REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO-Chapter 303: Five Sources
Perk Dao clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms.
Yet he said nothing.
Because he knew — this was the end.
Feng Dao watched the exchange silently. When the hall finally calmed, his gaze drifted briefly toward the corridor where Lin Dao stood.
Fate was already moving. Whether they liked it or not.
Meanwhile, in the grand library of spirit mountain, Logan followed Hueng through a different path.
They walked along a wide stone road lined with towering pillars. Symbols glowed faintly along the ground, forming ancient arrays that Logan could barely comprehend.
Soon, the path opened into an immense courtyard. And at its center....
A structure that made Logan stop in his tracks. It wasn’t just a building. It was a monument.
A massive circular tower rose toward the sky, layered with countless balconies and inscriptions. Countless jade plaques hovered around it, slowly rotating as if guided by invisible hands.
"This..." Logan murmured.
"The Grand Library," Hueng said. His voice carried reverence. "It belongs not to one family, but to all Spirit Families."
Logan felt it immediately. Knowledge. So much knowledge that the air itself felt heavy with it.
"This place contains cultivation manuals, ancient records, legacy fragments, and historical truths," Hueng continued. "Some dating back to the era when earth was separated from upper heavens."
Logan’s heartbeat quickened.
Hueng turned to him, his expression solemn.
"Inside this library," he said, "you’ll learn the truth about the Golden Dragon’s Legacy."
He placed a hand on the massive door.
"And about your role in what’s to come."
The doors slowly began to open. A blinding golden light spilled forth. And Logan stepped forward into the echoes of a destiny that had waited thousands of years for him to arrive.
Logan paused just before stepping fully into the Grand Library. He took a breath, then turned slightly. "Elder Hueng," Logan said, his voice steady, "Aren’t you going to accompany me?"
Hueng smiled faintly and shook his head.
"No, Young Master," he replied calmly. "It would be better if you search through the history yourself."
Logan blinked, surprised.
Hueng continued, his tone slow and deliberate. "This is not only about the Golden Dragon’s Legacy. What lies within these walls is far greater than a single inheritance. You should understand the history of Earth itself... the reason it exists as it does today." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
His gaze sharpened slightly. "You should learn about the origins of different races," Hueng added, "their purposes, and the sources of energy they draw power from. Only then will you truly understand where you stand, and what path lies ahead."
Logan fell silent. He could feel it. This wasn’t guidance meant to be spoon-fed. This was a crossroads — one where he had to walk alone.
"I understand," Logan said after a moment, nodding respectfully.
Hueng stepped aside, gesturing toward the interior of the tower. "One more thing," he said. "Do not start from the lower floors. Begin on the fifth floor."
Logan raised an eyebrow. "The fifth?"
Hueng smiled again, this time with meaning. "The history or knowledge recorded in the lower floors aren’t important for your journey. The fifth floor has what you truly need."
With that, Hueng turned away, his robes fluttering softly as he left Logan alone before the towering entrance.
Logan watched him go for a brief second.
Then, without hesitation, he stepped inside.
The moment Logan crossed the threshold, the world outside seemed to vanish.
The inside of the Grand Library was vast, far larger than it appeared from the outside. Rows upon rows of towering bookshelves stretched endlessly, curving along the circular interior of the structure. Scrolls rested within transparent glass cupboards, sealed with faint protective runes. Soft light crystals embedded into the walls illuminated the space with a gentle glow.
The air was still. Silent. Yet it felt... alive.
Without wasting time, Logan headed straight for the staircase.
Each step echoed softly as he climbed. The further he went, the denser the atmosphere became. By the time he reached the fifth floor, even his breathing felt slightly restrained — not uncomfortable, but unmistakably different.
The fifth floor opened into a vast circular hall.
Unlike the lower floors, this level was quieter.
Fewer shelves. More space. Long study tables were arranged neatly in the center, each accompanied by simple wooden chairs. The bookshelves here were older — darker wood, thicker bindings, and titles engraved in ancient script rather than ink.
Logan stepped forward slowly, his eyes scanning the shelves.
He wasn’t sure what he was looking for.
Only that he would know it when he saw it.
Minutes passed as he walked along the shelves, reading titles carved into spines and plaques.
’Origins of the Immortal Realm.’
’The Rise and Fall of the Upper Heavens.’
’Chronicles of the First War Between Gods.’
Each title sent a faint chill down his spine, but none felt quite right. Then his gaze stopped.
A single book, resting alone on a shelf, its cover plain and unadorned.
’Five Sources of Energy.’
Logan’s heart skipped. "Let’s give it a try," he murmured.
He reached out and pulled the book free. It was heavier than it looked. Taking it with him, Logan walked to one of the central tables and sat down. The chair creaked softly beneath his weight as he placed the book before him.
For a moment, he simply stared at it. Then he opened the first page.
’Different races harness different types of energy due to their unique internal structures, bloodlines, and physiological conditions.’
Logan’s eyes narrowed as he continued reading.
’However, despite these differences, all known cultivation systems stem from five primary sources of energy.’
He turned the page.
’These five sources form the foundation of all known paths to power.’
His grip tightened slightly.
’They are:
Spiritual Energy.
Chaotic Energy.
Mana.
Life Spectrum.
Mind Essence Energy.’
Logan leaned forward unconsciously.
’Spiritual Energy, the most common source and highly used by humans. It exists naturally within the environment, absorbed through different breathing techniques and refined through the body.’
