REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO-Chapter 67: GRAVITY LOVER
Chapter 67: GRAVITY LOVER
Both the participants headed toward the stage.
As the fans roared and shook the arena with cheers, Lilith entered from the left gate. She looked confident. Like this was just another practice session for her. Not a match worth being concerned for. But her heart still pounded a bit faster. It didn’t come from being worried about the match though.
It was the thrill of facing someone really strong that made her heart race. Lilith was in her usual fighting attire.
And from the right gate entered a figure clad in a crimson cloak and a gold crest levelled on it. Prince Rowan. His face was calm as ever. He was also excited about this match. But only a little. Not like the earlier match with Logan.
Both of them strode forward and came to halt, standing 10 metres away.
Rowan was tall. 180 cm. Compared to him, Lilith seemed like a kid. Which she actually was. But the height difference was too contrast now.
The referee stood at the middle. He looked at both the participants and asked in a polite tone, as one participant was a prince himself, "Participants, ready?"
Both Rowan and Lilith gave a slight nod.
"Then let’s begin." The referee’s clear shout tore through the air in the arena.

"I know you are very strong, Prince. I hope this match won’t be as boring as earlier matches." Lilith was still smug but her voice was laced with respect this time. What else could she do? She was in front of the prince after all.
Rowan didn’t say anything. His natural personality had returned. Now he seemed like the actual 3rd prince.
And while the match with Logan? He didn’t seem like the real Rowan at all. It felt like an imposter was fighting instead of Rowan. That imposter mimicked everything. Rowan’s strength, skill. He just failed to mimic his personality.
Two!
The crowd wasn’t still cheering. They were waiting for the match to begin with their pounding hearts. The tension was too tense. Not just in the commoner’s gallery. But in the upper balconies as well where the nobles leaned forward with anticipation in their eyes.
This wasn’t just a match. It was a test to determine to whom the word prodigy truly belonged to.
One!
Begin!
Action started, though not with rushness. But slowly. Like it wasn’t a fight. But an art exhibition program.
Lilith raised her right hand pointing at Rowan. And a burst of air blades shot toward Rowan whistling in the air.
Rowan didn’t even raise his hand. Fire conjured in the air like a blaze and consumed all the blades.
Rowan wanted to put some effort. But he didn’t feel like to. After fighting Logan, Lilith’s attack felt like a tickle. There was no contempt in his face.
But Lilith could feel it. And it angered her.
"I will make you regret looking down on me." She thought to herself.
Then she bent down a bit and her legs coiled like a spring. The ground cracked beneath her.
Then she released it and shot toward Rowan like a cannon. Air still spiralled in her leg like a motor pushing her whole.
Within a blink of an eye she was in front of Rowan. Rowan was about to raise his hand to block the attack, but a sudden invisible force pressed down on him. His legs bent and he was about to collapse. Just then without giving him a chance to even think, came Lilith’s punch buzzing with lightning. Rowan blocked it but the impact still sent him skidding backward. Before he could even breathe relief a strong air bomb came and slammed in his chest. This time he was sent flying through the air.
The crowd erupted in cheers.
Damn! Did you see that? She sent the prince flew back.
Yeah! She is really a little monster.
"What? Are you missing your last opponent too much that your focus isn’t even here? You better watch your step or I can help you leave this place faster. Once I beat you of course." Lilith blurted out pointing at Rowan.
In the balcony Noah sighed and touched his forehead in resignation. "This girl’s mouth is going to get her in trouble one day." He was concerned about the outcome for Lilith’s taunting.
"Don’t worry Mr. Starwind. Prince isn’t a petty person to hold grudges on such small matters." Logan could feel Noah’s concern and that’s why tried to console him.
The Smith family and the Starwind family were again sitting together in this round as well.
In the stage, Rowan slowly stood up, brushing off the dust from his clothes.
Then slowly marched forward in unhurried steps. A faint but visible smile hung in his face.
"Looks like I am meeting too many gravity lovers recently." Rowan thought.
He stopped at a 15 metre distance. The space behind him started to crackle. And out of thin air 4 lightning balls started to be conjured. They spun with such force, it felt like they could devour everything.
Lilith could feel the pressure as well. She took a fighting stance, her fists were glowing with mana as she prepared herself to form an air barrier to defend herself.
Rowan made a hand gesture to go forward and all the four lightning balls hurled toward Lilith. The pressure was so intense that it felt like a tsunami was shooting forward.
Lilith formed the barrier.
But the moment her barrier came in contact with the balls it shattered like a fragile glass.
She reacted first. Speeding up with air boost she dodged almost all the balls. But...
Almost...
This time it was Lilith’s turn to eat dirt.
The last ball still hit her squarely on the shoulder as she tried to dodge it. And flew back like a rag doll.
Wherever the earlier 3 balls hit, craters were created. Lilith hit the ground creating a crater as well.
A dread silence. And then soon it was replaced by thunderous cheers.
