Taking a deep breath, Xu Feng’s expression couldn’t be any more serious as he lifted his finger and pressed the [Yes] button.

As soon as the click was heard, Xu Feng found himself being teleported to another dimension, almost as if he was being forcefully pulled into another place.

It was a stark contrast compared to the usual Teleport Platform. He felt nauseous and his eyes nearly turned hazy from the teleportation process.

Still, he quickly composed himself and ignored that kind of feeling as he glanced around his surroundings.

System: You have 5 minutes to choose the Hidden Class that you want!

Once he read the system prompt. There were four types of classes that appeared on the list for Xu Feng to choose from: Origin Sorcerer, Origin Summoner, Origin Arcane Mage, and Origin Cleric.

"Huh, so I can still choose other classes in the same category?" Surprised, Xu Feng wasn’t anticipating such choices.

Those were all classes in the Mage category, which meant that the Origin Hidden Class wasn’t restricted to the player’s class, but its category.

"Is it category-specific and not class-specific?" He wondered. Explore stories at novelbuddy

By that theory, it meant that if he was a Berserker then he would have Origin Hidden Class in the Warrior category, and the same goes for the Specialist category.

Since this was his first time physically taking the Origin Trial, he had no knowledge whatsoever. He was truly doing this raw and had to think on his feet. There was no advanced or future knowledge that he could utilize to pass.

’Well, it’s not like I’ll become a cripple if I don’t know what’s coming.’ Amused, Xu Feng was ready to tackle any upcoming challenges.

And although the system allowed him 5 minutes to choose, he wasted no time and chose Origin Cleric.

"I didn’t choose Cleric just to abandon it." Xu Feng smirked, completely unfazed by the number of choices. If he wasn’t going to play a healer and get a hidden class revolving around it, then why would he choose this class to begin with?

And to his surprise, the moment he chose Cleric, he saw another system prompt, congratulating him.

System: Congrats on sticking to your class and not choosing any other related category class! You’ve passed the first test of determination!

"..."

Speechless, Xu Feng didn’t realize his theory was instantly shattered by the system. It wasn’t that the Origin Pass allowed the player to change their class type, but it was a test of their determination and how much they love their class.

Thankfully, Xu Feng wasn’t some indecisive person. Had he been one, then he would have failed the first test and been ejected from this unknown dimension.

How frustrating would that be?

You worked so hard to finally obtain such a rare opportunity, only to lose it because you didn’t choose your class specifically.

Xu Feng could easily visualize that a lot of people would have failed and they probably kept their mouths shut as well from such embarrassment.

’This Origin Trial really cannot be predicted.’ He realized that he couldn’t be relaxed at any moment, lest the trial would consume him whole.

Sometime later, the dimension shifted and three new motion pictures appeared in front of him.

Scene 1: Dynasty Era

Scene 2: Modern Era

Scene 3: Interstellar Era

In each of the three scenes, it depicts a different type of era.

System: Please choose a scene that you wish to be transported to!

After reading the new system prompt, Xu Feng glanced at the scenes very closely. Since there was no time limit to choose this time, he wasn’t going to rush things.

The Dynasty Era depicted a political court system resembling how there was an Emperor and many court officials with positions such as chancellor and those in the upper first rank to the lowest ninth rank.

However, the focus wasn’t on political court struggle or scheming against fellow officials, but rather on the imperial physicians who had to attend and cure important royalty.

’If I choose the Dynasty Era, then my role is probably related to significant royalty being sick and my action could either cause the dynasty to be in peril or prosperity.’ Xu Feng tried his best to deduce what the scene would be about.

Nevertheless, he got the gist of the Dynasty Era, so he moved on to the Modern Era. Luckily, the Modern Era scene seemed way more simple and easier to understand.

There was a doctor in the hospital, classified as the typical best surgeon, and had to deal with treating VIPs.

"Isn’t this scene the kind of drama that Kai usually watches? It’s so cliche and bland. The protagonist just cures every patient and always fails one or two patients who had major plot points that make them reconsider their career." Xu Feng shook his head and frowned at scene 2.

Shifting his attention, he then looked at Scene 3 Interstellar Era, which seemed more impressive and flashy.

It had the typical spaceship battle in the galaxy on some random yet resourceful planet.

Just when the battle was about to reach its peak, the commander of the supposed "good side" suddenly fainted, prompting the one and only capable role: healer, to arrive to cure the commander.

No matter which era it was, these three scenes all exhibited one common point.

It was the fact that healers were indispensable because, without them, those in the ruling position would never be healthy enough to actually lead their people. Support played such an extreme role yet always got underestimated and blindsided.

’They think healers are something they can just push and shove around, but I’ll let them know that it’s the opposite.’ Xu Feng adjusted his glasses and sneered inwardly.

The scenes that were displayed to him weren’t about the greatness of a Cleric.

Instead, it was about the Cleric’s Origin, and how their role came to a realization.

However, what the system depicted was something Xu Feng heavily disagreed with.

"The system really wanted to provoke me eh." He murmured, feeling challenged.
