Chapter 367: Target necessary to eliminate for the peace of Western Continent

"The Final Round begins!" Javier announced in a booming voice.

This time, neither Lucifer nor the Flamebanes made any move.

"Why do you have that cloth tied over your eyes?" Magnus from the opposing side asked.

"Isn’t it obvious?" Lucifer shrugged. "I cannot see."

"A first-level Awakened Sage, and blind on top of that," Magnus sighed, facepalming.

Turning to Javier in the sky, he continued, "Warden Javier, can we request a change of opponent? He is too weak to fight even one of us. Please send Lyra El Thunderbane in his place."

"That is not possible, Disciple Magnus," Javier shook his head. "Once chosen, the participant cannot be changed."

"That will make this entire competition meaningless," Magnus protested. "Even the audience would not want to see us bully a weak blind man."

"Magnus is right, we do not want such an end to the competition!" someone from the audience shouted.

"Bring in Lyra El Thunderbane," another added.

"Remove Lucifer!"

"Remove Lucifer!"

"Remove Lucifer!"

The audience’s roars echoed throughout the stadium. Having witnessed the intense fight of Cedric and his teammates, the spectators now wished to see the victory of the Thunderbane Sect, which in their opinion was impossible if someone like Lucifer fought the final round.

However, the audience’s protest was brought to a halt when Aurelion himself stood up and announced, "The rules cannot be broken. Lucifer Morningstar will face the Flamebane Sect in the final round!"

Now that the King had delivered his verdict, no one dared to protest further. Under different circumstances, Aurelion might have considered asking Lucifer whether he truly wished to fight. However, knowing there was something unusual about his body, Aurelion wanted to see what this blindfolded man was truly hiding.

In a frustrated voice, Magnus said to one of his teammates, "Edmund, go and push him off the edge. Make sure not to hit him too hard."

"I will make sure not to hurt him, Brother Magnus," Edmund replied as he moved toward Lucifer.

Unlike what he said, he definitely intended to hurt him.

How could a weakling like him dare to speak to the Snow Goddess? He must be taught his place.

With that in mind, Edmund rushed at Lucifer, a wide smirk curling across his face.

"Tch, this is a disappointing ending to this competition," Magnus sighed, turning to his teammates as if they had already won. "I am looking forward to the Battle of Heirs—"

Before he could complete his statement, something suddenly went flying past him.

"Wh-what was that?" He instantly turned, only to find Lucifer standing still in his place, his hand extended forward in a fist.

"D-don’t tell me..." Magnus rushed toward the edge of the platform, only to find Edmund already lying on the ground below.

Chills ran down his spine as he realized that what he had thought to be a worn-out wolf was in fact a hidden lion.

"I was wrong, that man is dangerous," Magnus muttered inwardly, his eyes shifting toward the place where Lucifer had been standing.

"Where is he?" he muttered inwardly, unable to find him.

Just as he was about to move, a booming sound echoed, and another of his teammates went flying off the edge.

Then another, and another, and another.

Confusion clouded his mind as he desperately sharpened his focus to see what in the world was happening on the stage.

Only crimson lightning could be seen dancing across the platform around the disciples of the Flamebane Sect before they were thrown off the edge without even getting a chance to unleash their Soulforce.

"There he is!" Magnus muttered, finally spotting Lucifer, who was moving at the speed of lightning by repeatedly using the Blink skill.

"Everyone, form a barrier of flames!" Magnus shouted, drawing his sword.

Following his command, the Flamebanes materialized walls of fire around them to block Lucifer’s attacks. Meanwhile, Magnus launched a sharp, piercing spear of blue flames toward him.

"Oh? Flames of the heavenly class?" Lucifer murmured, narrowly dodging the spear.

Magnus only needed this momentary halt to quickly form a defensive formation along with his remaining eight teammates.

"I never thought the Core Disciple of the Thunderbane Sect would stoop to deceptive tricks to win the tournament," Magnus muttered furiously.

"Huh? I deceived?" Lucifer asked, confused.

"Do not act innocent!" Magnus shouted. "There is no way you are blind when you are attacking the exact location of each of us."

"I do not need my eyes to sense your presence. I can detect you through my other senses," Lucifer replied calmly as he slowly clenched his fist and pulled it backward until it aligned with his torso.

"H-he is going to use that move!" Lyra exclaimed in excitement, recognizing the attack Lucifer was about to unleash. She and Ume had already moved to the terrace of the arena as soon as Lucifer stepped onto the stage to witness his battle.

Bolts of crimson lightning began materializing around Lucifer’s fist. Sensing the danger, Magnus shouted, "Stop him!"

In an instant, all of them materialized multiple fireballs above their heads and hurled them toward Lucifer.

On the other side, Lucifer launched his fist forward at a terrifyingly blinding speed, forming rings of compressed air around it.

"Lightning Bolt Version: Galactic Punch."

A thunderous boom echoed throughout the arena, and the entire stage turned crimson the moment Lucifer unleashed his attack.

All the fireballs launched toward him were blasted backward by the sheer air pressure contained within Lucifer’s strike, while the bolt of crimson lightning landed directly upon the Flamebanes, hurling them all off the stage with bodies covered in burn marks and scorched skin.

The stadium fell silent upon witnessing such a devastating attack from a mere Level One Awakened Sage.

It was illogical. It was impossible. It was unbelievable. Yet none of them could deny its existence.

Once again, an anomaly had appeared within the Thunderbane Sect.

With this attack, he had already become a target that several people would deem necessary to eliminate for the peace of the Western Continent.
