Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss-Chapter 660 - 634: Everything Is Under Control
Originally, Fugui wanted to chat a bit more, but then his phone emitted a beep, confusing Liumei as she spoke into the receiver, "What’s happening?"
Liumei had no idea that Fugui got so frustrated when his phone suddenly shut down that it drove him straight to the phone store in Q City. As soon as he walked in, he told the salesperson, "Show me the phone with the longest standby time!"
"I’m not asking for the best, just the longest! At least long enough not to run out of battery at a critical moment!"
Liumei was unaware of what happened over there; she was still upset.
"Hung up just like that? At the very least, say ’Goodbye!’ But his voice is really nice..."
"More than nice!" Yu Minglang appeared behind Yu Liumei out of nowhere, flashing a smile that said he was the quintessential good brother.
"My goodness!" Yu Liumei was startled by Xiaoqiang, patting her chest as she glared at Yu Minglang.
"Lang, what are you doing! Sneaking around like a ghost, popping out like that!"
"So is it me who’s the ghost, or do you have ghosts in your heart? Or perhaps a ghost with a really nice voice?"
Don’t underestimate Xiaoqiang, thinking he only researches how to help his wife fix bugs; he can multitask!
The high sugar content in his sister’s voice had reached his ears. Tsk tsk, and she’s even complimenting Fugui’s voice?
"What? I don’t understand what you’re saying..." Yu Liumei guiltily shifted her gaze.
"Liao Fugui, known as Yun Chang, a native of Q City, 28 years old, Han nationality, highest education doctorate, currently working at the Institute of Forensic Psychiatry, about the same rank as my uncle from your family. I suppose the two families are well-matched, right?"
"Lang, what are you talking about? I didn’t understand any of it."
"Oh, then I won’t say more. Actually, I wanted to tell you about Fugui’s romantic history, his view on choosing a partner, and the origin of his name..."
Yu Minglang boldly sprawled on the sofa, crossing his legs.
Liumei was still waiting for more details, but Xiaoqiang had stopped talking.
"Lang, I want to eat cantaloupe!" Liumei said defiantly.
Minglang, seeing the fruit platter nearby, casually picked up one and threw it at her face.
"Damn! Are you trying to ruin my face!" Liumei quickly caught it; it’s fortunate she had some training, or her brother would have smashed it into her face.
"Why don’t you treat my sister-in-law like this? I see you peel the skin, cut it into pieces, and feed it to her with a toothpick! So why throw it at me?"
Yu Minglang, calm and collected, glanced at her, revealing his little tyrant side.
"Do you think my wife is the same as you lot? If you want peeled fruit, find yourself a good man to peel it for you. If the one you’re seeing won’t even do this small thing for you, then what’s the point of keeping him?"
Yu Minglang’s words stirred something within Liumei’s heart, touching upon a core issue. Her ex-boyfriend probably wouldn’t do such things for her, would he?
"I’ll manage my marriage well after I get married. Even if we’re unfamiliar at first, we’ll get closer over time. Effort brings results, right?"
Yu Minglang felt all his effort was a waste. Initially, he wanted to market his rival-in-love reservist to Liumei, yet after singing Fugui’s praises, Liumei was still contemplating improving her boyfriend of two years who only made ten phone calls. Yu Minglang suddenly felt like giving her a good beating, a fierce beating!
This girl must have a lot of muddled thoughts in her head; she won’t turn back unless she hits a wall!
Qian pushed the door open and happened to witness this scene. Seeing Yu Minglang counting on his fingers, Liumei steeped in self-made emotional soup, she immediately understood the situation.
Yu Minglang was about to stand up and hit someone but was stopped by Qian, who shook her head at him.
Accepting something takes time and requires a process. Emotional change must go through phases and repetitions; Liumei’s current state is entirely within Qian’s grasp.
Qian trusted her ability to oversee the situation entirely, so as not to let the Yu Family’s carefully nurtured flower be invaded by a swine.
Yu Minglang shot a glance at Qian, indicating that the tough task was up to her now.
Qian lifted her chin arrogantly, thinking this was nothing. She would certainly restore things to their former status; what belongs to whom will return to whom. No one has any say in her domain.
Xiaoqiang couldn’t help but be attracted by her spirited gaze and leaned in to take a bite, only to hear noises and screams from the next room, as if something had been smashed.
"What’s up with Weiwei? Let me check it out." Liumei stood up, but Qian reached out to stop her.
"No need, it’s a normal reaction. Let her vent it out," she said.
"Sister-in-law, is your empty chair therapy really effective? I just heard from Fugui it felt like driving someone towards mental breakdown!"
"And is it normal for you three to fight like mad dogs just now?" Qian saw it all from upstairs a while ago.
The three of them were certainly having a blast fighting. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
"It’s just that everyone had pent-up emotions with no place to release them!"
"What I’m doing is similar, just a bit deeper than your shallow fighting, allowing her to release her fear. The ability to smash things feels like she’s experiencing the emotions proliferated by the feeling of being unjustly bullied when she plays the role of an animal."
Therefore, when returning to her true self, venting by smashing things.
Releasing emotions is good, better than bottling them up.
"Qian, what is that animal really thinking? How can someone be so shameless? Every time I think of him, I get violent urges." Qiuqiu said while coming out of the kitchen with a dish, joining in the criticism.
"He, too, is venting. Pressure exists in everyone’s heart: you, me, him—all have pressure. When faced with pressure, some people choose to talk, some choose shopping, and some choose—" Qian glanced at Yu Minglang, and they exchanged a knowing look.
Ahem, this part wasn’t for outsiders to know, skipping! Yu Minglang privately felt he really liked Qian’s method of relieving stress.
"And this animal, because he stepped down from the leadership position and can’t adapt to the situation, wants to regain the feeling of being on top again. But his personal skills are insufficient to regain that feeling on a new position; hence, he focuses his attention on the innocent little girl Weiwei. The logic is akin to someone upset kicking a newborn kitten or puppy by the roadside to vent instead of kicking a tiger at the zoo. It’s because bullying the weak has no cost, committing wrong deeds yet facing no punishment, all tyrants believe in this logic."
Qian’s explanation re-ignited the subdued fury among them, even the usually composed Yu Minglang found it hard to contain.
It made him want to crush that guy into pieces, too hateful!
"Do you mean that not only does the animal not feel remorse for its mistakes, but it proudly avoids legal penalty?"
