After causing so much destruction in the scattered encampment around the estate, Sarika immediately led her soldiers to their next target, Klover City.

Seeing her father join in the battle, she can rest assured the situation here will be handled well.

"Hurry up! We need to enter the city before they are alert of the situation."

Time wasn't on their side.

They needed to move faster than the news could travel.

The Klover City was not that far from the estate. She was certain there were among the enemy who ran away.

Once Johann caught the wind of their attack, it would be significantly harder to touch the city wall, let alone do anything to him.

Johann can shut the city and wait for her to retreat, knowing very well that the duke doesn't have enough manpower to lay a siege.

Her soldiers spurred their horses to greater speeds. No complaints were heard even though they were extremely tired.

They knew this mission would determine the fate of the duke, his family and the followers supporting them.

Along the way, they encountered scattered deserters mercenaries.

Without hesitation, Sarika ordered her soldiers to attack. "Kill them all! Don't let them reach the city."

The mercenaries stood no chance.

They were swiftly cut down and their cries for mercy were ignored.

Shortly after that, they saw the city wall looming ahead.

As Sarika had expected, the gate was open but heavily guarded.

A line of wagons was making its way out, probably carrying supplies for the mercenaries.

"I knew it!" Sarika slowly exclaimed.

Her heart felt like something wasn't right when they burned the stockpiles in the enemy's encampments.

Now she knew why.

The stockpiles they had burned were disproportional to the size of the army.

She quickly deduced that most of the supply must be stored in the city and only delivered when needed. And there was no more suitable time to send them than now.

She turned to her soldiers, "We will charge into the city at lightning speed. Cut down whatever blocks your path."

The soldiers nodded. They begin to grip their weapons tighter.

Sarika took a deep breath, and then her horse sprinted forward. "Go!"

In an instant, hundreds of cavalry charged towards the city gate with unrelenting force.

The guards stationed at the gate panicked when they saw the troops.

Just by seeing the incoming force, they knew that this cavalry unit was not theirs.

"Stop!" the guards shouted.

They tried to block the path. But their efforts were futile.

All they get is a feeling of searing pain across their body as Sarika's blade finds its mark again.

"We're in!" Sarika shouted, but it was not a time to be happy. "Secure the entrance and hold it! The rest will fight for control over the city wall."

Her command was quickly followed by the soldiers.

A contingent stayed behind to fortify their position at the gate, ensuring no enemy reinforcements could push them back out of the city.

While Sarika gives that order, she leaves the matter of coordination to her troops to decide. Let them think of the strategy by themselves.

The troops she brought were veterans who joined the Southern War campaign.

They have a fair share of experience in capturing cities that are more formidable than Klover City.

As for herself, she only took ten or so soldiers to follow her running around the city.

Her purpose is first, to cause unrest. Secondly, to distract the enemy's attention from the wall. Third, to figure out the location of Johann and his two idiot friends.

From the gate, Sarika and her team start moving randomly through the streets.

Not only that, they also cause as much commotion as possible like knocking over barrels, shouting, and throwing stuff at the windows of houses.

As a result, many sleeping residents begin to wake up one by one.

Curiosity got the better of many, and they peered through their wooden windows to see what was happening outside.

Those who were lucky, caught a glimpse of Sarika and her team as they moved through the city.

Her striking features and distinctive appearance made her easily recognizable.

"Isn't that the duke's daughter?"

"What is she doing here?"

Questions and puzzled expressions spread quickly from house to house. Many start to connect the dots and come to a single conclusion.

"The Duke's forces must be attacking the city!"

People began to panic, fearing that they will get caught in the fight of power struggles.

The growing unrest did not go unnoticed by Sarika. Many want to flee from the city before the situation gets worse.

"Good! The more chaos we created, the busier Johann's forces got. The problem is the scale is still too small."

She signalled her team to keep moving through the labyrinthine streets.

Every now and then, they encountered small groups of Johann's soldiers who were stationed in various places in the city.

However, her happiness didn't last long. A frown begins to appear on her face.

After some time of running around, she still hadn't heard a single word about Johann.

"Where is he hiding? Shouldn't he come out and calm the restless people?"

It was unsettling.

One of her soldiers approached, "My lady, we've searched several key locations, but there's no trace of Johann or his friends."

Sarika's frown deepened. "Keep searching. He has to be here somewhere."

The soldier nodded and hurried off to execute her orders.

Sarika resumes her trot on the horse.

Her thoughts swirled with questions and assumptions as she tried to predict Johann's location.

"By the way, what's the current status at the gate?" she asked.

"We haven't received any news from them yet, My lady."

Sarika stopped in her tracks, narrowing her eyes. "Nothing? Not even a request for reinforcement?"

She knew how hard it was to fight with just several hundred soldiers. But it's doable to achieve victory.

"Nothing, my lady."

Sarika clenched her fists. She decided to regroup with her main force. "Let's go and take a look."
