The next morning arrived and Aquarina jumped out of bed, noticing she was all sweaty. Although the nights were cold around here, once the morning came it would get so hot she would start sweating almost instantly. Also the air became very heavy inside of houses made of wood, hence why everything was made of stone so it would remain a bit colder inside.

"Phew… Ugh, I still can’t get used to this heat in the mornings."

She yawned as she walked to the bathroom. Although this place was very desertic and natural water was rare and precious, there was magic. With magic, creating things such as water, ice, and fire were as easy as breathing.

Hence, despite these people not even having an oasis nearby, they never had problems with water supplies, as they could simply create it for themselves.

"Hahh~ This is life."

Aquarina took a bath of very cold water, she even added a lot of ice cubes to the magic circle above her head. The heat was strong, so the colder the better.

After having washed away all her sweat and feeling fresh, she washed her long, white hair, which she had only cut a bit since she arrived here.

She liked it long, despite most other warriors in this tribe having it quite short so it wouldn’t get in the way of their battle, Aquarina had always liked her hair being long and silky.

Sylphy always praised her long hair, caressed it, and loved its scent, so she also kept it because her girlfriend liked it a lot.

"Finally done…"

After using a Cold Wind Spell, and drying her body, she quickly dressed up, mostly with some loose clothes, like a white robe covering a bit of her chest, and a short white skirt with sandals.

Once done, she sat down over her bed for a moment, looking at a bag with her things, and taking out a little bit of red-colored hair.

"Sylphy…"

She hugged the lock of hair, while sniffing its scent.

Even after a year, it still had her scent.

The scent of her shampoo and her body.

It was a nice, comforting, floral scent, which was also a bit warm and nice.

Just by smelling this scent every morning, Aquarina felt like Sylphy was with her.

"I miss you…"

She kissed the lock of hair and then preciously saved it inside a little wooden box.

She looked into the village outside, people already were up, moving here and there, kids were running and playing, some people were training, others were bringing their morning hunts.

"Once I’m finally done with all of this… We’ll meet again!"

As she felt full of energy, Aquarina smiled, quickly running downstairs to greet her parents, who were already having breakfast.

"Morning!"

"Ah, good morning Aquarina." Her father greeted her while drinking some coffee.

"Aquarina, come fetch your pancakes, they’re still warm!" Her mother called her from the outdoors kitchen.

"Ah, yeah!"

Aquarina ran outside, as she brought back to the dinning table a huge table with a pile of ten steaming hot pancakes covered with syrup and fruits.

"Hmm!"

She licked her lips, rapidly pouring some whipped cream on top before she started eating ravenously, wolfing down her meal in a matter of seconds.

"Haha, hungry today aren’t you?" her father laughed. "Here, I made you some sandwiches. You said you were going out today as well? Preparing yourself for the trial?"

"Yeah!" she nodded. "We’re going to a nearby oasis. Justicio said there’s a water serpent, it might be a good material to evolve Leviathan!"

"Ooh, so that’s what it is!" nodded her mother, sitting down and enjoying a plate full of roasted meat and fried eggs, alongside a side of greens. "Pancakes alone won’t do for the trip then, have some meat too!"

She quickly placed a similar plate at her side.

"Fine!" Aquarina started eating the second plate of food right after devouring ten pancakes in a matter of seconds.

The meat was the wyvern meat she hunted yesterday, it was incredibly soft and juicy, and with all the delicious spices her mother added, it had gained a delicious, tangy, sweet, and slightly spicy flavor.

"Oh, this is so good!"

At her current Physique stage, Aquarina needed to eat a large quantity of food to remain healthy and strong. So just pancakes, which were mostly carbohydrates, wouldn’t do.

To keep her muscles strong, she required a lot of proteins, and that meant tons of meat!

Luckily, the Dry Stepps were as dangerous as they were a bounty of delicious meats everywhere, most monsters in this area were all easily edible, and huge.

This was one of the reasons why she always saw people bringing huge prey every morning, the people of Everstone were just as voracious, if not more than her.

Sometimes a huge beast would feed a whole family for at most, three days!

"Phew… Thanks for the meal."

Aquarina finished off her meal by drinking a whole glass of cold goat milk freshly from her family’s little farm, which had a huge Sunlight Goat they had somehow gotten here.

She patted her belly, which had become slightly swollen, but that in a couple of hours would go back to normal and she would get hungry again.

"Alright I’m going!" she said, quickly grabbing the five sandwiches her father prepared for her, storing them inside her Storage Ring. "Byee! I’ll come back for dinner maybe! I’ll have lunch there, whatever we get!"

"Ah, sure, are you bringing all your cooking kit though?!" her mother wondered as she screamed at Aquarina, who was already running across the streets.

"Yeaaah!"

As she disappeared amidst the crowd, her parents sighed.

"Well, there she goes…" her mother said, caressing her belly, which had already grown rather big. "Oh?"

She felt something…

"What happened?" Shade wondered.

"A little kick," giggled Nepheline. "It seems our baby wanted to join their sister… Hehe."

"Oh, can I touch?" Shade quickly walked to the side of his giant wife, caressing her big pregnant belly. "Ah, it’s so warm- Oh! I felt it too!"

"It’s quite active today! Hmm… maybe in a bit it’ll be born, I can already feel it has gotten big enough!" Nepheline said.

"Really? But it hasn’t even been seven months yet…" Shade said.

"Amazonian kids usually are born a bit earlier than other human tribes," Nepheline smiled. "Anyways, let’s go swim to the pool!"

While Aquarina had been training the entire year, her parents considered this more of a long summer vacation than anything…
