!" they shouted, flying away in all directions and moving to get Jit from the sides.
Only Destroyer stayed next to me.
"I will guard you with my life, Father. Please, don’t send me away, too."
Her presence made little difference, but I didn’t have the time to say as much—Jit had already located me and was swinging his jacket in my direction.
Forever Greatest was a beautiful armor, but those dragon scales shined way too brightly in the sunlight!
"Yeah, sure, whatever!" I shouted, dashing past the attack.
Although its area spanned several dozen meters, each jacket swing was twice as long. You’d think it would give us plenty of time to dodge, but no!
The giants weren’t slow and lumbering—their speed was proportional to their size, and each swing took a couple seconds. Destroyer and I really had to push our wings to the limit to escape in time!
Thankfully, we were flying with an estimated speed of over 60 kilometers per hour—way faster than we would’ve been running.

With deafening "WHOOOSH!" the jacket flew through the air behind me, throwing me and Destroyer forward with the raised wind.
’Damn iiit!’ I cursed, beating my wings to keep myself upright.
Then, seeing that his targets spread all over, Jit abandoned all aim and precision and began just waving the jacket around absolutely wildly.
"Ah!" an unlucky Beemarine shouted as a swing blew her away—I could only hope her thick skin saved her from serious injuries.
Now everybody had to work even harder to dodge the attacks, including me! Way too many of them were thrown in my direction specifically, since I was still the most noticeable bee around.
However, my danger-averse reflexes and my agility kept me on top of the swings.
Over and over and over…
’When you will fucking get tired?!’ I mentally shouted.
I was panting myself. My stamina went to 〔11/38〕, while Jit’s was only at 〔67/110〕. Your journey continues on novelbuddy
That was just too much stamina to compete against!
I could only hope that Malevolence’s team would get to Jit in time—but it wasn’t like he was standing in one place, not moving around at all.
Meantime, other Beemarines were getting as tired as I am. At least, Jit’s focus on me was giving them an opportunity to take short breaks and catch their breaths.
Despite the dark thoughts in my head, I gritted my teeth and kept dodging—right now, I couldn’t do much else. If I tried to get closer, the giant would either easily run away, or definitely catch me with one of his swings—like the one I just dodged.
However, as I felt momentary relief about (yet again) not being smacked like a fly, I heard a gasp behind me.
When I turned around…
"Destroyer!"
Unlike her sisters, Destroyer was dodging all the ray of blows that fell on my head—and now she reached her limit. And now Jit’s jacket swing threw her tumbling to the ground.
In a brief moment before she fell too far for me to see her face, I saw her open her mouth, as if to gasp, or call for help.
But Destroyer said nothing—the breath must’ve been knocked out of her. Instead, she pointed behind me.
I turned around and saw Jit’s jacket rising for a backward swing.
Even now, Destroyer was warning me about danger!
’Damned humans! Couldn’t you have just left Camp Rich and the Bee Empire alone? What have we ever done to you?! Stealing one coin surely doesn’t count—you don’t even know we were the ones who did it!’
With these curses, I flew away from the approaching swing, but way before it could reach me, I knew I got too distracted by Destroyer.
In half a second, brown fabric covered half the sky. In another half a second, it approached close enough that I could make out individual threads. Each of them was a rope thicker than my wrist.
’If we got just one of these, Hive Supremo’s need for thread would be sated for a month,’ I had time to think before the swing got me.
〔You take 6 damage.〕
"FUUUUUUCK!"
I was dunked to the ground like a basketball!
Gasping for breath, I frantically beat my wings to slow down my fall. Thankfully, the immense distance to the ground gave me plenty of time, and I successfully landed on top of a fern tree, down to 〔20/36〕 health points.
’Good armor really helps. My Beemarines got more damage from similar blows.’
I patted the engraving on my chest, feeling immensely grateful to Things-Things—when I heard a loud thud nearby and sounds of crushed trees.
When I raised my head, I saw the towering figure of Jit above me. The young giant human abandoned waving his jacket—instead, he was raising a leg over my head.
From here, I could see every crease and clump of dirt on the leather sole of the boot that was going to stomp me to death!
