Chapter 314: New Threats

Ali Arkman arrived at the Smith Villa in a cloud of dust and then got off the horse. The moment his boots touched the ground, his heart sank.

Something was wrong. Terribly wrong.

The gates were wide open. The walls were cracked. The courtyard was in ruins.

"Damn it! What the hell happened here?" He didn’t even bother tying his horse. He rushed inside.

The main hall was a mess. Furniture overturned. Traces of battle everywhere. Cracks on the floor. Broken pillars. Dried blood.

Ali ran through the corridors. "Mr. Rudeous! Lady Alice! Rowan! Daliah! Lilith!"

No answer. He searched every room. Every corridor. Every corner of the estate.

But nothing. Not a single person. His heart started pounding harder and harder. He came outside disheartened.

Then...

Suddenly.....

His eyes fell on the courtyard ground. There were words carved crudely into the stone.

Not written with ink. But carved with force.

’Logan. Come to the Abandoned Valley if you want your parents alive. Don’t bring anyone with you.’

Ali’s pupils shrank. His veins bulged.

"Kuh!" He clenched his fists so hard they trembled. "Damn it... damn it!"

He looked around helplessly. "What should I do...? I don’t even know where Logan is! If anything happens to them... how will I ever show my face to him?!"

His chest felt like it was being crushed. But he didn’t know what to do at this very moment....

Meanwhile...

In the Grand Library. Logan closed the ancient book slowly. He had spent the entire night reading. Absorbing. Thinking. As if he himself was living another life, Seika Solwyn’s life.

"Need to relax my mind a bit before I can absorb more."

He stood up, stretched his shoulders, and let out a slow breath. "Let’s go outside and enjoy the morning breeze a little."

Stepping out of the library, he began walking leisurely through the quiet pathways of Spirit Mountain.

The morning air was cool. Peaceful. Too peaceful. Carried by the gentle breeze, the distant chirping of birds echoed softly. On the far horizon, only a faint golden glow could be seen. The air was filled with dense spiritual energy.

It felt incredibly soothing. He continued to savor the moment as he walked forward.

Suddenly...

His steps stopped. His pupils shrank as his instincts screamed.

Danger!

The air grew noticeably heavy as four figures landed before him silently.

Logan’s heart sank. The pressure they emitted was suffocating.

His senses were going wild. ’Strong... No. Not just strong. Terrifying.’ He thought.

Logan had once been a Martial Emperor in his past life. He knew precisely what that realm felt like. But these four... They were far beyond that.

"Don’t tell me..." Logan muttered under his breath, his eyes narrowing, "They’re all Martial Sovereigns?"

One of them stepped forward. A tall man with cold eyes and a face devoid of emotion.

"Boy," he said calmly, "if you don’t want to taste pain, come with us without resisting. Otherwise, what comes with defiance... won’t be something you can handle."

"Who are you guys? What do you want with me?" Logan asked.

"Don’t ask unnecessary questions. Do whatever you’re told to. You’re not worthy to get answers from us." The man from earlier said.

Logan didn’t reply this time. But inside his mind....

Thoughts were spinning like a storm.

’Can I win? No. There is no chance.

Not against four of them.’ He thought. Not even in his peak condition.

’My only option is to stall... and wait for help.’

But immediately another thought struck him.

’Wait for who?’

It was early morning. There was no one around. No one could reach here in time.

The more he thought, the more his heart sank.

Seeing that Logan didn’t respond, the man frowned slightly and looked at one of his companions. He gestured. "Go. Bring him."

The man stepped forward. And at that moment....

Logan made his decision. ’I can only bet on luck. I need to create a big commotion so others can notice and come for help.’

His posture changed. He took a fighting stance. His aura exploded outward.

The approaching man’s eyes sharpened.

Logan moved. He didn’t hold back. Not even a little. With the level of strength his opponent had, he didn’t dare to.

His internal energy surged to its limit. But not just that. Lightning crackled around his arm.

And then....

He threw a punch that could kill a Martial Saint in one blow. A punch that would severely injure even a Martial Emperor seriously.

The man’s eyes flashed. He reacted fast. He crossed his arms in front of his chest.

Boom!!!

A thunderous explosion echoed through the mountains.

The ground beneath them cracked. Shockwaves swept outward.

Logan was flung backward, his feet carving long trenches in the stone before he managed to stabilize himself.

Meanwhile, the man took two steps back.

Only two.

Both of them froze.

Logan’s pupils shrank. ’He... blocked it?’

That punch contained both his internal energy and lightning magic.

And yet...

The man only took two steps back.

The man who blocked it was even more shocked.

"A Martial Saint... pushed me back?" He slowly lowered his arms.

His eyes turned cold and serious.

"The gap between Martial Emperor and Martial Sovereign is a heaven and earth difference. And yet... you did this."

The three standing behind were also shocked.

What they had just witnessed was simply too unbelievable.

It was already hard enough to accept that Logan had reached the Martial Saint realm at the age of only sixteen. When their family head had given them this mission, they had barely believed it.

But now... this?

Did logic even mean anything to this boy anymore?

The same question rose in all of their minds. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Logan forced himself to his feet.

"I can’t let them take me... no matter what," he whispered.

He wiped the blood from the corner of his lips, then straightened his back and steadied his stance, bracing himself for what was about to come crashing down upon him.
