Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer-Chapter 1019: Popular Training Hall
Chapter 1019: Popular Training Hall
"Don’t push me! I’ll kill anyone who dares to shove me away if we meet outside the town!"
"I was here first, so don’t even think about getting ahead of me."
"Enough with your so-called being first. I have the money and I can pay more to get ahead."
Players kept screaming and yelling over each other, hoping to become the first person to enter the mysterious Training Hall.
Amidst the commotion, Kailey brought Nastaha over to the side where it was less dense and crowded.
"Is the Training Hall even open?" Natasha furrowed her brows and questioned. There was a large number of players crowding outside the training hall, but it didn’t seem like the building was planning on opening it to them.
"It’s open, but the registration to become a temporary member has yet to be processed." Kailey smiled lightly and explained.
"A temporary member?" Dumbfounded, Natasha nearly thought she had misheard Kailey’s words. "Did you mean a membership to use the facility within the training hall?"
"No, a temporary member. As in one who could only enter for a brief moment, something like a small trial version."
"..."
Natasha was on the verge of cursing vulgarly and called the Vanguard Guild the most capitalistic guild in the Divine World. Not only was every place they explored required some sort of fee, but even the membership for the training hall was temporary and not permanent.
This was no different than forcing a subscription policy on players in which they must pay either weekly, monthly, or yearly.
She frowned deeply and asked, "Aren’t the Vanguard Guild being too much of a capitalistic guild? Or do your guild higher-ups believe many players are wealthy enough to afford this kind of fee?"
"Capitalistic?" Amused, Kailey quickly chuckled.
"That isn’t correct, Natasha. The temporary membership is only for those who didn’t wish to join our guild chamber of commerce." She continued, bringing up the chamber of commerce matter.
Almost immediately, Natasha was startled by the sudden news about a chamber of commerce.
She staggered a few steps and barely managed to regulate her frantic emotion.
With her lips somewhat twitching, she asked for confirmation. "You’re saying the Vanguard Guild has created their own chamber of commerce? If I recall, this specific plane was dominated by the Miracle Chamber of Commerce of the Miracle Pavilion."
The Miracle Pavilion was an intelligence network organization that spanned all across the planes. Their influence and wealth were no joke. Even Natasha needed to tread carefully when encountering them.
Yet now she was being informed that the Vanguard Guild was essentially provoking such an entity.
Was there even a need for her to orchestrate a Reave Town to destroy the Vanguard Guild?
’Damn it, if I knew this guild was a lunatic, then I should have just stayed as a bystander.’ Natasha cursed silently.
While Natasha was internally frustrated by the circumstances, a person suddenly approached them.
"Sorry, but I’ve overheard you speaking about joining some chamber of commerce that could enable one to become a member of the training hall?" Xu Feng, who was currently disguised as Nathan, asked curiously.
Kailey was initially startled by someone creeping up behind them, but she was rather professional. She hurriedly composed herself and nodded.
"Yes, if one joined the Vanguard Chamber of Commerce, they could apply to become a member of the training hall. The higher the ranking the member was, the greater the benefit would be." She then explained the process somewhat clearly to the disguised Xu Feng.
Given that this was information meant to be revealed sooner or later, Kailey didn’t feel any need to conceal it.
Additionally, the person of interest was here, and Kailey realized this unknown person had unintentionally assisted her in spilling some information without looking deliberate.
’Hehe, this unknown man sure knows how to assist me greatly.’ Kailey thought to herself gleefully.
She remained completely oblivious and unaware that the situation was all planned by Xu Feng.
He had noticed Natasha didn’t seem to be taking the bait much. So he decided to intervene as well as establish contact with her while appearing innocent.
"How does one join the Vanguard Chamber of Commerce?" Xu Feng asked with eyes full of interest and desire. It was as if he couldn’t afford to delay the matter and allow others to get ahead.
Sure enough, his sudden inquiry effectively caused Natasha to feel a sense of pressure. She was being guided by Kailey, so she wasn’t panicking or worrying like the players in the crowd who refused the services.
But she never anticipated someone so shameless as Xu Feng to appear and snatch away her tour guide.
"Ahem, excuse me, but she’s my tour guide." Natasha faked a cough and said, "If you want to inquire for information, then please return to the teleport platform and hire another tour guide."
Unfazed by her words, Xu Feng harrumphed. "So what if you paid for the tour guide? You didn’t even seem interested until I stepped in."
After saying so, Xu Feng retrieved 10 silver coins and said, "Miss, I recall the tour guide fee is 5 silver coins. How about I pay you 10 and you can guide me to register as a member of the chamber of commerce?"
Dumbfounded by his bold action, Natasha gnashed her teeth. "Kailey, I don’t think the Vanguard Guild would be that shameless to abandon a customer in the middle of the process, right? "
Upon hearing that, Kailey flashed an apologetic smile toward the disguised Xu Feng.
"Apologies, but our Vanguard Guild has its ethics," Kailey said and turned to Natasha. "Are you willing to join the Vanguard Chamber of Commerce?"
"I–uh..." Stunned, Natasha realized she had just dug a large hole for herself. If she were to reject the notion, then the unknown man in front of her would definitely snatch the opportunity away. But if she were to agree to the notion, then wouldn’t that mean she tied herself to the Vanguard Guild’s fate?
’Fuck, just where did this shameless and unscrupulous man come from?’ Natasha placed all the blame on the disguised Xu Feng for her current dilemma.
