REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO-Chapter 301: Introduction At The Long Family
"This is the Spirit Mountain, Young Master," Hueng said as he turned toward Logan.
Logan's eyes widened. "It's… It's really huge."
"It is," Hueng replied with a small smile. "Eight families live within the mountain. And even though we formed a formation a thousand years ago to separate it from the outside world, we used to live in seclusion long before that."
"Because you wanted to protect the legacy?" Logan asked.
"Yes, Young Master," Hueng said respectfully.
Xiao and Chianxu stood a few steps behind them, quietly listening to the conversation.
"Let's go inside then, Young Master," Hueng gestured toward the towering slope.
Logan nodded and began walking. There was no visible barrier, but the moment he stepped forward, he felt it.
The air itself split — like crossing an invisible wall. On the other side, a thick wave of spiritual energy washed over him.
It was rich. Dense. Almost heavy.
Logan took a slow breath. 'Amazing… it feels like all the spiritual energy from the outside world has been pulled here.'
"Is it this easy to walk in and out of the barrier?" Logan finally asked. He didn't see any fluctuation, any light, any opening… nothing.
"No," Chianxu answered this time. She stepped forward and pulled out a glowing jade crystal from her robe. "To enter, we need this. A Jade Crystal. It can allow up to five people to pass through."
"I see." Logan nodded. The reason made sense now.
"This way, Young Master," Hueng said again.
They continued walking deeper into the mountain. The path slowly rose. Trees on both sides shimmered under the spiritual light. The leaves looked fresher and brighter, as if they had been washed by energy itself. Strange birds flew above them with long, colorful tails. Even the soil under their feet felt alive and warm.
After some time, a massive structure appeared ahead of them.
Logan froze.
This was not a house.
It was more like a fortress — no, a sect. It stretched more than a hundred meters on each side, and the back disappeared so far into the distance that he couldn't even see where it ended.
Ancient patterns were carved on the pillars. The roof rose high like a grand palace. A soft layer of spiritual mist drifted around it, giving the whole structure an ethereal glow.
"Do all eight families live here?" Logan asked in disbelief.
"No, Young Master," Hueng replied proudly. "This is only where our Long Family resides."
"What? Just your family?" Logan asked, stunned.
"Yes, Young Master. Even though we call it a mountain, the area inside is so vast that it is no less than a full village."
Logan looked around again, slowly taking in every detail — the grand halls, the towering walls, the serene mist swirling at his feet.
And he finally understood something.
Spirit Mountain wasn't simply a hidden refuge. It was an entire world of its own. And he had just stepped inside it.
"This way, Young Master," Hueng said again, leading Logan toward the entrance of the massive structure.
They stepped through a large wooden door and entered a long corridor. The air inside was even richer, almost humming with spiritual force. Soft lanterns glowed along the walls, lighting their path with a calm, golden hue.
After a short walk, the corridor opened into a grand hall.
Logan halted.
The hall was enormous — wide, tall, and filled with people. Many men and women stood in rows, all wearing robes marked with the emblem of the Long Family. Their faces held excitement, nervousness, and anticipation. It was clear they had been waiting.
The moment Logan and the others entered, everyone bowed deeply.
"Greetings, Master!" 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Their voices echoed across the hall like thunder.
Before Logan could even react, one young woman stepped forward. She looked to be in her early twenties, her eyes bright with expectation.
"Master, where is the person who awakened the ability?" she asked Hueng eagerly.
Her gaze swept over the group… and briefly landed on Logan, but she dismissed him instantly.
Not just her — everyone did.
Whispers rose.
"Who's that boy? Is he the one?"
"Impossible… He is only fifteen or sixteen. No way it's him."
"Chianxu said the awakened one was powerful. This child is clearly not him."
The shock in the room grew heavier with each passing moment.
Finally, Hueng raised his hand, silencing them.
"You all asked for the awakened one," he said calmly. "Allow me to introduce him to you."
He stepped aside and gestured toward Logan.
"This… is Young Master Logan. And he's the one you all had been waiting for desperately."
The hall froze. Every jaw dropped.
Even the woman who had asked the question stared at Logan as if she had misheard.
"H-He… him?" she stuttered.
"That boy?"
"He looks younger than my nephew…" One middle-aged woman whispered.
"No… this can't be…" Another said.
"But Master Hueng wouldn't lie…"
Gasps spread across the hall as the truth settled in. None of them had expected this. Not a young expert. Not a middle-aged warrior. Not an elder who had trained for centuries.
But a sixteen-year-old.
And it wasn't only the members of the Long Family who were stunned. Several other groups were standing nearby — each wearing robes with different emblems, representing the other Spirit Families who shared Spirit Mountain. Their family heads and elders had also arrived, waiting to see the legendary figure who had awakened the sealed ability.
Now they, too, were frozen.
One of the elders shook his head in disbelief. "The heavens are truly unpredictable."
Hueng stepped forward again and began introducing them one by one.
"Young Master Logan, these are the heads of the other four Spirit Families."
He pointed to the first man — tall, sharp-eyed, with silver hair tied neatly.
"This is Master Wei Zhong of the Zhong Family."
Wei Zhong bowed deeply. "It is an honor, Young Master." He still looked skeptical, though.
Hueng then motioned to a broad-shouldered man with a fierce but respectful expression.
"And this is Master Han Rui of the Rui Family."
Han Rui nodded firmly. "Your presence brings hope to us all."
Next, Hueng pointed toward a middle-aged woman dressed in graceful robes, her aura calm and steady.
"This is Mistress Shen Lian of the Lian Family."
She placed her hand on her chest and bowed. "Welcome, Young Master."
Finally, Hueng stepped aside and gestured toward an elderly but energetic-looking man whose eyes held a sharp glint of wisdom.
"And this is Elder Feng Dao of the Dao Family."
Feng Dao smiled warmly. "To witness such talent at this age… the mountain has been blessed."
Logan nodded politely to each of them, though inwardly he felt a little awkward beneath all the attention. Even so, he maintained a calm expression.
