Chapter 147: Chapter 147: Vivian, You’re Really So Kind

Vivian Yates watched Aaron Wyatt’s ramrod-straight figure, a cold glint flashing in her eyes.

She pursed her lips and said in a soft, vulnerable voice, "Faye, don’t say that. Annabelle isn’t that kind of person. Maybe they’re just normal friends?"

"Normal friends?!"

Faye Sheffield immediately bristled, saying indignantly, "What do you mean, normal friends?! Can you call hugging and cuddling in public ’normal friends’?!"

"Vivian, you’re just too kind, letting that bitch hurt you time and again! Have you forgotten when she scalded you with boiling water and then pinned all the blame on you? Have you forgotten how she slandered you in front of Young Master Grant?"

"You’ve done so much for Young Master Grant, but that bitch just won over his younger sister and had Miss Grant insult you in front of all those people! Now Young Master Grant isn’t as warm toward you as he used to be!"

"I swear, only you would still treat a slut like that as a friend. If it weren’t for her, you would be Young Mrs. Grant right now! That bitch stole your position and is so damn shameless about it. Isn’t she afraid of karma? That promiscuous, sleep-with-anyone slut!"

Still fuming, she took out her phone again. She found the photo of Annabelle Linton and Aaron Wyatt embracing—which she’d captured earlier while taking pictures of the scenery—and sent it to Leona Grant.

"I’m going to make Young Master Grant see that bitch’s true colors!"

"Faye, don’t—"

Vivian Yates started to protest, only to see the ’Message Sent’ notification pop up.

A triumphant smile silently touched her lips.

’Luckily, that time Leona Grant left his phone in the office, I approved Faye’s friend request.’

’Otherwise, I really wouldn’t have known how to send the photo to Leona Grant.’

"Vivian, it sent! Young Master Grant should see it in a little while. I’m going to make him see that vixen’s true colors," Faye said excitedly.

Then, she looked at Vivian Yates with admiration. "Vivian, I really think Young Master Grant treats you differently. I read online that when a man starts to like a woman, he’ll be nice to her friends."

"Think about it, so many big shots probably don’t even have Young Master Grant’s WeChat, but he accepted my friend request. It proves he has feelings for you! Vivian, I’m so jealous!"

Vivian Yates mentally rolled her eyes, a clear flash of disdain in their depths.

But Faye, lost in her own fantasy, didn’t notice a thing.

Vivian Yates gave a shy smile, then, as if suddenly remembering something, she asked, "Oh, by the way, Faye, do you remember Wendy King?"

"I remember," Faye said, not quite understanding why Vivian would bring her up out of the blue. "What about her?"

"Oh, it’s nothing much. It’s just... do you remember that day we came out of the mall and ran into Wendy King?"

"She was getting beaten up by a crowd, and we got dragged into it. Then the next day, that video about her was leaked online. I haven’t seen her since. Do you know where she is now?"

Faye seemed to think for a moment before replying, "Didn’t she hook up with her brother-in-law? Her sister found out and is divorcing him, trying to make him leave with nothing. Now Wendy King’s reputation is in tatters and she has nowhere to go, so she’s just clinging to her brother-in-law." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"I see." A calculating glint flashed in Vivian Yates’s eyes. "We were friends, after all. No matter what her situation is, I’m sure Wendy King had her reasons. Let’s go visit her in a couple of days."

Faye looked at Vivian, and her image of her friend suddenly grew immensely. "Yeah, okay. Vivian, you’re truly so kind."
